Its the way K-armys straight up turned their backs to Jimin for these last 2 votings where Jimin only needed 1 or 2 voting points to enter Top10, but despite us asking Karmys for MONTHS to vote for Jimin too they straight up refused, blocked us and anyone asking.

Hell, in one of the Top10 categories, Jimin, Suga and even V could have entered as well if they had pushed for it. But from those charts alone its evident that the K-side chose only ONE member to give those awards too and it was neither Jimin, Suga or V.

Twitter/X is a war-zone right now with I-armys dragging K-armys to hell for what they did and it's gonna be this way for awhile.

And these are the same k-armys that mob them in airports like rabid dogs trying to get a picture or touch them.

The Increase of Secret Jikooker's?

Rose is a Karmy from 2019 who gave brilliant insights into Jikook from kside’s point of view. During one of her Periscope Lives, she admitted that there are more Jikooker’s out there than we know of. However, they are scared of blacklash to embrace our part of the fandom. Especially with their main accounts publically. Therefore, they talk more privately. Ever since, I was intrigued by the idea of there being more Jikooker’s out there than we know of and it’s something that I’ve seen more over the years.

A good friend of mine used to run a Hobi account. Though they went on “rest” during the pandemic and we haven't spoken since. You wouldn’t know it by their posts, but they were actually a Jikooker behind the scenes. I understood and respected their decision to keep things strictly related to their account on Timeline though, so we just gushed about Jikook in the DM’s instead. One day, they accidentally retweeted one of my threads on their main account. They were really worried about the reaction they would get, but overall the response was positive. It was a surprise and it actually encouraged them to post a bit more about Jikook every now and then.

Whilst taking screenshots for the Live Reactions series, I will often see conversations between Army who strictly keep their accounts a certain way. Not an ounce of Jikookery, but they clearly know their stuff and are passionate about them. There’s been times I’ve wanted to quote them hyping up certain moments, because it's just so sweet to witness these conversations between them. However, I’m aware that they would want to keep their conversations to themselves. They wouldn't want them to be broadcasted. It’s also why I don’t include any usernames in the screenshots taken, just to keep them safe. Something else to note is that the majority of screenshots taken for the Live Reactions series, aren't from Jikook signposted accounts themselves.

I always encourage talking about Jikook, either publicly or privately. This is because I wish for them to be remembered well, as it's what they deserve. I understand that some are turned off by all the “shipping fights.'' But, if given the chance, they do enjoy these type of conversations. It also helps to show Jikook’s bond beyond our own audience. There are plenty out there that recognize how close they are, they just might have a smaller following that gets drowned out by all the hate. You can also tell when those with a bigger following are somewhat secret Jikooker’s.

At the end of the day, there are those out there that see something close between Jikook. Either romantically or platonically. Not everyone knows a person's thoughts behind the screen and not everyone feels confident enough to post things online publically about them. Personally I will continue to keep posting about them, so that anyone can see their moments together. This might spark an interest of Jikook in someone. You never know who could be reading your words about Jikook and learning more about their bond by doing so.

what do you think will happen to bts after the hybe fiasco? I've seen they are kinda not liked by the gp as much anymore but I am not korean so I can only observe from afar. Karmys scared me when they started talking about how people were asking them about cult rumors and sajaegi allegations in person. Do you think they company will ask of bts to release something that is a bit generic, easy to listen to make sure that ot7 reunion is successful? yk similar how they mentioned they came to an agreement with the company for release the English songs (I hope I have my facts correct). Do you think bts members will feel like they can't trust the company anymore? obviously you're not in their heads but is there something that could tell you this could change their relationship with company? BTS is more than fine. The sentiment in Korea towards BTS is neutral to positive - that's how it was before this mess started and that's how it still is. Regardless of all the nonsense happening at HYBE, regardless of the sajaegi claims and the omnipresent latent animosity towards BTS from other industry players given BTS's position as the top group, BTS is still mostly removed from this mess and are viewed in a neutral way mostly. They also get added bonus points from Korean gp for actually completing their military service right now.

In terms of HYBE's treatment of the group, after the HYBE fiasco Bang PD is even more dependent on BTS than before, so he has no choice but to spare no expense on the group (even if it gives sub-par quality results, and this is likely after what Min Heejin has revealed about the compensation policy at HYBE).

It's unfortunate, but yeah I expect at least a couple main tracks like this especially after everything MHJ has revealed about Bang PD's approach. Of course, it will yield only positive results for BTS given ARMY will throw their full weight behind it as will Bang PD, but yeah it's safe to expect something like the Scooter-sourced songs... unless the members themselves take more direct control of the sound direction on the album from Bang PD.

