DANIEL IS ALIVE AND TRIED TO KILL BROOKLYNN ⚠️
and all of Nublar Six, in fact. Let me explain.
Tumblr media
First of all, this post was made in deep collaboration with @gumbrellarts. Go follow her, guys, she's a insane JW fanartist ♥️
1. IT WASN'T SOYONA WHO WAS CHASING THEM IN SEASON 1
It was the mysterious The Handler's boss.
In a recap of what we are clearly told in the first two seasons, Cabrera works for Soyona and that is why she was in charge of the DVPH, but, just as Soyona says that Brooklynn only ordered them to be killed AFTER they invaded the Louisiana base (after the end of season 1), Cabrera also says that the allosaurus was sent ONLY TO SCARE Brooklynn, since she was getting closer to the investigation, just as he sent the threats to Ben. Soyona herself did not even know about Brooklynn's investigation until she went to Dubai.
It was told that the Handler was working for ANOTHER PERSON this whole time, who is the one who ordered the death of the Nublar Six with the raptors. Little is said about her mysterious boss, but it is necessary to make it clear here that he was mentioned once and never again.
2. WHO IS HER BOSS?
Tumblr media
Someone who "doesn't like loose ends". Who has said this before?
Tumblr media
Daniel Kon. Saying this seconds after ordering Darius' execution.
“No, he can't be him, he was in prision!”
Right. In JWCT first season, Daniel explains that he couldn't have killed Brooklynn because he was in prison, with no outside contact, but then he contradicts himself and says that he has been moving his pieces, with a new company to revive his own empire, in addition to knowing a lot of information about Kenji's post-establishment life (location, profession...).
“Ah, but Daniel sacrificed himself to save Kenji!”
Daniel's sacrifice in the first place makes no sense. Chaos Theory is a very well-written story, with very well-written psychological developments. He is the one who didn't sacrifice his own business to save Kenji's life in Camp Cretaceous: he didn't go after him when he disappeared and left him to die on the island. So, suddenly, he would feel solidarity to the point of sacrificing his own life because he developed affection for the son who ruined his career and left him in prison for 7 years? Having shown that he himself has not changed his ambitions, continuing with illegal business?
No, Daniel is not like that. Dying like that right there in that scene would be a quick, cliché and forced development.
“Oh, but even for Brooklynn he said she should bring Kenji, because he is the only thing left in the world for him. He's still bad but he felt lonely.”
No. He wanted her to bring him to talk about the business he wants Kenji to be the face of. Daniel is good at manipulating, we know that. He talks beautifully, he convinces well. And this is a skill he uses against us too: we are almost manipulated by him.
“Okay, CeCe, but he really looks like he died! Kenji was watching!”
Do you know who really looked dead? Ben. Brooklynn. Yes, Kenji was with his gaze fixated on him, but the angle was not enough for the dismemberment to be visible, neither to us nor to him. There were three dinosaurs on top of Daniel. The thing is, it's perfectly possible that it was simulated, we know that we're at a point in Jurassic World where dinosaur control and communication is extremely refined.
"And... the ankle bracelet?"
In the attack, the ankle bracelet scene can mean two things:
The first is what is given to understand more easily: that the animals attacked him, ripped off his leg, killed him.
However, in the Jurassic World book, there is a great emphasis on explaining how an animal attack, or a dinosaur attack, doesn't really leave any traces. That the belief that a piece of the person will be found, a piece of clothing, an accessory, is usually wrong: the animal devours him whole.
It's an important part of the book's lore, because it's from this fact that they claim with certainty that just because they found Tim's watch in the car, he was alive. A watch, just like a ankle bracelet.
Tumblr media
Or, the second: that he is finally free, without the ankle bracelet. As Brooklynn said: being dead is useful.
Remember what I said up there? The Handler's boss doesn't like loose ends, like Daniel. If Daniel Kon is the Handler's boss, it would make sense for her to help Daniel escape from prison.
Furthermore, remember that Kenji was the ONLY one of the Nublar Six who didn't have his address attacked by raptors from the beginning at Darius' house. Brooklynn had, Darius with Ben had, Sammy had, Yasmina had. The scene in the prison, so staged, was the only one where he seemed in this personal danger.
3. Daniel is the Handler's boss who was ordering the Nublar Six to be killed, here's another proof:
In Brooklynn's strategy, she used the same tactic with Daniel that she used with Soyona: pretending that she had changed, that she had become ambitious enough to fall into dinosaur trafficking. But, unlike Soyona, Daniel knows Brooklynn: it didn't work. He knows her, she ruined his life. He didn't say anything that would compromise him at the time to the point of making her get evidence against him and, later, he just pretended that he had agreed:
Daniel Kon sent a bag of money to Brooklynn (oh, since he has no external contact, he even knows Brooklynn's secret address), as if he had accepted the offer to buy a dinosaur from him. Then, they hacked Clever Girl's account so that the fake sale proposal would be confirmed so that Brooklynn would walk into the trap, where Handler would be ready to kill her.
4. Could he be one of Biosyn's new partners?
Hard to say, but I do believe yes!
It's clear for me he used to have a partnership with Soyona. Despite The Handler working "for both", Soyona has in her house the same Gaudi's artwork Daniel keeps in his own house, one of his favourites.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But, in search of "a new partnership", we know that now in the 3rd season Soyona will be with Dodgson… Who in Dominion, has all his dinosaurs controlled by a remote brain control chip, the technology that we know belongs to Daniel Kon.
Another suspicious detail is how there has been a strange and, so far, meaningless focus on Daniel growing plants. What exactly is one of Biosyn's main investments?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Translations: "They don't grow naturaly here, so it really takes some effort." / "None of the crops they're eating are Biosyn seed")
Is there a resumption of the partnership between the two men coming?
So, Daniel Kon faked his own death and is deeply involved in dinosaur trafficking.
Tumblr media
I hope we see more about him in this new season, since The Handler is back! Let me know, what do you guys think about this theory/analysys, guys?

