Chapter One - What’s On Your Mind?

Summary - Uncle Jagged finds out about the Lila problem.

“Little Lady, what’s on your mind?” asked Jagged looking over to Marinette who was working on another design for his new album, “Huh” replied Marinette looking up from her sketchbook, anyone who knew Marinette could tell she was seconds away from breaking down, “You’re stress, I can tell from a mile away,” said Jagged moving closer to Marinette, “I’m not-” but Marinette was cut off by Jagged, “You can’t trick someone who has broken down from stress multiple time before because of concerts, What’s wrong?” Jagged asked again but in a soft tone unlike his usual energetic tone of voice.

“Everything I’ve been doing lately seems to be going wrong” sighed Marinette leaning back in her chair, “I just first Adrien now dating Kagmi which I know I shouldn’t be mad at them for because it’s not like he had any romantic feelings for but it still hurts and then Lila whose basically turned the entire class against me whenever I point out her lies, lies that could be disproven by a quick google search and then there’s hawkmoth and Chloe revealing all of the miraculous users, now me and Chat has to find different users for them so the original ones are in danger and it’s my job now since I’m the guard-shit” Marinette had fallen into her usually quick rambling she did with Tiki when she had been frustrated so didn’t catch herself until she revealed her superhero persona.

“Stop that, stop panicking right now, little lady, you are a teenager so it was understandable you would slip up especially with the stress of saving Paris and second can you get back to the lair turning you class against you” responded Jagged with a chuckle, “You don’t care I’m Ladybug” exclaimed Marinette, “Of course, I care considering you’re a teenager putting yourself in danger constantly but I doubt you wanted to do it in the first place and it anything to me it just makes you cooler, little lady” replied Jagged ruffling Marinette's hair as she gave him a nervous smile, “now before I talk to you more about that can of worms, can you tell me about this Lila chick”

“Lila Rossi, she first came to our class about a year ago and tried to get close to Adrien during studying and I will admit what I did was bad but when I spied on then I saw her steal Adrien’s father book and then later when she met him in the park she threw it in the trash and then started to claim she was a better superhero than me and had a fake miraculous and I know what I did was bad but I regret it fully now, I called her out in front of Adrien which caused her to get akumatised into Volpina and then she left” explained Marinette as she took a sip of coffee that she had brought when Penny had called her to meet Jagged, “Did Adrien get his book back?” asked Jagged, “Uh yeah, I brought it back to Mr Agreste” answered Marinette before she continued, “but then she came back spouting more lies, like her having tinnitus just so she could sit at the front with Adrien which wouldn’t matter but the entire class had decided before telling me and pushed me straight to the back of the class on my own”.

“Did you try to tell them that you were unhappy?” asked Penny who had come into the room to hear Marinette explaining who Lila Rossi, “I tried but they just came to the conclusions that I was jealous insted of being made that they had pushed me to the back, alone” answered Marinette recovering from the shock of Penny appearing out nowhere, “then she started to claimed she sprained her risk making other’s take her notes while she sat back and did no work and when I tried to prove it wasn’t true by throwing a paper napkin ball at her in lunch she caught it instantly but then put on the act that she was in pain and claimed that it could’ve gouged out Max’s eye, a paper napkin” Marinette continued getting more frustrated by the second.

“Isn’t that the kid who created an AI?” questioned Penny, “How-” started Marinette, “I tried to keep an eye on Paris Akuma problem when we were first coming to Paris just in case it gets too dangerous so when looking at the lady blog I saw Alya mention it when the robot got akumatised” Penny explained, “Oh, that makes sense” responded Marinette “well after that incident she followed me to the bathroom and when I told her to drop the act, she threatened to take all my friends away but insted of just that she decided to get me expelled as well by making it look like I stole test answers even though I’m known to get top scores and then framed me for stealing her necklace that was put in my lock which takes like a minute to break into, she also framed me for pushing me down the stairs”, after every example Marinette gave she could see that Jagged and Penny were getting angrier by the second.

“Did you’re school not check the security footage?” questioned Jagged, “At this point, I’m pretty sure they don’t remember that we have cameras around the school” sighed Marinette, “anyway I was expelled but only let back in after Lila lied about having a disease that makes her lie which doesn’t exist and even if it was true, the rest of the class weren’t informed so they think everything is true” “So you’re saying insted of giving you something like a suspension while they did an investigation, they just took the word of one girl and easy to fake evidence and expelled you” questioned Penny, “Yep” replied Marinette, “The school should have been punished in some way by the school board at least” concluded Penny.

“Sadly, I have a feeling they make sure that stuff like bullies or wrongful punishment hidden from the school board” sighed Marinette before she looked at the time on her phone, “I got to go”, “Oh right this is the time you’re parents asked you to be back by, right” replied Jagged, “Yeah,” answered Marinette as she finished packing up her stuff, “I’ll send you the final designs over the weekend”, “Ok but don’t run you self ragged,” said Jagged as she left.

“Right, so what do we do, Penny?” asked Jagged as Penny opened up her laptop, “First we find out what this girl has actually been lying about then we see if we can help Marinette’s parents get this info to the school board” answered Penny as she looked through the Lady blog, “I’m wondering if her parents actually know or have they fallen for that girl’s lies as well” wondered Jagged as he stroked Fang who had curled up by his legs, “Well, then we probably should enlighten them” replied Penny.

ML: Isolation Chapter 9: Window to the Soul

Adrien was on his way to school. He was looking at the news reports of Cat Noir’s latest appearance. There was a lot to it. After all, since Adrien talked to the receptionist first, there was a witness. He was watching the interview the reporters were doing with Manon and her mom, who Adrien was shocked to find out was news personality Nadja Chamack.

“Cat Noir was super nice!” Manon said. “He came right away, and he agreed to help me! Isn’t that sweet of him?”

