NTWEWY Live Thoughts (Part 3 - Main Story Finale)

FINAL PREDICTIONS: Joshua is now the Producer. Not-Joshua (from end of final trailer) is the new Composer. Either Not-Joshua or Rhyme is Swallow.

I wish the Plague Noise required the use of the "run from battle" feature. I liked that moment in the original game.

When I saw Kanon in the release date trailer for the first time, I didn't expect her character to play out like this.

"DIVIDE" is doing a really good job fitting the tone.

I'm not a fan of the Time Bomb pins when it comes to gameplay, but I like the bombs' design.

Meant to say this earlier, but forgot--while the minimap can be a bit disorienting sometimes, I feel like I've gotten a better sense of Shibuya's layout than in the first game.

Actually, Haz kinda feels like Joshua...is it possible it's him in disguise? ...but why would he be disguised?

I STILL think Haz sounds like Joshua.

Is anyone going to bring up that saving peoples' lives is more important than vague notions about what you like about Shibuya?

This is basically just a really long cutscene, but I don't care; this is awesome.

My one gripe is that the floor can be hard to make out, so it can be easy to accidentally run into the walls.

I haven't seen a finale that awesome since Octo Expansion. Just...INCREDIBLE.

Final thoughts: I don't know how NEO would rank among my favorite video games, but experiencing all of this mostly spoiler-free, seeing all the reveals and feelin all the emotions, just might mean this is my favorite gaming EXPERIENCE of all time. This game absolutely lived up to the hype and is the follow-up that TWEWY fans deserved while still being a fantastic standalone story with (usually) extremely fun gameplay.