ngl at first I thought that season 3 of jwct was going to be the last one but the more I think about it the more inclined I am to believe that maybe we are going to get more seasons?
*bone cracking sound* let's get into it, shall we?
A couple of things that jwct has to cover before the end:
Biosyn facility in Italy
Raptor Handler and Soyona meeting
Red the Atrociraptor reuniting (?) with the rest of Atrociraptors
Brooklynn (eventually) turning her back on Santos
Brooklynn reuniting with Camp Fam for real
Potentially (very high possibility) Malta
Bumpy's baby hatching (+ eventually, Bumpy and baby Bump reunion)
Tension between Sammy and her family explained
Ben's girlfriend reveal
Resolution of the tension between Kenji-Brooklynn-Darius
So this is how I see this playing out. (Head-ups - this is a result of my research but, let's be honest, also kind of a manifestation of my hopes and very much just a fan-theory. So take it easy)
If Brooklynn and Santos are really to reach Biosyn's center in Italy, I doubt it's going to be "in-and-out" type of visit. In Dominion Santos is entrusted with organizing a "transport" for Maise Lockwood; now let's remember that in the past Brooklynn researched the Lockwood mansion, I wouldn't be surprised if that came up at least briefly (perhaps, to even further ensure Soyona's trust, Brooklynn will offer some advice while simultaneously working on how to save the girl). Then, we have the matter of transported eggs – I'm sure that Brooklynn's gonna be very interested in where they are going etc etc. It's all going to take an appropriate amount of time. At the same time, the campers need time to actually reach Italy too, then potentially get to the facility (I think this is where Ben's conspiracy theory-induced knowledge may resurface – in season 1 it is confirmed that he has heard the theory about the mysterious locust).
We know that the Handler and Soyona absolutely have to meet (because both of them are hot). The Handler has three antrociraptors, Soyona only has Red. In Dominion (which takes place a little after current events of jwct) Soyona has all four antrociraptors at her disposal. Now, knowing about the bond between antrociraptors and the Hanlder, to me it kind of implies that eventually the Handler is completely separated from the raptors, and their bond is severed (does she die? does she lose her whistle and the raptors turn against her? I wouldn't put it past the showrunners to kill her tbh. Since her bond with the antrociraptors seems to be something more than just a whistle thing (as opposed to the clicking effect dr Sarr had on the Baryonyx)). I think that Soyona will call for the Handler when she realizes that the rest of Camp Fam are on their tail. Again - that takes time. The Handler has to get to Italy, find the Camp Fam, some sort of fight has to occur, she "loses" (somehow), Soyona gets pissed... All of that takes time.
Then, eventually, at some point, Brooklynn decides that she has gathered enough material to turn her back on Soyona and run away. I doubt it's going to be easy. I don't know if it's going to be a decision she makes on her own, or if it's going to be motivated by the Camp Fam being in danger. Either way, I doubt it's going to happen prior to the fouth/fifth episode.
So after Brooklynn "parts ways" with Soyona, she has to reunite with Camp Fam, and we know that it won't be easy. I think that some of the campers will warm up to her sooner (probably Ben for obvious reasons, Sammy and Darius), others later (Kenji will probably be the last one). I suspect that it may require some sort of "grand gesture" on Brooklynn's side. At first, I thought that maybe I'd be egg-related but I honestly doubt it? I think that she will meet Bumpy's baby post-hatching but that's a shoot in the dark tbh.
My personal theory is that Sammy's parents got somehow involved with Biosyn and Sammy didn't like that and that's what caused their parting. Since Sammy's family owns a ranch, they know a lot about, well, farming and what is the locust attacking? Ranches. So I assume that Biosyn has some sort of "informants". Maybe Sammy instantly figured out that something about Biosyn is off? Who knows. Either way, we need to learn what exactly is the reason behind the crisis within Gutierrez family and resolve it. And the way Sammy phrased that and kind of tip-toes around the topic, I think it will be somehow related to the plot + resolving it is going to take some time.
Then, I think it's safe to assume that eventually, we will end up in Malta since this is also where the events of JW Dominion take place. Remember how jwcc season 3 ended? We got an extra perspective on the events in JW movie - a perspective of campers. I think that with jwct, the showrunners may do a very similar thing (let's remember that JW is a franchise therefore, at least in theory, everything is somehow connected; such perspective would make a nice bridge between the series and the movies).
Now, this is where my own theory kicks in for real. If we look at jwcc and jwct in general, Soyona shapes to be the only villain that the Camp Fam won't ultimately defeat. Or... will they? Both Tiff and Mitch, Kash and even Daniel end up "losing" because of the Camp Fam (either directly or indirectly). Now, I haven't watched Dominion in a while but if I remember correctly the last scene with Soyona shows her as she's about to be arrested. This got me thinking... what if she somehow manages to escape? As far as we know, Soyona seems like the kind of person who always has a backup plan. Remember that she also has connections within DPW (now disbanded ofc) - she knows a lot of people, and a lot of people work for her. All of this is a theory but I wouldn't be surprised if, before the events of Dominion, she didn't have some sort of backup plan; for example Jensen from DPW who's ready to "react if things go south". So Soyona attempts to escape, and she escapes to the States (remember that eventually, the Camp Fam has to get there somehow lol). Who chases after her? The campers obviously because now it's more than just dinosaurs, now it's personal too – fueled by Brooklynn's hatred for Soyona, fueled by the need to see her "locked up" for good. I wouldn't be surprised if the creators of the show decided that it would be more fitting if Soyona was "captured" and brought to justice by the Camp Fam seeing as, ultimately, she plays "bigger villain" in jwct than in Dominion. So depending if the creators decide to do something like that or not - that could potentially be what season 4 would focus on - the final and ultimate defeat of Soyona Santos.
However. If they decide to end Santos plotline at where it ends in Dominion, there's still plenty to explore in a potential season 4. I wouldn't be surprised if Camp Fam ended up in the Biosyn's center again - for example, to recover the rest of eggs/make sure that they are safe, or (knowing Darius) to ensure that the dinosaurs will be safe there. [Ben's gf enters the chat] I strongly suspect that Ben's girlfriend (if she's real) has some sort of connection with Biosyn (the chance of these two meeting through Dark Jurassic is pretty high after all), depending on who she is, there could be a whole new plotline related to the character - making her "someone more" than just a person whose role boils down to being a mysterious girlfriend. If she works for Biosyn (spies?), I wouldn't be surprised if there was some extra secret hidden by this company. It's like... call me crazy, but I think that a huge company like that has a lot of connections. I wouldn't be surprised if it somehow led us back to (thankfully, now deceased) Daniel Kon - after all we know that he was secretly planning to rebuild his company, and still had a lot of money. So this is where I see a potential for another season of mysteries and events. (I also have a tiny theory on the side that Ben's "girlfriend" is actually, a guy aka Ramsay Cole - a head of communications in Biosyn; it would make sense for him to be on Dark Jurassic, knowing this character's plotline in Dominion; his age is not revealed but my guess is that he is around 25 years old. Also, one of the producers of jwct mentioned in an interview that he'd love to bring more characters from Dominion to jwct so... there you go. Idk just a theory, but it lines up. Especially with Ben being half-firm, half-awkward when talking about his partner yk).
I think there are honestly so many ways this show can be developed and... for good reasons too. Not just good reasons plot-wise but also because, well, let's be real jwcc/jwct is extremely popular. And the creators are aware of it. It's safe to assume that initially the show (jwcc) was supposed to be three seasons long but, due to its popularity, they added 2 more seasons and then decided to make a whole spin-off series. And the spin-off too is very popular and generally praised not only by the target audience (kids) but also but "older" jurassic fans. Seeing as Jurassic is a franchise, therefore, something that is supposed to "keep going" (fuel itself), jwcc and jwct are a perfect way to also introduce younger generations to the entire world of jurassic, literally "raising" them to be fans of the series, and a great way to keep other fans entertained as they wait for the next installments of the movie series (after all, a brand new JW trilogy is in plans).
So yeah. I've been meaning to make a post about it for a while but I wanted to make it as detailed and as "canon-aligned" as possible so it took me a while. Honestly, in the end, this is mostly just the hopes and dreams of a devoted jwcc fan who has been suffering from camp fam-brainrot for the past 4 years!
If you read it that far - it's time to touch some grass. I recently started growing my own in a flowerpot and... well, it doesn't really help but it's the thought that matters! if you have any thoughts about the upcoming installment(s?) of jwct - I'd love to hear them. And remember to be nice, we are all just fans after all :D