The reporter interviewing her asked “And what did you ask him to do?”

Manon smiled. “I asked him to give someone a letter.”

“A letter?” The reporter asked. “To whom?”

Manon got a little sad. “My old babysitter.” She then got mad. “Everyone says she did something bad, but I don’t believe it! I know she couldn’t!”

The interview then turned over to Nadja, who was asked about her daughter’s actions. “Well, Manon has always been a little precocious” she said. “But I never thought she’d be able to do any of this.” She stared solemnly at the floor. “It’s because she can’t accept what happened with her old babysitter. Even now, she insists she’s innocent. I’ve tried telling her, but she can be so stubborn sometimes.” She sighed. “I guess she needs to grow up before she can come to terms with it all.”

Adrien felt scorned. Keep it together. Nobody knows yet. He then looked and saw Lila outside of the school. She was looking at something on her phone and tightening her fist Adrien was curious. He approached her slowly. He looked over her shoulder to see she was watching the same interview. “Lila?”

“Huh?” Lila said, turning around in surprise. “Oh Adrien, it was just you.”

“Sorry,” Adrien said. “I didn’t mean to scare you like that.”

Lila giggled. “It’s OK. I know you didn’t mean anything by it.”

“So, you’re watching that interview as well?” Adrien asked.

“Huh? Oh yeah” Lila said. She looked sad. “I’m glad Cat Noir is willing to help people, but that little girl’s old babysitter was Marinette.”

“I see,” Adrien said. “You feeling alright?”

Lila smiled. “Yeah. I guess… To be honest, it’s hard to see someone praise Marinette. After everything she’s done to me…” She sighed.

“Try thinking about it from her perspective,” Adrien said. “You have trouble believing Marinette is nice. For her, it’s the opposite. She has trouble imagining her babysitter is mean.”

Lila sighed. “I guess…”

“Don’t worry,” Adrien said. “I’m sure she’ll understand the truth eventually. Well, we should get to class.” Adrien started walking to class.

Lila got a menacing smile on her face. “Perhaps sooner than you think.”

During break, Alya went down to Nino and Adrien’s desk. “Can you believe it?!” she said.

“What is it?” Nino asked.

“Cat Noir showed up again!” Alya reminded him.

“Uh, yeah. We’ve seen it. It’s all over the news” Nino said. “Are you going to get this worked up every time Cat Noir does something?”

Alya pouted. “You idiot! Don’t you even know how Cat Noir found Manon?”

“Ummmm, no?” Nino answered.

Alya slammed her hands on the desk. “It was through the Noir Notes website!”

Nino was surprised. “Woah, seriously?!”

“Uh, YEAH!” Alya said. “Took you long enough.”

Nino looked disappointed. “Sorry,” he said. Adrien giggled.

“You know what this means?” Alya asked. “Cat Noir has seen Noir Notes! AND he takes responses from it!”

“I’m happy for you Alya,” Adrien said.

“I wonder what I can say to get him to meet me!” Alya said.

“Hold on. You might be jumping the gun on that” Nino said. Alya looked confused. “Cat Noir is a hero. He only comes out to help those in need.”

“He’s right Alya” Adrien chimed in. “I mean, I’ve been checking Noir Notes routinely, and that seemed to be the first one he responded to.” Alya got disappointed. Adrien smiled. “Still, I’m sure if you have the right request, he might come and talk with you.”

Alya siled. “You’re right. Sometimes I get a little too overzealous on these kinds of things. I’m sure I’ll meet Cat Noir someday!”

“That’s the spirit!” Adrien said. Although meeting with Alya as Cat Noir could prove to be beneficial. It just needs to be arranged as a coincidence. Luckily, Alya’s very crafty. I might not need to arrange much on my end.

After school, Adrien had fencing. He enjoyed practicing with other people. Seeing new techniques really broadens his horizons in the world of fencing. While everyone was doing the same routines, everyone was doing them just slightly differently. Adrien was feeding off that energy.

Of course, no one was more energetic than Kagami. Adrien could watch her all day. Of course, that wouldn't be in the spirit of their agreement. So Adrien kept on practicing vigorously as well, hoping to open everyone else’s eyes.

After practice was over and everyone had changed, Kagami approached Adrien. “Oh, hey Kagmi. You were really at top form today.”

Kagami glared at him. “I wish the same could be said to you.”

“Excuse me?” Adrien said.

“Don’t get me wrong!” Kagami protested. “You were excellent.” She tightened her fist. “But it didn’t have the same energy as when we fought.”

“Huh” Adrien said.

“I thought you were taking things seriously,” Kagami said.

“I am,” Adrien said.

Kagami scowled. “Then why were you doing marginally worse?!” Adrien was shocked. “I’m more worried now that if your skill decreases, you won’t even stand a chance of not being manipulated by Chloe, let alone Lila.”

Adrien laughed. “You don’t have to worry. At least, about Chloe. We’ve been friends for a lifetime. I know all of Chloe’s tricks, so they don’t affect me.”

“Friends?” Kagami said.

“Yeah. In fact, she and her friend Sabrina are coming over tonight” Adrien clarified. “I’m not sure how I’ve unimproved, but I hope to work on it for the next class. Well, seeya.” Adrien walked off. Kagmi grinned.

“Wow!” Sabrina said, looking around Adrien’s room.”This place has everything!” Adrien smiled, though it felt hollow.

Chloe approached him. “I know that look,” she said. “What’s wrong?”

Adrien rubbed the back of his head. “Well…” He sighed. “I get a little sad when someone compliments my room.”

“Oh” Sabirna said, turning around. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be,” Adrien said. “It IS a nice room and all. It’s just…” he sighed again. “A lot of this stuff was here to keep me in here, you know?” Sabrina looked at him curiously. “All I ever wanted was to get out and see the world for what it really is.”

