The specific schedule will be disclosed to consumers later
For consumers empty lotion bottles like Japanese cosmetics, especially niche brands, the news that CHICCA will cease operations should be sad enough. On July 1, the high-end cosmetics brand CHICCA, a high-end cosmetics brand of Kanebo (Kanebo, once used as a translation of Kanebo), a cosmetics company under Kao, Japan’s largest daily chemical group, issued a Japanese-English-Chinese trilingual announcement on its official website, announcing that the brand would cease operations. Starting in the autumn of 2019, sales in offline and online channels have been suspended one after another.
The specific schedule will be disclosed to consumers later on the official website and subscription emails. According to the response given by Kao's public relations department in an interview with Japanese media Netorabo, the relevant decision was made after 'reviewing the entire process of the Kao Group's business strategy.' The reporter inquired about the Kao Group's financial reports in recent years and found that this decision was actually a foretaste. The Kao Group has repeatedly mentioned its '2030 long-term goal' and the 'K20 mid-term plan' set to achieve the long-term goal in recent years.
According to the goal, Kao Group will eventually become a daily chemical group with high profit growth rate, high shareholder return, and global consumer influence. This is why at least the last three years of financial reports can be seen in the Kao Group's proposal to make new plans for the core business of cosmetics. In the 2019 comprehensive annual report, the Kao Group specifically explained related strategies: For the global and Japanese local markets, Kao will carefully select brands, and then use a new brand portfolio to compete in the market. The first proposal of related strategies can be traced back to May 2018.
According to reports from many Japanese media, Kao will select about 11 global brands and 8 domestic brands from the 49 cosmetics brands. Keep it. The name of CHICCA has not been seen in the incomplete list given by many media. At that time, there were many speculations that CHICCA would eventually be 'cut off' by the Kao Group.

Poco X2 Review

Like many of its competitors, Xiaomi has spun the Poco sub-brand off into its own company, just in time for the launch of the Poco X2. The brand is of course well known because of the iconic Poco F1, but it has been well over a year since that model was launched. Poco is now on its own, though it will likely share many resources with Xiaomi for the foreseeable future. The new Poco X2 is sure to be noticed, however fans should be clear that this is not the next version of the Poco F1, and doesn’t follow the same formula at all. The Poco X2 is much more conventional and somewhat less path-breaking than its illustrious predecessor.
This phone isn’t made of plain plastic and isn’t trying to prioritise core specifications and raw power over everything else. Of course people are still expecting Poco to take the lead in terms of pricing, and to an extent, it does. Starting at just Rs. 15,999, the Poco X2 takes the Realme X2 (Review) on and somewhat overshadows the Redmi K20 (Review) as well as the Redmi Note 8 Pro (Review).
Will Poco set off another firestorm in the Indian market, and does this mark the beginning of a new era of competitiveness? We can’t wait to get started on our review to find out.
Poco X2 design
While the Poco F1 (Review) is unapologetically plain-looking and made of simple plastic in order to remain affordable, Poco is trying a different approach here. What we have is a bright, colourful glass rear with a gradient tone and an unusual circular design around the vertical camera strip. Our Atlantis Blue unit was lighter on the top and darker going down, but you can also choose Phoenix Red or Matrix Purple. There’s a Poco logo towards the bottom, and no “by Xiaomi” tag like the F1 had. The frame of the phone matches the colour of the lower one-third of the rear panel.
The main bit of design flair is the circular patch. You might think at first that Poco has gone with a raised camera module like what we’ve seen on the OnePlus 7T (Review) and Nokia 7.2 (Review), but it’s just a patch with a smooth finish while the glass around it looks frosted. Also, despite the fact that it’s quite flat, Poco has managed to make this patch reflective like a convex mirror, and we were somewhat able to frame a selfie taken with the rear camera. The vertical strip that actually houses the four cameras sticks out quite a bit and has slightly rough edges.
With a 6.67-inch screen, this is undoubtedly a large phone. The tall 20:9 aspect ratio helps with reachability and the non-slippery rear makes for a decent grip. It’s still difficult to get to all parts of the screen with a thumb though, making one-handed use potentially awkward. Your eye will be drawn to the wide dual-camera cutout in the upper right corner of the screen – it isn’t too noticeable in ordinary use, but definitely is a distraction when watching full-screen video.