I don't think Brooklyn is the villain, I have a theory
Trailer spoilers
Tumblr media
Brooklyn has always been very curious, and there's no way she's stayed still all these years without getting into trouble. When Brooklyn and Kenji break up, she started all of this because she knew that what she was going to do could cost her life, the life of her boyfriend and her friends. That's exactly why she visited her friends before being "k1lled". Don't all these visits sound like a goodbye?
After the visits, she went after Mr. Kon (for those who remember correctly, Kenji's father), to get the money and continue investigating something that, as she said in the trailer, is much bigger than she ever imagined. That's why Mr. Kon said she revealed she was willing to get her hands dirty and that's why she "said goodbye" to her love life and friendships. She wants to go after the evil mind(s) that are behind the smuggling, mistreatment and trafficking of dinosaurs.
Tumblr media
When she burns the photo with the 6 of Nublar, that is, her best friends, it is not because she is the villain, nor because she wants to erase evidence (almost everyone knows who the 6 (six) of Nublar are, so it would not even make sense), she burns it as a symbol that she is willing to erase/"burn" the past or her friendships to continue her investigation. She is no longer the same Brooklyn we know because she put herself on another level, it is not possible to be the same after what she went through investigating this whole event, abandoning everyone she loves and losing a piece of her body.
And finally, she tried at the last minute to contact Darius because he always had the best decisions and strategies, but since she was attacked, the idea to "play dead" would obviously sound better and keep things more safe.
I don't think she did all this so her friends would find her out later. The fact that her friends found out about her is because it is almost inevitable, you leave traces. It's hard not to find evidence when they're desperate to find something and when they're also in the same danger of death as her, apparently from the same organization.
What are your opinions? I welcome corrections and additions to the theory (my first one lol)!