“Oh. I see” Sabrina said.

Adrien sensed her sadness. “But hey, that doesn't mean I don’t enjoy the stuff in here. For instance…” He walked over to the foosball table. “I’ve gotten really good at foosball.”

“HAH!” said Chloe. “Don’t forget who taught you everything you knew.”

“Oh you’re a teacher now?” Adrien said.

“Why don’t we settle this then?” Chloe said.

“Wha-what’s going on?” Sabrina said.

“It’s nothing, Sabrina,” Chloe said.

“Chloe and I just have a long standing foosball rivalry” Adrien said.

“No matter how many games we play, we appear to be evenly matched” Chloe said.

“I see,” Sabrina said. “Well, I’d sure love to see two masters play.”

“So, what do ya say?” Adrien asked.

“Bring it on!” Chloe responded. They got on either side of the table, and began playing. Sabrina watched from the goal Adrien was trying to get into, no doubt to see whenever Chloe got a goal. However, as they said, they were evenly matched.

Eventually though, Adrien won the match. “Told ya” Adrien said.

“Grrrrrrr” Chloe growled. “Next time, I’ll win for sure!”

Sabrina laughed. They both looked at her. “I’m sorry. It’s just, it’s been a while since I’ve seen Chloe so worked up. I kind of miss that part of her.”

Chloe blushed slightly. She sighed and said “Good game either way, right?” Reaching out her hand. Adrien shook it. They spent the rest of the evening hanging out in Adrien’s room, until Sabrina’s dad called to pick her up.

After she left, Chloe looked at Adrien and said “I think I should get going too.”

“Hey” Adrien said. “Sabrina’s really nice.”

Chloe smiled. “Yeah.”

“Maybe you should be more open with her,” Adrien said.

Chloe was caught off guard, but quickly went back on it. “Y-You don’t know what you’re talking about.” Adrien looked sad. “Look” Chloe sighed. “It’s not that I don’t care. I just… Things are more complicated than they appear sometimes. You’re new to society and such. I just don’t want to see you getting hurt.”

Adrien was curious. “Where did that come from?” Chloe glared at Adrien. Adrien nervously smiled. “Sorry.”

Chloe let go of her anger. She looked off to the side. “I want to be more earnest with Sabrina, but...”

So I was right. Whatever Lila has on Chloe is related to Sabrina. I better not push it for now. “I understand Chloe. You go at your own pace.”

Chloe smiled. “Thanks Adrien.” She left.

Adrien went to his computer and messaged Marinette. “Hey, so since Nathalie knows your secret, how long before we can let someone else in?”

“You want to let someone else in on all of this?”

“Well, if we can trust them. More allies is always better.”

“I guess…”

“I’m not going to do anything you don’t want to do.”

“...Well, I’m not ready to let anyone in just yet.”

“That’s OK. Hey, did you get the letter?”

“Yeah.”

“And?”

“I don’t wanna talk about it.”

Adrien found that weird. “Why?”

“It’s personal.”

“OK. So, what do you want to talk about?”

“Well, that shoot is coming up. To be honest, I’ve always wanted to watch one of your shoots.”

Adrien blushed. “Oh? So, you wanna come out for it?”

“NO! Sorry. No. But I was wondering if you could tell me about it when we meet up Saturday. Your shoot’s the day before, right?”

Adrien smiled. “Yup. Although, to be honest, I’m not sure how I would describe a shoot. However, I do have an idea that could work. Just leave it to me.”

“OK.”

“Well, good night.”

“Good night.”

The next day at school, as Chloe was walking the halls, she got approached by Kagami. “Hey” Kagami said.

Chloe was surprised. “What do you want?”

Kagami leaned in and whispered “I know about what’s going on. I want to help.”

Chloe felt frightened, confused, and angry. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Huh? You know. With Lila” Kagami spoke back.

“Look, just because you two don’t get along, there’s no point in dragging me into it!” Chloe protested.

Kagami stared into Chloe’s eyes. “You really don’t know, do you?”

“As far as I’m concerned, you keep your petty squabbles to yourself!” Chloe said. “There are bigger things I need to worry about!”

Kagami smiled. “I see. Thank you. This has been eye opening. Alright, I'll leave you alone.”

“Huh?” Chloe said.

“But know this: Salvation is closer to you than you think,” Kagami said. She walked off.

Chloe was confused. “What?”

After school, Adrien got a text from Kagami asking to meet. Adrien met up with her in secret. “So, what’s this about?”

“Who’s your source?” Kagami said.

“Pardon?” Adrien said.

“Who told you Lila was bad?” Kagami asked “I asked Chloe if it was her today.” Adrien tensed up. “It wasn’t her. So who is it?”

“Why do you need to know?” Adrien asked. “Aren’t we after the same thing?”

“Yeah, but how long do you think that will be enough for?” Kagami scowled back at him. “I’m fine with taking down Lila, but what about after?” Adrien got curious. “Are we friends, or is this a business deal to you, Mr. Hotshot Model?”

Adrien glared at her. “I have no intention of backstabbing you.”

“Then let me in!” Kagami said.

“Unfortunately, that’s not up to my discretion” Adrien sniped back.

Kagami stared at his eyes now. “Oh I see. That explains everything.” Adrien was confused. “Alright. I’ll back off for now.”

“Wait!” Adrien called out. “What did you figure out?”

Kagami chuckled. “You’re protecting someone. You have a reason for getting this defensive.”

“How could you tell?” Adrien asked.

“Simple,” Kagami said. “You had the same look in your eyes that Chloe had when I confronted her. She’s protecting someone, and since you two grew up in such close quarters, I assume you two have picked up similar traits.”

Adrien smiled. “I see.”

“This also explains practice yesterday,” Kagami said. Adrien was confused further. Kagami smiled. “The first day, I had challenged your honor. That day, you had something to fight for, as you do now. But at practice yesterday, well, you were just practicing. You do better when you have something to fight for.”