The wide dual-camera cutout in the screen is quite noticeable
The power button on the right doubles as a fingerprint sensor, but it’s long and thin, which isn’t ideal. The fingerprint registration process took longer than usual, since the Poco X2 has to make sure it can work with just a narrow slice of your fingerprint. Left-handed users will find this placement awkward, and you’ll need to enrol at least two or three fingers so you can unlock the phone when it’s in your hand and on a table. The sensor is flush with the side of the phone which also meant we didn’t always line our fingers up with it perfectly.
The volume buttons are above the power button, which puts them slightly out of reach. There’s an infrared emitter on the top, like with many Xiaomi phones. Sadly, the tray on the left is of the hybrid variety so you’ll have to sacrifice a second SIM if you need a microSD card, and vice versa. There’s a 3.5mm audio socket, USB Type-C port, and speaker on the bottom.
Poco says it has used Gorilla Glass 5 for the front as well as rear of the X2. A clear transparent case comes with this phone and we’re glad to see there’s no pre-applied screen protector. You also get a SIM eject pin, a 27W charger, and a USB Type-C cable. The charger is one of the bulkiest we’ve ever seen.
Overall, it seems as though Poco wanted to create a distinct identity for the X2 and for itself as a brand. We’re not sure that all the design choices here are for the best, but this phone is at least unique and recognisable from the front as well as the back. We would have liked a neutral colour option, though.

The Poco X2 is available in three vibrant colour options
Poco X2 specifications and software
As we stated earlier, the Poco X2 should not be seen as the successor to the Poco F1, and as such it isn’t trying to offer a flagship-grade SoC at mid-range prices. You do get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, which is pretty much the next best thing. This is the same chip that powers this phone’s primary competitor, the Realme X2, so we can assume that gaming and general-purpose performance will be solid.
You can buy the Poco X2 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for Rs. 15,999; 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for Rs. 16,999; or 8GB of RAM and a whopping 256GB of storage for Rs. 19,999. We have the top-end variant with us for review and if you choose this one, the hybrid dual-SIM tray won’t be much of a problem.
The 6.67-inch 2340×1080-pixel display has a killer feature to boast of – a 120Hz refresh rate. This is a subtle feature but it really does improve the quality of the usage experience, making the Android UI feel smooth and responsive. Poco calls this feature “RealityFlow” and it isn’t hard to see why. Games will benefit the most from this, but they have to explicitly support it and not a lot do yet. HDR-10 is also on the spec sheet.
There’s also a 4500mAh battery, dual VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS, FM radio, and all the standard sensors. Interestingly, the design and specifications of the Poco X2 are practically identical to those of the Redmi K30 being sold in China. It will be interesting to see how the two brands segment and differentiate themselves if the Redmi K30 is launched here.

You’ll find a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio socket, and speaker on the bottom
Poco’s UI is identifed as Poco Launcher as well as MIUI 11.0.3 in different parts of the UI. It looks and feels like what we’ve seen recently on the Redmi K20 (Review) and Redmi K20 Pro (Review). It’s based on Android 10, and we have the December 2019 security update which is good to see.
Xiaomi’s software strategy has always been a point of contention and now Poco has inherited the same issues. There’s a lot of preloaded bloatware and we saw multiple annoying notifications each day asking us to download more through the company’s own GetApps store, or watch random celebrity-themed videos. There are also promotional messages on the lock screen, which you can disable. You’ll see ads and promoted content in many of the default apps. On the whole though, we noted that all this seems to have been toned down a little compared to what we’ve dealt with in the past.
Among the many preinstalled apps, you’ll find Mi Pay and Mi Credit, Xiaomi’s apps for UPI transactions and personal loans respectively. There’s are of course several redundant Mi apps including a Web browser, photo gallery and calendar, but some others such as Mi Remote, Themes, and Screen Recorder are useful. The third-party selection, including Helo, Gaana, Amazon Shopping, Dailyhunt, Opera, and more, are removable. The GetApps store will try to make you download plenty more, so be sure to look for the ‘Skip’ option.
There are plenty of UI customisation options. Not only is there now an app drawer, but it has tabs that filter various categories of apps for easy access. Nice touches include a search bar at the bottom of the drawer so you don’t have to stretch, and neatly grouped “Special features” in the Settings app. These features include the Game Turbo optimisation mode, Quick Reply panels for messaging apps, and Second Space for privacy.