How "Jurassic World: Chaos Theory" Succeeds In Portraying Real-World Themes.
The narrative of Darius and Brooklynn in "Jurassic World: Chaos Theory" is a poignant and complex one, reflecting the intricate dynamics of relationships set against the backdrop of thrilling dinosaur adventures. The series takes a dramatic turn with the apparent demise of Brooklynn, a key character, at the jaws of an Allosaurus. This event sets off a chain of investigations by Darius and the crew, who are also grappling with being targeted for unknown reasons.
As the story unfolds, it's revealed that Darius was the first to discover the aftermath of the attack, leaving him deeply traumatized. In his struggle to cope with the loss, he continues to send messages to Brooklynn's voicemail, a testament to his profound connection to her. The series also delves into the emotional layers of the characters, showcasing Darius's unreciprocated feelings for Brooklynn, adding depth to their interactions and the overall narrative.
"Jurassic World: Chaos Theory" not only explores the thrilling aspects of its prehistoric setting but also humanizes its characters by exposing their vulnerabilities and the complexities of their interpersonal relationships. The interplay between Darius and Brooklynn's storyline and the overarching mystery surrounding the dinosaurs creates a compelling and multifaceted tale that resonates with audiences beyond the action-packed scenes.
Darius's journey through grief and coping with Brooklynn's loss in "Jurassic World: Chaos Theory" is a deeply emotional and humanizing aspect of the series. The narrative does not shy away from the raw and often messy process of mourning. Darius, who had developed a strong bond with Brooklynn, finds himself grappling with a profound sense of loss that affects him both personally and within the group dynamic.
The series portrays Darius's coping mechanisms through various stages, reflecting the complexities of grief. Initially, he is seen in a state of denial, unable to accept Brooklynn's fate. This denial is depicted through his continued attempts to communicate with her via voicemail, hoping for a response. As the reality sets in, Darius experiences a range of emotions, from anger and bargaining to a deep sadness that seems to engulf him.
Tumblr media
(We see Darius' Various Calls To Brooklynn, All From After She "Died") In an effort to process his grief, Darius immerses himself in the mission at hand, using the urgency of survival and the need to protect his friends as a way to channel his emotions. The series also shows him finding solace in the memories of Brooklynn, often reflecting on the moments they shared and the impact she had on his life.
The support of the group plays a crucial role in Darius's healing process. The collective grief and shared experiences with the dinosaurs create a bond that allows each character to find strength in one another. Through this support system, Darius begins to find a path toward acceptance, honoring Brooklynn's memory by continuing their shared mission and embracing the responsibilities she left behind.
Tumblr media
"Jurassic World: Chaos Theory" presents a nuanced exploration of grief, demonstrating that coping with loss is a personal journey that can take many forms. It highlights the importance of community, remembrance, and resilience in the face of unimaginable loss, providing a poignant reminder of the enduring human spirit even amidst prehistoric chaos.

You know what drives me crazy? The fact that Camp Creteceous has an episode called "Chaos Theory". It's season 2 episode 8 by the way. And ik we should be aware already cause we all watched the same shows, but I don't wanna gatekeep. And I need some input too. But I re-watched that to see if it had ties. And I didn't see any AT FIRST. But saying it out loud made me realise.
In that episode Tiff and Mitch are trynna hunt dinosaurs to make money from them. And that's basically one of the main plots in chaos theory. Mysterious people are buying dinosaurs for money and to do their bidding. Now I don't think Tiff and Mitch are capable of that, but you never know. Maybe they worked for a group of people who evolved over years, and became way more serious with their dinosaur illegal doings.
Also Mitch and Tiff are dead. I believe they're dead. But I wouldn't fully rule it out that they are alive. Because technically we never saw bodies, they where never mentioned again, and I don't remember seeing blood in the scene where they went on the boat. And the size of the dinos, if Tiff for eaten by them they would have been a mess of blood. Idk. But maybe it's not that deep. But why else would that specific episode be called Chaos theory, and not any other??? It's gonna love in my brain forever and a half sandwich.