“Huh” Adrien said. Kagami’s insight was really helpful here. Adrien smiled. “Thank you, Kagami.”

Kagami got embarrassed. “You’re-you’re welcome.” They stood there. Kagami then awkwardly left and said “Well, seeya!”

“Seeya later then” Adrien said, cheerfully. He walked back to the front of the school, as he was expecting his bodyguard to show up any minute now.

“Adrien!” Lila called out. Adrien turned around and waved. Lila rushed to him.

“Hey Lila. What’s up?” Adrien asked.

“I just wanna say, I thought about what you said,” Lila told him. “And you’re right. She’ll learn the truth eventually.”

It was said innocently enough, but Adrien looked into her eyes, like Kagami inadvertently taught him. He could sense the malice in them. Just what is she planning?

Lila looked back at Adrien. “Oh? Staring at my eyes? You know, I could get the wrong idea about that, you know?”

“What?” Adrien said. “Oh, sorry.”

“It’s OK,” Lila said. “I don’t mind.”

Adrien’s bodyguard pulled up. “Well, there’s my ride. I should get going. Seeya!”

“Bye!” Lila said.

Adrien got in the car, and it pulled off. Adrien thought to himself. Of course. Lila couldn’t have one what she did if she couldn’t catch people off-guard. This might be a bigger project than I had anticipated. He thought about what Nathalie said. I could use some parental guidance.

Adrigami Week Day 7- Freedom (Chapter Seven)

Kagami’s mind was foggy. She didn’t understand anything around her. There was this thick burning feeling in her nose, and a odd pressure on her shoulder. She blinked her eyes a few time, slowly, as she regained her vision and her thoughts. She lifted her heavy head, taking in her surroundings, she was on a rooftop and the city was in chaos. Thick clouds of dark grey puffs of clouds smothered the sky as she realised the sensation in her nose was the smell of smoke. The pressure on her shoulder increased as something red entered her field of vision. A girl clad in red latex crouched before her, she looked rather familiar but Kagami just couldn’t place it.

“Are you okay?” The women asked.

“I.. I don’t know.” She mumbled, furrowing her brows as she thought hard, was she okay? She raised one of her hands as she inspected her body, physically she looked fine but mentally she wasn’t so sure.

“It’s the effects of being akumatised, everything will come back in time.” A male voice spoke, something about that voice shook Kagami to her core. She snapped her eyes up once again. Standing behind the crimson girl was a blonde male, sporting a black leather suit.

As if by a simple flick of a switch, everything fell back into place. Kagami gasped as memories filled her mind one at a time, like a movie. Meeting Adrien, falling for him, finding out he was Chatnoir, being Chatnoir, bonding with him, their argument, her Mother. She felt back on to her back side, overwhelmed.

“I let myself be akumaised” she whispered in pure horror, ignoring Ladybug and Adrien’s presence.

“It’s not your fault.” Ladybug whispered, reaching for her hand and giving it a comforting squeeze. Kagami smiled tightly at the heroine of Paris, if only she knew.

Chatnoir, Adrien, cleared his throat awkwardly, gaining both the black haired girl’s attention.

“Sorry, M’lady but we’re almost out of power.” He reminded his partner, pointing at his beeping ring in emphasis. “Plus, we need to get this girl home before then.”

Kagami locked eyes with Adrien, her emotions heavy. She remembered what she had to do to keep him safe. She bit her lip, she was meant to take Adrien’s Miraculous, what was she going to do now?

“You’re right Chat.” Ladybug spoke as she stood up for her kneeling position. “Come on, Ill take you home.” She smiled. Kagami held her hand as she got pulled from her feet, her mind a mile away. She needed to take action now before it was too late.

“I can take her home, M’lady.” Chatnoir offered, Kagami’s heart might have swooned at the offer and simultaneously broke at the nickname, if she wasn’t to conflicted about other things.

Ladybug turned to Chatnoir, most likely to discussed who had more time to help Kagami home, but the Japanese girl didn’t give her a chance. She quickly reached out without much thought and snatched one earring straight out of her hear.

The red and black clad girl hissed in pain as she flinched back in shock. Straight away the girl struggled to stay transformed, her body glowing with a bright pink light as it slowly detransformed her. Ladybug quickly covered her face with her hands, trying to hide her true identity.

Kagami knew now was her chance, take the other earring. Her brown eyes flicked towards Adrien, he was frozen in pure shock. Frowning, she quickly reached out to grab the other half to the Miraculous. Chatnoir seemed to snap out of his shock and leaped into action. Kagami saw him crouched, ready to spring to his partners rescue so she quickly ripped out the last stud. Chatnoir pounced, running at Kagami at full speed, she needed a distraction. Without much thought she kicked Ladybug making the poor girl stumble backwards onto the rooftop edge. She lost her balance and started to fall backwards, Chatnoir quickly averted his concentration onto Ladybug. He grabbed both her hands and pulled her back into the roof and into his chest. Kagami stood frozen in shock, at both her actions and the fact that she could clearly see Marinette Dupin-Cheng standing in Chatnoir’s arms.

Her heart broke as she realised the two people, holding dearly onto eachother, loved one another without realising it. She had no chance with Adrien now that he knew Ladybugs identity, expecially because of what she was about to do.

She forced the earrings through her closed over ear piercing holds, she bite her lip in pain at her roughness. A small light appeared before her eye, a tiny creature like Plagg appeared. The Kwami, she thinks they were called, was red and resembled something akin to a Ladybug. One thing Kagami noticed right off the bat was that sad and scared expression on its small face. Her heart ripped into two.

“What are the words to activate your powers.” Kagami asked, her voice coming out harsher than she wanted. She still didn’t want to do this, become a villian, but she had no choice. For Adrien, it was an obligation she would burden.