The Snapdragon 730G is no slouch, and the Poco X2 breezed through all our apps and usage scenarios. We did see some very slight stuttering in UI once or twice but it was only momentary. Multitasking was not a problem at all. Of course, this experience applies to the top-end variant that we are testing, which has 8GB of RAM. The only problem we had was stretching our thumbs to reach all parts of the screen. The phone didn’t get too hot in use either, and we only felt a mild warmth when playing games or using the cameras for a while.
The screen isn’t the most vivid or crisp, but it is fairly bright and engaging, and viewing angles are great. Whether or not the wide dual-camera hole annoys you will be a subjective matter – we found ourselves largely forgetting it was there when watching videos, but then suddenly being distracted by it when a bright scene came on. We also noticed a bit of backlight unevenness around the cutout.
You only get a single speaker on the bottom of this phone but it’s very loud and the sound is impressively deep and rich. Music distorts if the volume level is above 60 percent or so, but anything less than that is fine for personal listening.
A few of our benchmark tests were restricted from running on our pre-release review unit, but we do have some numbers to share. AnTuTu gave us a score of 2,80,912 which is very good. The Geekbench 5 single-core and multi-core scores were 548 and 1,759. 3DMark and GFXBench were both unable to run so we don’t have graphics scores, but we did run some of today’s more demanding games and got some real-world experience with the Poco X2.
PUBG Mobile defaulted to the High preset. The game was enjoyable and ran without any lag. Asphalt 9: Legends also worked very well, not stuttering even when we smashed headlong into other cars, which is typically a stressful visual effect.
We found the Poco X2’s battery life to be decent, and we didn’t feel any anxiety about getting through a full day, from morning to night. During that time we used the cameras quite a lot, played a few rounds of PUBG Mobile, streamed about an hour of video, and spent some time on social media apps. Our HD video loop test ran for 13 hours, 43 minutes, which is not a great result but might be influenced by how large the screen is.

The Poco X2 has four rear cameras including a 64-megapixel primary camera
Poco X2 cameras
The Poco X2 has four rear and two front cameras. The primary 64-megapixel rear camera has an f/1.89 aperture and uses the Sony IMX686 sensor which succeeds the widely used IMX586. There’s also an 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera with a 2cm-10cm focal range as well as autofocus, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The primary selfie camera has a 20-megapixel resolution and is accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Poco’s camera app takes a little time to get used to. You have to use the zoom control to switch to the wide-angle camera (marked only as 0.6x) but going the other way to 2x performs a digital zoom since there’s no optical zoom capability. There’s a separate toggle button at the top for the macro camera. It’s a bit tedious to swipe through the mode selector which has a lot of options including 64-megapixel, Pro, Portait, Night, Short Video, and Slow Motion. Unfortunately, photos are branded with a Poco watermark by default, and we wish all manufacturers would stop doing this.

We very occasionally had trouble getting the primary camera to lock focus perfectly, and stepping back from our subject a bit often helped. Photos came out very well exposed with vibrant colours. When the composition allowed, there was very natural-looking depth of field. Fine details on objects such as flower petals came out well, as long as there was good natural light and they were in the centre of the frame. In shadowy areas and at the edges of daylight shots, details were somewhat lost and we did start seeing some grain.

The wide-angle camera takes poorer quality shots, as expected, but were were happy to see that warping at the sides is minimal. Macros were completely washed-out and it was often hard to take a shot without the phone itself casting a shadow on our subjects.
Low-light shots were also relatively impressive though of course detail is not as well defined as during the day. You can get usable shots as long as there’s a little lighting around, whether indoors or out. The night mode does make a considerable difference and you don’t have to stand still too long. Using this brightens frames and shows details that would have been lost in the shadows.

Poco X2 low-light camera samples (top: primary camera; middle: Night Mode; bottom: ultra-wide camera), tap to see full-size
You can take portrait selfies and adjust a virtual aperture to vary the intensity of the depth effect. Edge detection is quite good too. However, the overall quality of photo taken with the front camera isn’t as impressive as we would have liked. Backgrounds were overblown in the daytime and details looked a bit artificial. It also takes too many taps and swipes to disable the default beautification.
As for video, we liked what the Poco X2 managed to capture in the daytime when recording at 1920×1080. Video was crisp with smooth motion tracking and reasonable stabilisation. Sadly, when we switched to 4K, colours became overexaggerated and there was a warm cast to the clips we recorded. At night, even mild motion caused severe shimmer and motion was quite jerky. Objects weren’t clearly discernible and bright lights caused exposure issues. 4K video shot at night was barely usable.