Chaos Theory – Theories
Tumblr media
Gotta admit that I watched the trailer a few times already, and some theories had been showing up in my head. I decided to write them here to share them and mainly to comeback after the season drops to see which ones I got right.
Two Stories
The main one I had, and I had seen comments also mention it, is that we will see two main stories this season – the Camp Fam in the strange island and Brooklynn’s side of her accident. It was revealed at the end of season one that she was alive, so I think they won’t leave us hanging for long to tell us what happened the night of the back and where Brooklynn’s had been hiding all this time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sorna and Nublar 2.0
Season one ended with the Camp Fam jumping into a boat towards an unknown location, the trailer shows us that they left that boat (on accident or voluntarily pending to be confirmed) and arrived at what seems to be a version of Sorna but abandoned. The place is plagued with deserted facilities used to create dinosaurs, along with some dinosaurs in the wild. My theory is that the boat was directed to the version of Nublar, but the Fam arrived at this one instead. Along with the idea that the islands are maybe a backup made by InGen or the MantaCorp version of what Jurassic World had.  Judging by the state of the facilities, my theory is also that they suffered the same fate as the original.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dinosaur Liberation
We had a big revelation on the trailer and it knowing that Ben knew Brooklynn was alive. Ben throwed away his and Darius phone at beginning of season one, so I’m guessing he knew before the season started. In one of the flashbacks, it is told that Ben was the one showing Brooklynn the Dark Jurassic website, after her death he may had been a little to involved with the site and found the “Dinosaur Liberation” movement which led him to the clip showed in the trailer.
My theory here is that Brooklynn was the one that warned Ben about the Nublar Six being targeted. After her accident, she may have gone full spy hacker and figure out what happened. She then reached Ben knowing that from all of them, he was the one that would believe her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Camp Fam learning Brooklynn is alive
My theory for this one is quite a stretch, but I believe Brooklynn is behind the entire liberation thing and that the islands showed on the trailer are the safe haven they are trying to build for the dinosaurs. If the Fam went to explore the places, they could have found evidence of Brooklynn being alive and confront Ben about it (when he doesn’t seem surprised or confess?) Another option is Brooklynn being at that island and the group finding her.

Bonus note: Can’t my girl catch a break??