“Tikki, Spot on.” The Kwami, Tikki, whispered in defeat.

“Why are you doing this Kagami?” Chatnoir yelled out, Marinette still firmly pressed to his chest. Tears of fright stained her pink cheeks as she still quivered a tad from shock. Adrien held her tighter as he rubbed his hands up and down her arms. Kagami glared at the contact before breathing steadily, she can’t let Her emotions take over her again.

“Tikki, Spots on!” She called out, her body engulfed in a bright pink light. She felt the transformation take over her, she was surprised to note that it felt different from Chatnoir’s. She looked at the two teens across from her, frozen in time. Both of their eyes were wide in shock as they reached out towards her. The transformation finished, the world returning to its normal speed, leaving Kagami standing fully transformed. Her Costume was similar to that of Ladybugs normal costume, but her was yellow and black.

“Kagami, Stop this!” Chatnoir screamed, slowly letting go of Marinettes side as he approached her. “You almost killed Marinette!” He yelled, his eyes burning with fury. Marinette curled in on herself at the mention of her name, her identity revel and defeat was heart wrenching for her.

“I’m sorry, Adrien.” She firmly said as she drew her yo-yo from her pocket. Marinette gasp of shock could be heard from Chatnoir’s identity reveal. “I didn’t want to hurt anyone.” She mumbled sadly, her Mothers threat rang through her head. She needed to protect Adrien! “Surrender your Miraculous, I don’t want to hurt you.”

Adrien’s froze for a second, mask slightly furrowed in thought.

“Why do you need the Miraculouli?” Marinette screamed out, her shocked state gone and a fierce look on her face. Kagami wonders why she thought Marinette couldn’t be Ladybug, looking out her now, she felt a small sense of fear. The Japanese girl bit her lip, she couldn’t revel to much but the way Adrien was looking at her, his face full of sorrow, she had to try to explain.

“They’re for Hawkmoth.”

A sharp intake of breath was heard from both the superhero’s, followed by a deafening silence.

“You,” Marinette mumbled, clearing her throat. “You work for Hawkmoth?”

Kagami tried to explain but suddenly Chatnoir leaped at her, tackling her to the ground. Kagami hit the ground with a head thud, Adrien instantly went to pin her down.

“Was it all an act?” He screamed, he was furious. “Did you actually pretend to care about me all for my Miraculous?”

“No-l”

“I actually believed you!” He gritted out, he sighed angrily before reaching for the earrings she possessed. Gasping, Kagmi kicked him off of her with a new found strength. Her blood started to boil at his accusations, she swung her Yo-Yo on a nearby billboard pole, ready to make her escape, One Miraculous was better than none. She couldn’t fight Adrien, at least not today.

“For the record, I’m doing this because I Love you Adrien.” She swung off the building, flipping her body in the air as she tried to escape. She thought she was clear as she landed on a far off building, close to the Agreste manor. She decided that she couldn’t go through with the plan, she could betray Adrien, even to help him. She needed to talk to Mr. Agreste, tell him that Chatnoir was his son and about her Mother’s plans of betrayal and exposure. Perhaps then she could face Adrien again when he was safe.

She spotted Adrien’s mansion on the horizon, she swung her Yo-Yo ready to hook it on to something when she felt a violent force hit her from her right. Her body was thrown to the ground, a heavy pressure onto of her. She heavily gasped in large amounts of air, the knock having winded her. A black figure rose from above her, it was Adrien.

“Get off me.” Kagami hissed as she stuggled to free herself. She tied to kick him off again but to no advail, he was ready for her this time.

“No, you can’t drop a fucking bomb like that and then leave!” He shouted at her. “Please, this isn’t like you. Just tell me what’s going on? What does Hawkmoth have on you?” He pleaded, his eyes full of hope. Kagami felt something in her break, a small crack in her stone cold soul amongst the many other cracks only Adrien could leave.

“I-“ her voice broke off, she couldn’t tell him. His heart would break, she knew his relationship was rocky with his Father already, this would break it. Villian or not, he was the only family the model had left, Kagami couldn’t take that away, along with the chance of Mrs. Agreste being resurrected.

Her eyes harden as she violently tried to fight him off. She kicked her legs, bucked her body and swung her arms as she screamed to be freed.

“Hey, hey, hey.” Adrien whispered, slightly panicked, he adjusted his weight on the smaller girl, pinning her legs so she couldn’t move them. She heard his ring beep loudly in warning, he was going to detransform soon.

“No, stop!” Kagami cried out, her voice full or sorrow and more vulnerable then she intended. Adrien grasped her failing arms, locking his hands with her, fingers intertwined.

“Please, I can’t help you unless you talk to me.” He whispered once again. A tear slipped out of Kagami’s masked, Browns eyes. She tried to turned her face away from Adrien but he caught her chin with one clawed finger.

“Please?” He begged.

Kagami’s body went slack as she gave up.

“My Mother works for Hawkmoth.” She whispered, she felt disgusted in her family name. Adrien loosened his grip, realising the girl wasn’t going to struggle anymore.

“I’m sorry.”

“I’m sorry too.” She whispered, tears gathered in her eyes once again. How was she going to tell him about his Father?

“It’s okay, I get it, you had no choice. My Father is just as controlling.” He tried to softly smile in reassurance. He carefully detangled himself from the yellow clad girl, sitting next to her crossed legged instead.

“No, you don’t understand.” She bit her lip, breathing in and out through her nose. “Listen, I found out who Hawkmoth is..”

Adrien’s drew in a sharp breath, eyes blown wide.

“But, before I tell you.. please, his heart was in the right place.”

Adrien’s face looked absolutely murderous at that. He shot right up, towering over Kagami as he started to yell.

“He is a terrorist! No one as evil as that is a good person!”