Verdict
Offering high-end specifications at rock-bottom prices is the simplest way to succeed in the Indian market, and Xiaomi has been one of the biggest forces here for years now. The Chinese giant constantly pushes out new models that raise the bar in terms of value, whether the focus is on style, battery life, cameras, specifications, or attention-grabbing features.
While the Poco X2 doesn’t have quite the impact that the Poco F1 did, it still does everything it needs to, and pricing is its main advantage. The Realme X2 (Review) and Redmi K20 (Review) have dominated the sub-Rs. 20,000 market of late and many recent models, such as the Oppo F15 (Review) and Vivo S1 Pro (Review) have simply not been able to match them in terms of power and features. Now, the Poco X2 makes all of them look a little worse in comparison.
The processor, RAM, storage, battery, and cameras are all strong, and there’s nothing to complain about in terms of build quality or the included accessories. We do, however, wish that the UI eased up on the bloatware and nagging notifications much more, and frankly the rear of the Poco X2 is a little too garish for our taste. Some people will also struggle with the sheer size of this device.
If cost is your main motivator, then the Poco X2 is the new obvious choice in its segment. That doesn’t mean that it’s a clear winner over the Realme X2 though, especially if you can find it at a discount, or if flash sales make the Poco X2 difficult to buy. If you’re undecided between these two models, you can expect a head-to-head comparison coming up on Gadgets 360 very soon.

Xiaomi spins off POCO as an independent company
Xiaomi said today it is spinning off POCO, a sub-smartphone brand it created in 2018, as a standalone company that will now run independently of the Chinese electronics giant and make its own market strategy.
The move comes months after a top POCO executive — Jai Mani, a former Googler — and some other founding and core members left the sub-brand. The company today insisted that POCO F1, the only smartphone to be launched under the POCO brand, remains a “successful” handset. The POCO F1, a $300 smartphone, was launched in 50 markets.
Manu Kumar Jain, VP of Xiaomi, said POCO had grown into its own identity in a short span of time. “POCO F1 is an extremely popular phone across user groups, and remains a top contender in its category even in 2020. We feel the time is right to let POCO operate on its own now, which is why we’re excited to announce that POCO will spin off as an independent brand,” he said in a statement.
A Xiaomi spokesperson confirmed to TechCrunch that POCO is now an independent company but did not share how it would be structured.
Xiaomi created POCO brand to launch high-end, premium smartphones that would compete directly with flagship smartphones of OnePlus and Samsung. In an interview with yours truly in 2018, Alvin Tse, the head of POCO, and Mani, said that they were working on a number of smartphones and were also thinking about other gadget categories.
At the time, the company had 300 people working on POCO, and they “shared resources” with the parent firm.
“The hope is that we can open up this new consumer need …. If we can offer them something compelling enough at a price point that they have never imagined before, suddenly a lot of people will show interest in availing the top technologies,” Tse said in that interview.
It is unclear, however, why Xiaomi never launched more smartphones under POCO brand — despite the claimed success.
In the years since, Xiaomi, which is known to produce low-end and mid-range smartphones, itself launched a number of high-end smartphones such as the K20 Pro. Indeed, earlier this week, Xiaomi announced it was planning to launch a number of premium smartphones in India, its most important market and where it is the top handset vendor.
“These launches will be across categories which we think will help ‘Mi’ maintain consumer interest in 2020. We also intend to bring the premium smartphones from the Mi line-up, which has recorded a substantial interest since we entered the market,” said Raghu Reddy, Head of Categories at Xiaomi India, in a statement.
That sounds like an explanation. As my colleague Rita pointed out last year, Chinese smartphone makers have launched sub-brands in recent years to launch handsets that deviate from their company’s brand image. Xiaomi needed POCO because its Mi and Redmi smartphone brands are known for their mid-range and low-tier smartphones. But when the company itself begins to launch premium smartphones — and gain traction — the sub-brand might not be the best marketing tool.
Besides, Xiaomi has bigger things to worry about.
In our recent Xiaomi’s earnings coverage, we noted that Chinese electronics giant was struggling to expand its internet services business as it attempts to cut reliance on its gadgets empire. Xiaomi posted Q3 revenue of 53.7 billion yuan, or $7.65 billion, up 3.3% from 51.95 billion yuan ($7.39 billion) revenue it reported in Q2 and 5.5% rise since Q3 2018.
On top of that, the smartphone business revenue of Xiaomi, which went public in 2018, stood at 32.3 billion yuan ($4.6 billion) in Q3 last year, down 7.8% year-over-year. The company, which shipped 32.1 million smartphone units during the period, blamed “downturn” in China’s smartphone market for the decline.