a few disclaimers before i get into this post:
I have not watched anything past the halfway point of JWCC S4, but I do have a general gist of the plot
I've watched the final s2 scene and a few of the flashback scenes / other scenes from JWCT and S4/S5 of JWCC
I was never a fan of Kenji/Brooklynn, and always preferred Brooklynn/Darius
So I may get things wrong / have missed other lines or opposing sentiments in canon — please feel free to correct me in the comments/replies!
That said, thinking about what I do know, story framing, and the themes it seems like they're setting up... I think it's very likely Darius/Brooklynn will be endgame, and here's why.
1) Having Darius be in love with her at all
This is the biggest one I think, but not perhaps for the reason you may think. For starters, this is noteworthy purely because it's not really 'necessary'. There were a lot of other paths to get to the same place, re: Darius not going to see Brooklynn when he said he would and subsequently feeling guilty about her death. He could've even just been busy (maybe something with the anniversary of his father's death) or even more reserved and upset over Brooklynn and Kenji being broken up, perhaps on Kenji's behalf.
Instead, they chose to have a main character state that he's in love with another main character, and that it's accordingly complicated/messy. However, in the current framing, Darius and Kenji's relationship had more of a fallout over Darius not being there than Darius being in love with Brooklynn being an issue. It's heavily impacted him as a character, but for the other two people in the 'triangle', less so (though we see more of Brooklynn's side of things in S2 of JWCT).
We also see from JWCT that Brooklynn does not, as Darius tells it, make it clear that she doesn't have feelings for him. She doesn't say that she doesn't like him, she doesn't even say no, nor does she let him have an easy out from his accidental confession. Instead she seeks to clarify and only fumbles when Darius asks if she feels the same for him, which is understandable given she's semi-recently (3-6 months?) gotten out of a long-term relationship with their mutual best friend.
B: Did you just say 'love'? D: Oh that? No, I mean, I love all my friends the same way. Well, not the same way, but e-equally. The same amount of love. Even if... the love is different. B: And is the love different with me? D: Maybe. But our friendship is too important to me, and Kenji's my best friend, so let's just forget about it. Unless... B: Darius, I just don't think... I'm not really ready for—
Which makes sense. In Brooklynn's head, she's had one relationship fail because of her drive/work, and getting into another one wouldn't be smart with that in mind. And again, she's left a 6 year long relationship, moving on is going to take time even just in terms of figuring how to be single as a person in their early 20s.
However, we know that Brook and Kenji had been broken up long enough, and she'd been staying with Darius long enough, for him to develop feelings.
Tumblr media
D: But when she came to stay with me, things started to change.
And we also see more than once that Kenji thinks it's plausible that Brooklynn could've loved Darius in return:
Tumblr media
K: So my best friend fell in love with my ex-girlfriend. Did she love you back?
There's also the way this is tethered directly to Darius' character arc. If his 'origin point' in JWCT is that he feels like he failed Brooklynn and blames himself for her death, routinely framed under the language of 'needing,' then that sets up a character arc where he comes through for her (even though he's let go of his self-blame about her death "I couldn't have changed what happened" in the s1 finale).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
'Being there,' or rather not there, is also a crucial aspect of what led to Kenji and Brooklynn breaking up.
Tumblr media
K: I can't be with you anymore if you're not going to be with me.
(Which, Kenji trying to show Brooklynn something beautiful with the caveat "it doesn't last long," and then they break up? Yeah.) And we see that Darius is committed to being there simply because he's called her, sometimes multiple times a day, for months.
Tumblr media
Even down to it being ultimately his idea to get on the ship, and everyone else following his lead (Kenji most reluctantly of all), when getting on the ship and going in deeper is identified as
Tumblr media
So Darius being there for Brooklynn is something that has to happen in the future, which does not seem to be a part of Kenji's arc, and also works in tandem with Brooklynn needing to let people in / help her (which Darius can also relate to, as they are both fiercely independent and "keep trying to do everything alone"). He's become the person she Needs, narratively, and that's a very hard thing to undo and one that lends itself well to the idea of a future romance.
2) Darius vs Kenji as partners
This is not to say that Brooklynn is a perfect partner, even before things got bad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She decidedly wasn't for Kenji at least in in the final stages of their romantic relationship, but merely that we routinely see her put her faith in and seek out things from Darius that she never seeks out from Kenji or the rest of the group in the same matter, and they know it. (The fact that Darius' boss Ronnie is also the one who tends to her, and the only person at the point in-universe, to think there's something between the two, also stands out to me.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For example, the biggest actual issue with Brooklynn being so distracted is that for months (years?) she refused to tell Kenji anything about what she was doing with Dark Jurassic:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For a multitude of her own personal reasons, she didn't trust him with it. That doesn't mean Darius and Kenji are never in the same boat — she faked her death and left both of them, alongside everyone else in the group, in the dark — but that Brooklynn was pretty clearly going to bring Darius into the fold in ways she was never going to do so with Kenji, previously. It's not as though Brooklynn's obsession with the possible smuggling was the healthiest thing in the world, either, but she is 1) an investigative reporter, and 2) that drive to Know things is what sent her to Camp Cretaceous in the first place. If she'd approached things as a team (like she was trying to do with Darius, albeit very belatedly and likely because it felt like she didn't have other options), it wouldn't have been so unhealthy. It was that she was so routinely distracted without really sharing how and why, and therefore not letting anyone help pace her or help her at all, that was the problem.
In a lot of ways then, it's not so much "who's the better partner for her between Darius and Kenji" (though there is some of that), as much as it is "Which one does Brooklynn treat like a partner," and uh... I'd say Darius; her coming and crashing at his place semi long term immediately after her breakup only lends to this, tbh.
Speaking of which, next to the framing of it within Darius' plotline, this is the 2nd most 'damning' piece of evidence to me that they're, at the very least, not going back to Brooklynn/Kenji:
Identity theme
Initially pinged by the S2 trailer's big line of "I'm not the same Brooklynn you knew," it was clear that they were going to explore Brooklynn going on a tumultuous series of changes (possibly reflected by a change in hairstyle) and the idea that she no longer fits / belongs with her old life and her old friends.
This idea of "I'm not who I was / you're not who I thought so we can't be together" is not a new idea in terms of Brooklynn and Kenji falling apart, as we see it in S5 quite prominently:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They, of course, come back from that, as Kenji chooses Darius / the group over his father, and swears to never abandon them again. Nor does he abandon Brooklynn in breaking up with her, even if it leads to a much larger distance between them, with neither being physically or emotionally present with one another. It can be easy to chalk up Brooklynn's sentiment here, then, as being similar:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They can leave without her, because the Brooklynn (the 'you') is one she thinks no longer exists. As Brooklynn immediately follows up with, "I have a job to finish," showing that her determination and willingness to do anything to expose the smuggling ring is the 'one thing' that has stayed intact from Before everything went down (pre-breakup and fallout, etc). She also still gives the team Bumpy's egg, showing that she won't actually fully forsake them and that she does still care.
And, in some ways, I think Brooklynn is sort of right. The person they all deeply new is not who she is; she has become someone new because of her experiences, her loneliness, and trauma. She can't go back to being the old Brooklynn who hadn't lost an arm or cut her hair or hadn't faked her death.
This is pretty similar to what Darius worries in S5, after all:
B: Trust me, Kenji is the one who lost his way, not you. D: What if I'm changing? All the "life or death" situations, the choices between this bad thing or that even worse thing, it's turning me into someone I don't know. Someone I might not like. B: You know why we all look to you? Because your light burns bright, Darius Bowman. No amount of terrible choices can put it out. And I'll follow you anywhere.
So at Darius' biggest moment of doubt, Brooklynn affirms that she knows and sees the real him underneath the terrible choices he's made or their even worse circumstances, and that she sees him as the hero he is, and one that she'll follow. We also know throughout both shows that Darius thinks highly of Brooklynn ("Darius thinks the world of you!"); this doesn't mean idolization or idealization for either of them, but that what might be flaws for other people is not for each other. The scene where they discuss what happened with the breakup is not Brooklynn being entirely fair to Kenji, nor is Darius' tale of what happened ("She was really sorry, for not paying attention, for not appreciating all of this") since it was never discussed in that way. Instead, Brooklyn states that Kenji:
Tumblr media
Brooklynn will possibly have an arc where she puts her friends above her mission, much like Kenji had to put his friends above his father. The push and pull of whether friends or dinosaurs' safety is worth more has been a frequent issue, with S3 and S5 notably making it clear that Brooklynn and Darius will both put dinosaurs first, and Kenji won't. This continued into JWCT for Brooklynn as well. I don't think her solution is to not be as obsessive but to allow others in on helping her. She's not being entirely fair to Kenji in her assessment of why they broke up, but the fact she tethers it to identity, something she is wrestling with all the more in S2...
If you feel on a fundamental level that your partner wants you to be someone other than who you are, it is extremely hard to come back from that. The fact that Brooklynn doesn't feel ready to face her friends because of how changed she is, and facing their potential reactions, reflects this uncertainty that she might be someone they don't recognize or no longer love. (Cue literally looking at her own changed reflection and citing what she had said to Darius: "I'm not really ready for...")
Tumblr media
This uncertainty has made Brooklynn into someone who runs. She runs away from her friends, she runs away from her feelings, because she's not ready for potentially drastic changes. Therefore in order to grow, she has to trust Darius to be there for her again, he has to make a different choice... they're not the same as they were, maybe, but that doesn't mean they're totally different, or that she's a Brooklynn that he no longer loves.
The way she says "I'm not the same Brooklynn you knew" is also framed as being to the group, yes, but with a specific emphasis on Darius. I'm not the Brooklynn you think is so dedicated and wonderful, tackled onto I'm not the Brooklynn you'd do anything for, because you didn't.
Tumblr media
They both have to meet in the middle in order to grow characters; Darius has to affirm that his devotion and love/loyalty for her is unchanged, and Brooklynn has to accept that she can still be a Brooklynn he's in love with, someone who's dedicated and wonderful and accepts his help.
Tumblr media
Everyone over and over has reiterated that she needed him. It's not surprising, therefore, if the series decides to go with a romance, and say that she still does.