Kagami, tried to stay calm. She wouldn’t be able to explain this to him if she lost her temper, this information was delicate and had to be explain correctly.

“Do you know why Hawkmoth wants the Miraculi?” She asked, gesturing to his clenched first and her own ears.

“To become more powerful!”

“No.”

“What?”

“When the powers of both Miraculi are activated by one wielder, that person gets a wish. Anything in the entire universe, no limits.” She explained. Adrien’s face held a mixed expression of shock and pure horror.

“See! Imagine what would happen if he got his hands on them? He would control Paris, The whole world even!”

“Adrien-“

“No!” He cut her off, “I’m sorry, I realise Hawkmoth is probably a family member or someone your family trusts but I can’t let them do this.”

“Adrien, It’s not-“ she was starting to get frustrated.

“They’re evil, no matter what you try to say, there is no excuse for what he has done!”

“Hawkmoth is your Father!” She blurted out, accidentally yelling.

Adrien completely froze, his face filled was too many emotions for Kagami to read.

“Adrien?” He didn’t respond. She pushed herself onto her feet and slowly walked over to the leather clad boy.

“Adrien?” She tried again. She slowly lifted a yellow cover hand, resting it on his masked face. He flinched at her touch, backing away from her. She withdrew her hands back in shock at his sudden movement.

“You’re lying.” He hissed out, his voice sounding darker than usual.

“What?” She stuttered out, feeling a little intimidated by the hero in front of her. She never had a plan on what to do it he didn’t believe her.

“You’re lying to protect the real Hawkmoth.”

“Adrien, Listen Is it really that hard to believe? After everything you told me about your Father and how he treats you?”

His face screwed up in pain for a second before hardening again.

“Yeah, he isn’t perfect but he isn’t evil!” He shouted, desperately trying to prove his point.

“Like I said, Hawkmoth has a good heart.” Adrien just glared more.

She took a deep breath.

“Adrien, he’s trying to bring back your Mother.” She whispered, watching his reaction. The pain she felt as she watch the emotions play over his features was worse then the pain her Mothers cane had caused her.

“M-mum?” He sobbed. Kagami bite her lip as she nodded. A final being rung out in the still air between them. A bright green light blinded Kagami for a second before Adrien, stood before her as himself. A black blur zipped right up into her face, a very angry cat glared at her.

“Drop the transformation.” He hissed. Kagami gulped, yeah she was a lot bigger than him but she knew he was powerful.

“I-I don’t know how.”

“Tikki, Spots off.” He hissed out again, his glare never faltering. Kagami quickly mumbled the words, a golden light surrounding her as the transformation dropped. A red bug, Tikki, dropped out of the air as she fainted. Plagg was quick to catch her but even he struggled. Kagami opened her palms, trying to assist the Kwami’s. Plagg bared his tiny fangs at her as he continued to hiss, she quickly removed her hands. The Cat eventually landed safely as he cuddle the other Kwami.

“What’s wrong with her?”

“You!” Plagg screamed, tears welling in his eyes. “You didn’t let her recharge before transforming.”

“Will she be okay?” Kagami whispered, tears welling up in her eyes. Tikki weakly opened her eyes, glancing at Kagami, she gave her a soft smile.

“I’ll be fine Kagami. I just need to rest, I don’t blame you. This is your Mothers fault.” The tiny red bug paused as she coughed violently. “How are you feeling?” Tikki whispered, giving her a pointed look. Kagami face screwed up as she felt the stinging sensation still on her back, how did Tikki know?

“I’ve been inside your head.” The Kwami laughed weakly.

“What’s is she talking about? Why is she worrying about you?” Plagg glared as he looked Kagami up and down,

“I-“

“Is it true?” Adrien suddenly butted in, kneeling beside the Kwami. “What Kagmi said about my Father is it true?” Tikki weakly nodded.

“Tomoe works for Hawkmoth, your Father. Kagami only found all this out a few hours ago.” Adrien’s face fell.

“I don’t know what to do. He’s my Father, he’s all I have left. If he goes to prison, I’ll-“

Kagami placed her hand on his shoulder in comfort.

“But he’s still Hawkmoth.” Plagg interjected. “You were gifted the Miraculous to stop him, it’s your duty.”

“I know, Plagg.” Adrien sadly sighed.

“But he can bring Adrien’s Mother back.” Kagami reminded the small group. Plagg rolled his eyes, Kagami had a feeling that he definitely didn’t like her.

“Not without horrific consequences.”

“Consequences?” Adrien asked.

“The universe must always stay in balance, perfect harmony of good and evil, light and darkness, creation and destruction.” Tikki whispered, stroking Plaggs arm as she utter the last two. “Where there is life, there must always be death.” The two teenagers looked at eachother in confusion.

“If Gabriel brings back someone he loves he’ll also lose someone he loves as well.” Plagg deadpanned while pointing to Adrien. A heavy silence filled the air as that new information sunk in.

“What are we going to do?” Kagami whispered.

“We?” Plagg snorted, “you’ve already done enough!”

“Plagg!” Tikki and Adrien snapped, the small cat jumped slightly, the fur on the back of his neck raising in surprise.

“Kagami is a part of this two, she’s in Hawkmo- I mean father’s inner circle now, perhaps she could go undercov-“

“No!” Tikki snapped, “Its too dangerous.”

“I know but Kagmi can handle herself-“

“No! I’m not risking one of my bugs lives, sending her back to that place is off the table.” Tikki, yelled trying to sit up. She groaned in pain, Plagg was right by her side, soothing her as he helped her lay back down.

“She isn’t one of your Bugs, Sugarcube.” Plagg gently whispered, “she forced the transformation, she’s no better than Hawkmoth with the way he uses Nooroo.”

Tikki used her little strength to slap him. The slap itself wasn’t very hard but the meaning behind it showed strength.