Redmi K20 Pro Prediction – Will the Phone be a Hit or Flop?

Smartphone launches are one of the many things that gets an average Indian excited (even if they aren't buying one!). Gone are the days when people would buy either Samsung or Nokia. With the influx of a gazillion new smartphone brands, the competition is fierce, and each company is working towards overthrowing the others. One of the latest fan favourites is Xiaomi. And why not? After all, Xiaomi offers high-quality phones with latest-in-trend features at a price that regular people can afford. Now everyone can have the latest technology and not burn their pockets. At least that's what they have always tried to market. The latest Xiaomi device to be launched is Redmi K20 Pro. Up until now, Redmi's track record has been excellent. Now, they are taking their phone technology to the next level. The launch of Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro is expected to outshine the sale of One Plus 7 and One Plus 7 Pro. They both have the same Snapdragon processor, and they both share a similar design. Besides, both of them continue to be loved by people. And Xiaomi is taking advantage of the situation by time and again taking shots at One Plus. The phone specifications sure look impressive. Redmi is (apparently) offering the same superior One Plus technology at a reasonable rate. This can be a win-win for Redmi K20 Pro. No wonder the phone is trending online! Plus, Redmi is also trying to up its game by announcing a new Avengers edition phone. With the much-awaited launch closely monitored by the gadget freaks, only time will tell whether Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro will be able to live up to the hype. In the meanwhile, we can have a look at what the astrologers can say about Redmi K20 Pro's future. How will it fare in the Indian market? Astrology Details used for the prediction: Launch Date- 17 July 2019 (Wednesday) Type of Kundali- Solar (Surya) Kundali Place of launch- Delhi Redmi K20 Pro Launch Prediction: First of, for any mobile company, the third house and the placement of Venus are especially important. The third house governs first-hand contacts of the organization with the general public, communications, specific information disseminated within the organization, management information system (MIS), sale departments, receipts and dispatch department, sale promotion campaigns, ephemeral publications and periodicals, in-house trading facilities, intellectual approach, etc. Everything one requires to run a perfect business. With this in mind, we have noticed that the lord of the 3rd house in Redmi K20 Pro's chart resides in the first house. This is an exceptionally positive situation for the company. Coming to the placement of Venus in the chart, we can see the planet situated in the twelfth house alongside Rahu. Now, because of this combination, the company must have incurred huge expenditure while manufacturing the product. This particular placement will impact the sales and the business prospects of Redmi K20 Pro a little. There may be some delay in yielding the profits they expected to get with the launch. Shani and Rahu are placed in the sixth house together. The first house is occupied by inferior Mars. Such a placement is clearly not good for the company. Chances are there may be some technical problem or other. And we know that Redmi cannot afford to have such issues, especially after all the hullabaloo around the phone and its competitor One Plus. It probably wasn't a wise move to do that in the first place. They should have waited till the launch. However, there is always a silver lining. The company's seventh house looks fabulous. The seventh house signifies the relations of the company through contracts and trade agreements, competitors, and their activities. It also denotes all the ventures connected with the business and trade. It depicts the professional acumen of the company in handling intricate and complex issues. The seventh house also assesses the growth and development of the firm. Moon is placed in the seventh house. This is an incredible scenario for Redmi K20 Pro. Moon in this condition brings honour and reputation. It will also help the company in maintaining cordial relations with its business associates. All in all, Redmi K20 Pro's business prospects look okay. Xiaomi must remain patient and calm. They will get the profits, but not immediately. Moreover, if the company manages to perfect its marketing strategy by playing the wait-and-watch game, things can get better. It is always a brilliant idea to observe what the launch brings with it and then proceed to distribute and promote the product further. Want to know more about your future? Talk To An Astrologer Now! Mobile Phone Cover-Up - Is Your Brain At Risk
The Newest rock thrown from the 200-billion-dollar-a-year cell phone company came from a study by neurosurgeon Vini G. Khurana qualified Mobile Phone-Brain Tumour: Public Health Advisory. His meta-analysis of current cell phone studies may not have a great deal of fresh information; however his quite alarming message was carried by sites across the world:"there is a growing body of statistically significant evidence for a relationship between the overall length of use of a mobile phone and the delayed occurrence of a brain tumor on the same side of the head as the'popular side' for mobile phone usage." He claimed a 2-4 fold increased risk following 10 years of regular usage.
The Mobile Phone Industry mobilized its behemoth defense program calling the investigation a pick perspective of current literature. This meant that his conclusions were not consistent with the study the industry was funding around the world named INTERPHONE. Truly, a casual look through Pub Med and you're going to see study after study refuting a link between cell phone use and brain tumors. The cell phone company has escalated in utilizing"scientists for hire" to quell public concern. They have taken a page from Big Pharma's playbook and have learned well from the topics of sooner health catastrophes like international PCB exposure at the hands of Monsanto, Bayer, GE, and Westinghouse. To get more detail click Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro Back Covers and Cases
David vs. Goliath
It Is always interesting to find a few people opt for an empire. The empire has enough money to receive votes against the government of countries around the world, fund studies that reach conclusions it appreciates, suppress the publishing of information it doesn't enjoy (professional blackmail), parade a legion of"experts" before any court each time a legal challenge is mounted, then make enough mystery about any potential problem in the minds of clients the outcome is that nothing is finished.
Such programs also hijack the overall public wellness System and use it like a defense. Basically, governments are on the take from company in addition to the economics of the suspicious industry are woven into a lot of other financial benefits. In the U.S. other cases of the need putting fluoride in water, using nerve gas materials as pesticides, and poisoning the water laced having perchlorate (appreciating the federal security card to prevent cleanup ). I bring up these examples because all three are proven to be neurotoxic, all significantly negatively affect the health of Americans today, and so are condoned and allowed by our government. There are always a few Davids throwing stones at those Goliaths, without much luck.
The Tiny voices raising issue are offset by a Hugely funded machine. Dr. Khurana's public relations work has got the Cell Phone industry on the defensive, demonstrating once again the courtroom of public opinion trumps all experts. To get more information click Blackbora's Collection