What I really want out of Chaos Theory (amongst other things) is the return of Dave’s mixtapes.
Like it comes on while they’re travelling cause one of them put it on the roadtrip playlist and none of them even bat an eye when it starts playing because Dave’s mixtapes are just a part of the camp fam™️ culture at this point.
Or we find out that Dave is a quasi celebrity because he had a SoundCloud that the Nublar 6 all followed when they got back from the island. And for a while they were the only followers Dave had, but he still enthusiastically posted new music plenty and the Nublar 6 would get on Skype and have listening parties and would all comment stuff hyping Dave up on SoundCloud. Then at some point someone realized that all the Nublar 6 are following this one random guy on SoundCloud and Dave’s account blows up overnight with all these people trying to figure out what the deal is.
Or I need Brooklyn, alone after faking her death and missing the others, putting on one of Dave’s mixtapes to cheer her up and remind her of the others.
I just think Dave’s mixtape should make a comeback in chaos theory guys.

okok having concluded my 5th(?) rewatch of chaos theory, i have a theory. a chaos theory theory, you might even say (i definitely will)
specifically about the becklespinaxes.
everyone agrees its weird they were all mindless-killery, right? going after the van when much easier prey is trapped on an island for the picking? but what if - and hear me out - they were hopped up some variation of cc's hormone imbalancers?
sammy mentions a mantah corp island investigation, during which all of mae and kash's dino research could be discovered... and turned over to a goverment branch trusted with the welfare of dinosaurs, because where better to safekeep it?
the dpw is also presumably responsible for containing dinosaurs for some time, which means feeding them. all you need to do is introduce some of those hormone blocks into a meal and you've got a raging dino even after it's eaten its fill of human snacks. perfect for a strike on your enemies when they're in a populated place
this would also explain the docile blankness of the dinos at the dpw pen, because Watering Hole Peace is far from an exact science. the camp fam has previously disrupted dinos chilling at a watering hole in cc anyway so the logic doesn't stand. as sammy said, "that usually works."
so what im saying is what if the dpw dinos were stoned out of their minds the entire time

I have an extremely farfetched theory abt The Handler that I shall share anyway. What if the reason she’s so like linked with the Biosyn Atrociraptors and shows some characteristics of being raised along SIDE them is cuz she’s ACTUALLY the daughter of LEWIS DODGESON
Tumblr media
Like hear me out hear me out…Dodgeson had a daughter, and since bro is a bit cray cray and the head of Biosyn, he creates these raptors, takes one good look at his daughter and thinks “Omg brainblast.” and makes her work alongside the raptors since the raptors WERE bred as “attack dogs” or sum shit. OR as a child in a random ass lab that her father owned, would like sneak off to go hang with the raptors when they were babies, all of a sudden OOPS they imprinted on her, now they think she’s their long lost sibling‼️ Lewis is like “fuck it imma put this to good use” and just makes her the Atrociraptor Handler because she knows the raptors well.
I’m probably wording this VERY horribly, so lemme try to explain again 😭 The Handler seems to have some personal connections with Biosyn, given that she is APART of a raptor pack Biosyn created. Not like she just pops in and pops out Owen Grady style, nah, it was like she was raised WITH them. Grew up in the SAME SPACE as them. The lab that Lewis is head of. This “Broker” she works for (who I am convinced is Dodgeson) Is actually her cray cray father who recognized the fact that his daughter formed some kind of bond with the raptors his company made, and put it to good use. Yeah this probably doesnt make sense, but thats what theories are‼️ Pls share any thoughts you have on this