“You know what it’s like when we transform with our wielders, I’ve been inside Kagami Tsuguri’s mind, I have seen and relived the horror of her upbringing. I have felt the pain inflicted on her body by the women who birthed her. I feel everything she has ever felt, so don’t you dare for a second tell me she ain’t one of my Bugs. She is under my protection now and not you nor your kitten will send her back to that hell hole.”

Plaggs eyes widen, his jaw locked shut. He didn’t dare try challenge Tikki, the goddess of creation, he simply agreed. He glanced at Kagmi who was hiding her face in shame, he wondered what this girl had gone through.

“What is she talking about?” Adrien quietly asked, his eyes filled with concern. Kagami was going to ignore him, pretend she didn’t know anything, but the way he was staring at her right now. She felt like she could trust him with her very soul.

She quietly turned around and slipped her Yukata of her shoulders, revealing her beaten and bruised back. The cuts were still fresh, some of them slightly reopened.

She heard a collection of gasped behind her, tears watered up in her eyes.

“Don’t feel ashamed.” Tikki spoke. “The only person who should feel ashamed is the monster that gave them to you.”

Kagami bite her lip to stop herself from verbally reply, she would have cried if she did, instead she opted to just nod. She slipped the garment back on and tightened it again, taking her time to avoid talking about it. Once she was finally done she turned back around,nervous to face Adrien, as soon as she was facing them again, she was tackled. A head for of soft blonde hair tickled her nose as Adrien tightly wrapped his arms around Kagami.

“I’m sorry, I won’t make you go back there, I won’t let you!” He cried, his warm tears soaking her neck as he buried his face. Kagami felt her tears fall as well as she hugged him tightly back. What were they going to do? Both there Parents were monster and both of them had nowhere to go.

“What are we going to do?” Kagami voiced her concerns. “With both of our parents terriosing Paris, it isn’t safe for us to go home, yet we have nowhere else to go.”

Adrien stiffened up, She was right.

“I-I don’t know.”

“My Mother also knows both you and your Fathers identities. She is threatening to expose them to the public if she doesn’t get her wish.”

Adrien tensed up again before squeezing her harder, being mindful of her back.

“I don’t care, she can tell all of Paris. I’m not going to let her or My father hurt anyone ever again.” He pulled away from her and held both of her hands, he gave them a gentle squeeze as he smiled.

“What if Paris turn on you?”

“I didn’t become a hero for the praise and fame. I’m already a model. I just wanted to help people.” Kagami smiled, this is why she loved him.

“I love you.” She whispered. Adrien’s eyes widened. “You don’t have to say it back, but stop lying to me. I know you feel something for me! but I’m willing to wait. I know you said you love Ladybug and you just found out who she is under the mask, I know that this is all confusing for you, so take your time- mhmf”

Kagami’s words got trapped in her mouth as Adrien kissed her. His soft lips, pressed firmly against hers as he expressed all his feelings for her through that one action. after a few seconds the pair parted, slightly out of breath.

“I love you too, Kagami.” He whispered, “we’re going to stop Hawkmoth, all four of us.” He annouced as he looked at Tikki and Plagg who nodded in agreement.

“Even if we have nowhere to go, we’ll be together. This is just the Beginging of our, and all of Paris’, freedom.”

This is it! The moment we’ve all been waiting for! The Heroes Day special Season 2 finale! We’ve seen the posters, we’ve had our guesses and we’ve seen the villains and now, THE TIME HAS COME! Our lucky ladybug and catastrophic catboy gather up their friends, the furtive fox, shielding snapper and bossy queen bee in the ultimate showdown against the best of the worst from the malicious moth mans army. FOR PARIS! (trumpet plays the “Charge” music).

Heroes Day

*Part 1:Cataylst-In Paris, they have this holiday called “Heroes Day” (which btw is a real holiday mostly celebrated in the Philippines to honor a national hero, but in this case, it’s for the show) where all of Paris, France honors the five superheroes by doing a good deed to the community. Before I get to that, one of the most important things about this ep was the return of lying Lila Rossi.............FINALLY! It’s about f**king time! I was wondering where the f**k she was! Is-is this, is this how they characterize her in the show!? By making her show up near the end of each season!? Or like, what!? Any way, turns out, she’s been in hiding from everyone locked away in her room in Paris like a homebody and her lies just keep getting more and more outrageous! Apparently, everyone is still convinced at all her bulls**t and that she’s “in Prince Ali’s country helping out with Heroes Day” and only Marinette and Adrien aren’t buying it. I thought that perhaps word got out that she’s a compulsive liar after Ladybug outed her for her lies in “Volpina”, but nooooooooooooooo, that wasn’t the case and she didn’t learn jack s**t! She’s even convinced her own mother that Adrien is her bae and that the whole school was “shut down due to all the akumatizations” (Oh, she’s good!). As we all know, Marinettes pet peeve are liars, but she goes hypocritical and says she has a huge bakery tasting for everyone to one up their grand gestures (Adrien has it easy what with being rich and Cat Noir). With Gabriel, he’d been planning this for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time as he knows how much Lila despises Ladybug for ruining her chances with Adrien and exposing her lies in front of him and triggers her anger by praising Ladybug and insulting Volpina and then BOOM! Our faux fox is back at it again! (willingly!) She’s a pawn in Hawk Moths plan to make everyone in Paris have negative feelings by creating an illusion of Ladybug killing Cat Noir! Don! Don! Don! (if that’s how the cataclysm works on a person, then stay.the.f**k.back!). And then, he has his assistant, Natalie, willingly be akumatized as Cataylst! (knew it). She’s that red/black motorcycle looking villainess we saw in the Season 2 villains line up pic. She’s basically a human charger as her only power is to give Hawk Scarlet Moth, unlimited power to akumatize a bunch of people for his army. With Heroes Day turned to Villains Day, Ladybug and Cat Noir recruit Rena Rouge, Carapace (who found out about each other’s alter egos (well, Nino actually)) and Queen Bee (using a Bat Bee signal) for the epic battle! You guys.......WE HAVE OUR OFFICIAL QUANTIC KIDS! (squee!). You guys remember the Quantic Kids! right!? That superhero team of what-could’ve-been for Miraculous Ladybug? With Mercury, Melody and Kid Mime and that-that Sparrow guy. Well,...........THIS IS THEM! I’m calling them The Quantic Kids from here on out, this is our Quantic Kids! Be happy!