Why Warnings Are Falling on Deaf Ears
Brain Tumors don't grow immediately, additional exposure to radio frequency radiation may take 10 - 20 years before the entire area of the matter is understood. The cell phone market is just now entering the front end of this time period. Whenever there's an matter, in the time police take effective action to ensure mobile phones are a lot safer the injury to a complete production is going to be completed.
The possible problem for our Kids and young adults is shocking, because they have grown up linked to cellular phones. Any injury cell phones activate will most likely be worse in children, as their brains are still increasing.
Nobody Queries that cell phone radiation is entering the brain of the user. The argument is how difficult the radiation is.
There are two variables that are really fairly bemused about this whole issue.
1) If cellular phones may result in brain tumors they would want to, on a lesser amount of injury, cause many distinct disruptions in brain function that vary from cognitive malfunction to behavioral problems like ADHD, to potentially violent behavior.
2) Our government is doing To assess and affirm the security of our citizens, not day demonstrating or forcing the company to demonstrate what level of cell phone vulnerability are there no modifications in brain cells which relate to hazard.
The Mobile Phone business Will Need to have people lining up For brain cancer treatment before they acknowledge there is an expected matter. At the point they expect to have stalled long enough for phones which are safer. And they are likely to use lawyers to earn uncertainty that any microbes were because of cellular phones in the very first place - threatening several distinct stressors in modern society since the likely matter. This strategy will minimize liability, spread it out over a few decades, and likely make it vanish. The 1 thing that prevents the cell phone company from escaping unscathed is if sufficient clients desire safer phones today.
Smoking Guns Exist
As a wellness Professional, I look at fundamental science as the main predictor of whether a problem will exist or less the impact of using whatever. I called estrogen replacement therapy (horse urine infusion ) was not secure for 15 decades before the medical community finally counted every one the deaths. As I now predict using statin drugs to decrease cholesterol and bisphosphonate medicine for bones are significant health scams not only wasting hundreds of but severely undermining the health of those utilizing these pills as currently prescribed.
It Is not hard to make such predictions correctly when fundamental science Permits for no additional possible outcome. Vested interests never must Hear concerning the clear. They only wish to keep to Earn Money, Irrespective of the injury, until they are stopped. And if they possess the Decision manufacturers in authorities, it takes a lengthy time to stop them.