bonus actual theory, we’re defo getting a lot of flashbacks in season 2, bcs I mean Brooklynn is probably traumatized poor baby and we’re still owed that Darius flashback and she has a a perfectly good model that I doubt would only have been used for a couple minutes since those can be pretty expensive

remember when in the last episode Santos shows Brooklynn the live video footage of the blind baryonyx and Red attracting dr. Sarr? It's really interesting because notice how this situation almost perfectly parallels how Brooklyn lost her arm - there was also a dinosaur with a visual impairment involved (the allosaurus) on the scene and there was also an atrociraptor there. So like, of course, on its own watching this and making others watch scenes like this is cruel but I think that Santos knew exactly what she was doing there – reminding Brooklyn of the fear she felt back then because people who are scared are much easier to manipulate. I think that Santos (an incredibly smart character after all!) saw an opportunity and seized it. And it doesn't really matter that Brooklynn turned away and ended up not watching the moment of dr. Sarr's death – the point wasn't for her to actually see it, the point was to unlock those memories, make her panic a bit, and hope to remind her what can happen if Brooklynn betrays her
(Of course, we know what Brooklynn's goal is but remember that Santos, a naturally suspicious woman, wants to solidify this new partnership in every way possible. I don't think that it was her plan since the very beginning - she only learned about the baryonyx when she arrived at the lab but let's be real - she is a quick thinker. And while, yes, Brooklynn saved her life just a moment ago, I wouldn't put it past Santos to still have a sliver of doubt in her heart just because that's her character and just because she knows how dangerous it is to put faith in the wrong people. For her fear is as good of a base for a partnership as any other)

Does anyone else find Mateo slightly suspicious? Like there is no way that he showed up on the two most opportune times coincidentally or that his daughter managed to track all of the Nublar Six down with her phone
My theories are that he’s being forced to work with the bad guys because they’re threatening his daughter or something or he’s working with Brooklynn and that’s why he managed to find the others and show up when they needed help

Why Darius X Brooklynn Is Going To Be Endgame For Jurassic World Chaos Theory.
"Jurassic World: Chaos Theory" is an animated series that serves as a direct sequel to "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous." The show, which airs on Netflix, is set six years after the events of Camp Cretaceous and follows the adventures of "The Nublar Six," a group of characters who are navigating a world now populated by dinosaurs. The series delves into a conspiracy that threatens both dinosaur and human life, while also exploring the personal journey of the characters as they learn the truth about what happened to one of their own.
Season 1 of "Jurassic World: Chaos Theory" introduces us to something the fandom has wanted for a long time, that is the romance between Darius and Brooklynn.
Season 2 of "Jurassic World: Chaos Theory" introduces us to what actually happened, in Brooklynn's point of view, and even what made Darius not show that night. A lot of fans were disappointed when the show's sequel, "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous" failed to put these two characters together, knowing that they had more chemistry than Kenji and Brooklynn. But it seems the show writers might actually fix this wrong. Here's why: 1) Why Introduce it? A lot of people will argue that even though the series mentioned it, it doesn't mean they will build on it. But that's where they're wrong. Everything happens for a reason. The Writers will not have introduced it, unless they have some plan to build on it in the future.
2) Why Go To Darius? We know that Brooklynn went to stay with Darius, while she was going to go "Buy the Allosaurus". Now, Brooklynn could have easily stayed at a hotel, but she choose to stay with Darius, Darius of all people. 3) The Phone Code. We see in Season 1, Kenji and Darius find her phone. When Kenji Attempts to unlock the phone, he fails after a few attempts, however when Darius tries to unlock it, it immediately opens. Why Brooklynn Trusted Darius with her phone code more than Kenji, we don't know. But, why if you didn't trust/care for someone, would you give them the key to your phone, one of the most private places? And why could you not trust your Ex-Boyfriend with that password? 4) Her Response. When Darius accidently told her about his love for her, she never flat-out denied it. Now again, Many claim "It doesn't mean that she did." BUT, it also doesn't mean that she didn't. We see Darius backtrack, similar to what Kenji did in Season 4 of Camp Cretaceous, and Darius DOES NOT let her finish her sentence. Could she have felt the same way, we don't know. We really won't know until Season 3 of Chaos Theory, comes out. 5) Her Reaction To Seeing Him In The Season 2 Finale.
Notice How her eyes expand MORE with Darius rather than Kenji. This is my convincing factor that Darlynn is going to happen and that it isn't just some obsession we aren't going to get.
Further Evidence:
In Season 5 Of Camp Cretaceous, When The Two Were Alone And Darius Confided In Brooklynn, We See Her Say These Words.
This was my further convincing factor that this story isn't over. What Do You Think, Will We Get Darlynn Or Will We Be Disappointed, Yet Again? Thank you for your time, and I hope you have a great day!

Y’all know the theories about Brooklyn being Ben’s “gf in Europe”
What if he like knows it’s Brooklyn
Or like has suspicions that it might be
Like HEAR!ME!OUT!
Throughout the series Ben has never referred to Brooklyn as dead or said since brooklyns death (correct me if I’m wrong)
(Edit I was wrong )
What if he thinks she might be alive but isnt sure yet so that’s why he isn’t saying anything to the others
Obvi insane theory it’s real dumb but hey it’s fun