*Part 2:Mayura-Starting from where we left off, The Quantic Kids are up against Scarlet Moth (making his first debut appearance (like Gabe did in “Queen’s Battle”) and yet, that didn’t cross any of the heroes minds with the similarities) with Cataylst in charge and Paris “seeing red” with the akumatized villain army. The fight scenes were cool as the heroes were careful not to use their “one hit” powers and only do physical combat and weaponry use before using it as a last resort. Unfortunately, it didn’t help as Ladybugs lucky charm was no use with Scarlet Moth gaining the upperhand and akumatizing Rena, Carapace and Queen Bee and using Dark Cupid to inflect more negative emotions to get the rest of the villains involved. Don! Don! Don! It was just the dynamic duo now. However, they weren’t alone as the minor/background characters stepped in as calvary! (trumpet plays the “Charge” music). After the complete de-evilization of everyone, Ladybug and Cat Noir finally meet Hawk Moth face-to-face and battle him! Sadly, he’s still powerful enough to defeat them, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, Rena, Carapace and Queen Bee come back to finally defeat him once and for all! That is, until Mayura (formally Le Paon in work-in-title progress) came in. Yes miraculers, we finally see the peacock miraculous in use and it’s by Nathalie! (knew it too). The power of the peacock gives the wielder the power of creature creation to protect someone with their negative emotions using their fan as the weapon with one of its feathers and this helps Hawk Moth escape.The season ends with Marinette getting help from her friends with her good deed, Adrien calling Marinette their “everyday Ladybug” and Marinette stepping up her game (remembering Kagmies words on hesitation) and kissing Adrien! (on the cheek, but still!). (big echoing voice) And so once again, the day is saved! Thanks to THE QUANTIC KIDS! (”Miraculous Ladybug” theme song plays).

On the first half, we all thought that in Season 2, Lila would be frequently akumatized as Volpina to fight Ladybug since she still holds a grudge against her, but she was mostly “hid away” until Hawk Moth needed her for something bigger.......I didn’t like that! I wanted her around to see how her character will grow, but I guess we’ll have to see that next season from what I heard. Most of the villains we saw in the poster for “Heroes Day” were there except for a few such as Reflekta (all thanks to Marinette), Collector (for obvious reasons) and Anansi (that ones on Alya). I was wondering if maybe Hawk Moth had put into thought with who he wanted to come back, but I guess he was just too mad with power to think or plan carefully. I mean, I assumed he was going through a list of which villain was tough enough and which was too pathetic and narrowing it down to only the most challenging for the heroes, but I guess, like I had mentioned, he’s desperate! On the second half, When the heroes were in the combat battle, I assumed they would fight whoever it was they personally faced from being akumatized, but I think that was covered with The Bourgeois family with Chloe and Riposte with Cat Noir since they needed the rest of the screen time to come up with an ultra de-evilazation (I did like that Guitar Villain and Frightningale were only there to provide fight music thus breaking the fourth wall! Lol!). The minor characters were bada** to charge at the akumatized villains risking their own lives to save their city’s heroes cuz not only are each and every one of them is special in their own way, but heroic! (Hey! (shrugs) It is Heroes Day after all) and this is why we love them so much!. When faced with “Hawk Moth” at last, they came close to discovering what he wanted with the their miraculouses, but with all the villainy he did, they assumed it was for a dark purpose (we all know the real reason why, but he was too proud to admit it). No appearance by Duusu, but we did get to see Mayura! I really thought that fan weapon of hers would be used as individual knives to throw like that one woman from Rush Hour 3, but it had its own function. They also revamped the desing art for them, but to me it looks a little “overdone”. Not sure if this was a last minute touch up or not. From what we saw in “Queen’s Battle”, Nathalie is secretly in love with Gabriel and is fiercely devoted to him doing whatever she can to help him succeed, business or villainy. Also, the reason the peacock miraculous was never used is because it’s damaged leaving the wielder feeling weak. Hmmmmmm, maybe that’s what might of happened to who could have possibly first owned it? *cough*Emilie*cough*. We also found out that almost everyone in class is an Adrienette shipper! Yea! Phew! What a season! New heroes, villains, kwamies and characters to gush about. We have The occasional Rena Rouge, Carapace and Queen Bee whom we all guessed would be Alya, Nino and Chloe, respectively. Villains that came so close to taking Ladybug and Cat Noirs miraculouses, the cutie patootie kwamies that’ll obviously be given to Marinette and Adriens classmates next season (and I think we already know a few), and newbie characters such as Audrey Bourgeois showing up after all the crazed theories we’ve had of her and commin’ in with canon and Juleka’s older brother, Luka, to spice up the love square with Kagami towards our heroes. Nice changes happened as we got a few Chloe redemption episodes, Adrienette growing closer and closer (and if what was promised, happening in Season 3) and secrets of Emilie Agreste and what might have happened to her! I’m pretty bummed we didn’t get that “Gagotor” episode or Halloween special that was promised (why do they keep doing this to me!?), but they better bring it back next season or so cuz otherwise, I’m gonna be real pissed off! I did hear, however, that in Season 4 we’ll see Laddybug and Cat Noir get new outfits and powers! So okay! Catch you guys up next season where my reviews will be better! Bye!