What’s now happening in Portland, Oregon, is a deployment of that strategy. And they are taking people off the streets for simply being protesters, no crime required. They aren’t arresting people, because these aren’t really police. This is military rendition. Or even more accurately: extrajudicial kidnapping. It’s happening repeatedly in an American city, and it’s barely bringing notice. Poco to Retain Its 'Everything You Need, Nothing You Don't' Philosophy in Bid to Take on Xiaomi

It was August 2018 when Xiaomi officially announced Poco as its new sub-brand to cater to the growing demands of young smartphone users. The Chinese brand unveiled the Poco F1 as its first — and only — model that disrupted the market for mid-range smartphones with the then top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and up to 8GB of RAM at a starting price of Rs. 20,999. Poco has been anticipated to repeat its market-changing splash with the launch of the Poco F2, and there are certainly hordes of fans clamouring for a successor. Late last week though, Xiaomi surprised the tech world by announcing that Poco would henceforth operate as an independent brand. But what does this mean exactly? Will we ever get a Poco F2? Read on to find out.
Poco India General Manager C Manmohan, in a conversation with Gadgets 360, underlined that the split between Poco India and Xiaomi wouldn’t impact the former brand’s existing philosophy that is to provide “everything you need, nothing you don’t” by strongly considering consumer feedback and ongoing market trends.
“I think, Mi and Redmi have their own standing in the market — in fact, a very strong standing in the market,” said Manmonhan. “But Poco has been able to differentiate itself and kind of lived its life for the last one and a half years as well.”
Manmohan, who has been associated with Xiaomi for nearly four years, is one of the early members of the Poco team. While he was so far working under Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain, the restructure has made him the standalone leader of the Poco India team who’s working closely with Xiaomi’s headquarters in Beijing. The team under the leadership of Manmohan is also planning to become an independent legal entity in the country to operate as a distinct company and is set to have a separate office.
“For the time being, you will see me in Xiaomi’s office, because we are kind of leveraging their resources for the time being,” the executive told Gadgets 360. “Now coming to Xiaomi and Poco relation — how would that work? Poco will get a product team of its own, a sales team of its own, and a marketing team of its own.”
Having said that, Poco will continue to utilise the established presence of Xiaomi. It will also continue to store user data at Xiaomi’s data centres and offer after-sales services through the latter’s channels.
“From time to time, given the scale which Xiaomi brings to the table, we will kind of utilise their support,” mentioned Manmohan. “Now what do I mean by support? Essentially, we will kind of ask them to kind of render services for Poco.”

