Having a concert dedicated to just the two of them is probably the closest thing vsynths can have to a wedding ceremony (<- conclusion of a kaimei-riddled mind) so happy wedding anniversary, Meiko and Kaito!

In Niigo Kaimei, Niigo Kaito is max tsundere and sufffering to me bc as angry as he is, he is ultimately a Kaito and Kaito brain tells him "We should rely on Meiko! Meiko is the best!"

Meanwhile Niigo Meiko's Meiko brain does not have this issue because as someone who was initially released on her own, she doesn't have any instinct to rely on Kaito. Would be better to work with him, yes, as they're a pair, but Meiko brain is fully capable of working independently.

Eagerly awaiting when it's Niigo Kaito's turn to meet Kaito Prime and he holds him by the scarf yelling ARE YOU WHY I AM LIKE THIS. STOP HAVING THAT STUPID LOOK ON YOUR FACE. And Kaito Prime goes ^_^ What are you talking about? You should really learn to get along with your fellow Sekai inhabitants! Speaking of, maybe you should start by relying on Meiko- and Niigo Kaito screams and tells him to eat shit

Base kaimei will always be to some degree lovey-dovey because Meiko is Kaito's first love, so it comes with all the fluffiness of that. Wifeguy kaito because he still can't believe the fact that his first love loves him

Important Kaimei headcanon I have is that they're not possessive but rather take huge pride in being the other's biggest fan and will fight tooth and nail over that title with random fans. Kaito has every piece of Meiko merch ever created and will show off his collection. Meiko is extremely quick to pull the "I've been Kaito's supporter since day one" card. Yet again it isn't possessiveness they're just huge nerds about each other and WILL lord over their Fan Clout at anyone who thinks they're the other's biggest fan. They don't even bring up being married to the other this is a sacred fan pride thing.

While Kaito will instantly go into "I miss my wife when will she come home :(((" puppy mode when separated from Meiko while Meiko can regulate herself fine (though she does regularly think about him when he's not around) at a certain point she will enter the "If I don't see my husband in the next 10 minutes I'm blowing this whole place up" horizon.

People say I'm too soft sometimes, that I let things slide, wait too long, or give too many second chances. But I don't see it that way.

I think my patience is one of the few things that's kept me steady in a world that's anything but. When the cafe gets busy and the orders stack up and tempers flare, I take a breath. I smile. I keep moving. There's a rhythm to waiting, like the way bread rises, or tea steeps just right. You can’t rush good things. People need time too, as well as space. And someone who won’t give up on them the moment they mess up.

I guess that’s where the kindness comes in.

I don’t really go around calling myself kind, but I notice things. I notice when someone in sad or happy. When they stir there coffee for too long, lost in thought. When they say “I’m fine” but won’t meet your eyes. I’m not great with big, loud gestures- but I’ll remember your order even if you haven’t been in for a few days. I’ll slip an extra cookie into your bag if it looks like you had a rough day.

that’s what I like about myself. That I try to make room for people, even when they’re hard to understand. That I wait. That I care, quietly.

Choosing to incorporate Kaito being in Fire Dance alongside Meiko, Miku, and Len (The original street sekai denizens) as part of my kaimei agenda. Guy who clings to his wife so much that he might as well be an honorary original street sekai member.

I have not finished my edit of these two but hear me out on my au for these two anyways.

Kaimei villain duo. Kaito was captured by Meiko one day but he was surprisingly into it and he amuses her so she let him work by her side. The red earring he has is a gift from her signifying that he's hers. Meiko does most of the work, capturing and extracting what they want from their targets, while Kaito does the honors of killing them once they're done. Meiko takes great joy in toying with their victims, while Kaito watches excitedly. Guy who loves when his evil wife has fun.

Kaito voice sorry Toya I can't help with befriending the dragon or whatever I have a hot spider witch wife now. We torture people together.

cannot decide if for street sekai i like "kaito is earnestly, solely into meiko but meiko thinks nothing of his flirting because back when she met him he was a playboy and thinks he's still like that" type kaimei or "kaito and meiko are fwbs. who have caught feelings for each other but both keep quiet about it thinking the other sees their relationship as purely physical + they don't want the other vocaloids + vbs to think something is up" type kaimei

I somehow get a Sekai but what is supposed to be a journey of self discovery and asserting my own feelings is wholly sidetracked by KaiMei relationship development episodes & fluff due to how my feelings influence the Sekai, and those feelings include how hard I ship them.

Kaimei really like having seasonal photoshoots and sending out cards for xmas/new years/anniversaries/postcards/what have you. The other cryptons range from ambivalent (miku, luka) to seeing it as a pain (len) in regards to doing seasonal photoshoots for their job but Kaimei like having photos all together and writing out messages about what they've been up to and spending time together. It's also partially because they get less work than the other cryptons but they're also just cheesy.

Similarly they like hosting parties around the holidays and invite a whole lot of other vsynths, kind of seeing it as their duty as veteran synths and look forward to facilitating networking and dressing up for the occasion
