Didn’t take the time to post the illustration Ice been requested by one of the school I teach at, when they decided to raise money for the bushfire situation in Australia. The kids love the animals and wanted to pose on the picture ^~^ I’m not sure how this went and if people participated, there were so many organisations and people trying to get money, word’s out many were also fake (like every time there is an opportunity, right ?) This is a disgusting thing to do, when people and animals and nature are on the line. But humans lost their humanity some time ago already, right ? Also many vegan people said it’s ironic and fake to be angry and shocked at the situation there and wrong to mostly care about humans loosing their homes and famous animals (like in this poster here) when so much wildlife has lost its habitat and not only from these fires but also from the industry, and this is climate change and this is happening because we consume animals. I agree with them, we are hypocrites. But again, what’s new.. people will feel better giving the money and if it can help at least it’s good. Of course many of us hope more people will awake sooner than later hopefully. Let’s save this beautiful planet. On a personal level seeing how hard, and the phenomenal hours some of the fellow service members have worked around the clock to help, and the navy launching its biggest evacuation in history as homes and lives are being lost. You are absolute legends. We thank you. It feels so overwhelming seeing everything perish and not being able to stop the devastating forces of nature. To put things into perspective 6 million hectares of land compared to 3 million in the Amazon have been wiped out by bushfires. 500 million animals and plants have died since the crisis began. Via News, technology > science > animals. Ecologists from the University of Sydney estimate 480 million mammals, birds and reptiles have been lost since September, the impact on many species have been extreme and ongoing. Thinking of the only way we can help at the moment is via donations, we will be donating our entire sales for the week to try to help. 🙏Pray for Australia 🇦🇺 You all would have seen all over the news and social media the tragedy that is happening here in Australia with the fires. If you aren’t aware here are the latest stats to really show you how devastating this is to our country and as we all sit here feeling so helpless, big or small I feel we can all make a difference somehow. 5 MILLION acres hectares have been burnt, 500 000 animals have died,16 LIFES have been lost and 1000s of families have lost everything in their house including their houses. There are families with nothing but the clothes on their back, no food, water, items and worse no where to go. There are families floating in the ocean hanging on to whatever they can just to not be near the heat. Our firefighters risk their lives every single day and are doing everything the possibly can but without rain it keeps getting worse. There are no words for what is happening and this Saturday is said to be the worst day yet and conditions are said to be catastrophic. HUGE shout out to all the firefighters- you are HEROS. To all the families who have lost everything my heart is with you and I will continue to do everything I can to raise money and bring awareness. To all the volunteers you too are heroes and everyone appreciates your bravery, time and commitment to Australia. To everyone who has donated big or small THANKYOU- every bit helps- even if you cant afford to donate clean out your closet and donate clothes. Volunteer your time. We can all do something.