One of the key features that made the Poco F1 a Xiaomi phone was the presence of a tweaked MIUI version that the brand called “MIUI for Poco”. Manmonhan told Gadgets 360 that MIUI for Poco will continue to be a part of Poco phones.
“Some of my Poco fans say that it is much more stock Android-ish,” he said. “So essentially, we are kind of, leveraging that and with our Poco fans feedback and the community feedback, we’ll work towards making it much more better and better. So, that’s the plan right now.”
The users who already own a Poco F1 aren’t likely to see any changes through the spin-off. Manmohan also stated that the company would continue to provide the same support to its existing Poco F1 consumers that they were promised.
Nevertheless, to bring some changes on board — along with establishing the legal entity and opening a new office — Manmohan says Poco will hear from its existing and new buyers. The company may also mimic the marketing strategy of Xiaomi and establish a community of Poco fans — just like how you can see Mi fans at any of Mi or Redmi launch.
“That’s the idea because in all honesty, if today, Poco has come to this stage, it’s because of the community,” Manmohan said while answering the question of how Poco is set to establish its fans. “The amount of support/ feedback we got from them is just enormous. That’s exactly why we are here today and we will continue to nurture it.”
At the initial stage, Poco is aiming to cater to the online space, though it is open to establishing offline channels over time. Manmohan revealed that the company wouldn’t sell its future devices through Xiaomi-exclusive Mi Home stores, though.
“Channel strategy will keep evolving. It’s not something which we can kind of take a call on today and tomorrow we can provide. So it depends on the kind of product we launch, and so on so forth. So we will take a call as and when we launch the products and depends on what our customers are asking,” he added.
Cannibalising sales of its siblings One of the challenges Xiaomi faces with spinning off Poco is for the brand to stand tall alongside its established Mi and Redmi brands. At the same time, Poco needs to bring something different to stand out from the crowd of Redmi smartphones that are currently dominating the lineup of Xiaomi devices.
Manmohan told Gadgets 360 that while Poco is yet to decide the price segments in which it will launch its new devices, it will continue its philosophy of launching value-for-money smartphones — just like the Poco F1. This clearly means that the company would cannibalise the sales of some Redmi phones.
Keeping that in mind, Xiaomi has already started directing its offline partners to treat Poco as a competitor. Similarly, Poco is preparing itself to be able to stand strong against the competition it would face from Xiaomi phones.
“Whether Xiaomi will be competition, I’m guessing, yes,” said Manmohan. “Of course, it’ll be a competition and so will Xiaomi also face the heat from Poco, right? But having said that, at the end of the day, if customers are winning, everything is hunky dory.”
In the past, we saw some competition between the Poco F1 and Redmi K20. But since there weren’t multiple phones under the Poco brand, Xiaomi was able to divert the audience.
This isn’t likely to be the case now. If we look at the rumours, Poco may have at least three smartphone models in the pipeline — one of which may just be an India variant of the Redmi K30 that was launched in China last month. These new models may come at price points that already have some Redmi or Mi phones.
“Will there be takers for our ability?” said Manmohan. “The answer is yes. We have seen it again and again with the Poco F1, and we think that we will be able to make a difference.”
Poco F2: When will we see it? Although the Poco F1 was an ace for the brand that entered the market just one year and four months ago, it’s the Poco F2 that has brought Poco back to action informally. Several users on social media have shown their interest towards the new flagship. Similarly, the rumour mill has suggested its existence for some time.
Manmohan didn’t clearly specify whether the next phone will be the Poco F2 or something completely different. Nonetheless, he did mention that it would essentially be the successor to the Poco F1, offering a similar value-for-money proposition with a top-end SoC and a large amount of RAM. He also revealed that it would debut as early as this quarter. He also didn’t completely refute the reports suggesting multiple Poco phones in the lineup, though he suggested that there would initially be one model to begin the new era.
When asked if Poco has plans to expand its range and bring some Poco devices to affordable segments, he said, “That’s also something which we are kind of evaluating. In due course of time, we will share that.”

Poco F1 set a benchmark in the market with top-end SoC and large-enough RAM
The latest spin-off is notably limited to India. This means that it doesn’t have any relation with the global operations of the brand Poco that is named Pocophone in various western markets such as the US and UK among others.
“One thing we are very clear about is that the smartphone market in India is something which is extremely important right now,” said Manmohan. “And from me being Poco India General Manager, I will continue to be focussed on that. Now Poco plans globally is something which we are kind of thinking through — it might take some more time for us to kind of validate that.”
Poco ‘needs a dedicated strategy’ However, market analysts are a bit sceptical about the spin off. Tarun Pathak, Associate Director of Counterpoint Research, told Gadgets 360 that the latest change was related more to leaving space for Mi as the Mi brand is aimed to develop premium smartphones with 5G chipsets.
“Poco will have challenges on its own and needs a dedicated strategy to challenge the competitors,” said Pathak.
Prabhu Ram, Head of Industry Intelligence, CyberMedia Research (CMR), emphasised that Xiaomi needed to bring a clear differentiation in terms of product feel and product positioning, backed by strong marketing to appeal to the target demographic.
“Xiaomi is better prepared than before with its differentiated brand strategy,” said Ram. “While it could focus on 5G premium smartphones via Mi, it could look at affordable premium smartphones through Poco.”
The analyst also mentioned that product differentiation and positioning is vital for Xiaomi to fend off competition from the likes of BBK Group (the parent company of OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, and Vivo brands) and Samsung.
According to data provided by Counterpoint Research, the Poco brand that had just the Poco F1 model to offer, nevertheless managed a 3.6 percent market share in 2018 in the Rs. 15,000-30,000 price segment that dropped to 1.1 percent in 2019.
Faisal Kawoosa, Founder and Chief Analyst at techARC, told Gadgets 360 that if it would be the same Poco that existed before, it wouldn’t bring a great story to the market, though it still has the chance to thrive.
“The only proposition of Poco was to give premium at a scaled down price point. This doesn’t work for premium users,” he said.