BTS re-signed with HYBE and as the members are adults, I feel they have reason to think they are able to get what they want out of their arrangement with HYBE, at least for the next 7 years. As I keep saying, whatever we see from the outside, I believe the members have more access to information that directly impacts them than any of us do, and they are ultimately responsible for their own choices.

This conflict with Min Heejin actually has benefitted the members, in my opinion, because:

It's actually increased the pressure on HYBE to secure the members' satisfaction.

It's revealed that yes, Bang Sihyuk has a dubious management style and it's likely only BTS's acclaim (and his perceived credit for it) that keeps his ill-natured tendencies in check.

Because of Min Heejin's revelations about how HYBE actually runs, there is more credibility to complaints about misaligned support for some individual members even if due to incompetence, and so I feel HYBE is extra-pressured to prove her assertions wrong. See what's happening with Fromis_9's August comeback for example.

Yes, it's possible the grumblings about Jimin's rollout under BigHit, speculation for why Taehyung worked with ADOR for his rollout etc, take on a different light after her assertions.

To reiterate, according to Min Heejin,

Sub-divisions within HYBE are badly managed because piss poor quality and minimum-level effort is highly rewarded so long as the staff pays lip service to Bang Sihyuk. Even when the idols themselves are directly harmed as a result.

This corporate environment has impacted everything from A&R / song sourcing, to merch quality, to brand collaborations, to album promotions, to video / visual production and styling, to performance scheduling. Among other things.

HYBE demands that she use their resources even if she contends they are of poor quality and overpriced (which HYBE often transfers directly to the consumers/fans), and will negatively affect the artists.

Her constant resistance against this corporate environment in HYBE and against the culture of sycophancy towards Bang Sihyuk since 2022, was one of her first sources of corporate struggle with HYBE.

Bang Sihyuk aims to gain more direct control over every successful initiative in HYBE, to gain credit and maintain the perception of 'the man who conquered the West'. When NewJeans beat his expectations for the group to fail, he aimed to gain more control at ADOR in 2023 to which she refused.

MHJ claims that when Bang Sihyuk cannot get his way, he becomes vengeful, vindictive, and obsessive, and this was the source of her continued deteriorating relations with both Park Jiwon and Bang Sihyuk.

Sources are her whistleblower report, her first press conference, and her final letter before the injunction results were announced.

There's more, but the implications of just these six assertions from Min Heejin are pretty damning. International ARMYs and other HYBE fandoms likely will never clue into this because they are too busy burning the witch at the stake, but a lot of Korean fans are closely watching how HYBE treats the members' projects from here on out.

My guess is when BTS comes back, the pressure is on HYBE to dispel this impression. Which can only be positive for BTS.

Me being a broken record

With everything that went down the past few days, I kind of feel the need to play this on repeat, so I'm going at this from another angle.

JK is not the person people are trying to paint him out to be.

This callous macho sex fiend, that at the moment, even though people keep screaming "well, he might be bi", they are actually only talking about him screwing women. And lots of them. In different places, at different times. He's a fuckboy par excellence.

And those that take that one step further also have him cheating on JM, breakup stories, make up stories, full on fanfics in the making.

3D kind of shook some people.

It was the very obvious meaning of the song, JK singing on repeat girl, and I think the big big thing here was Jack Harlow's lyrics. I think for many the initial knee jerk reaction was to those lyrics. And I will admit, I had that same knee jerk reaction (to JH's lyrics).

I still don't like them. Whichever way you look at them, they are problematic.

But I came to live with the song, cause it's JK, cause when you listen to it on repeat you just can't get rid of it (🤣), cause I like his performance (yes, including the certain very sexual moves. Hey, I'm no prude), and cause I just tend to listen to the alternative version and when I have the clip running on YT phase out from the rap (cause I just don't like it).

But for many, as I got to discover after this whole shitshow blew up, JK singing girl in a song for which he did not even write the lyrics is all it took to throw away everything people saw and knew about Jikook and JK in behaviour and interactions over the past 10 years. For that.

Forget the y/ns. All they needed and were waiting for was that kind of confirmation. They didn't need anything more than JK saying that one word. The choreo being sexual added, of course. It being sexual either way making no difference. Either way meaning every single move that was considered sexual can be applied to either male or female!!!

By the by, big deal. Big deal JK does the thrusts in the choreo. Big deal JK did that flicking of the hand. Even if he did it only not to leave Brian hanging, literally. He is an adult, and do I remind that JM did the same in the recording of their Idol MV? Him doing all of this doesn't make him into what people are trying to paint him to be.

So, we were at this point where people that were supposed to have JK's back, in the sense that even if they had doubt the least they could have done was not to continue to spread it, and with every tweet or post add a little more conjecture and assumption, none of it based in facts, didn't. Have his back in the sense of perhaps stepping back for a second and waiting to see where the stones fall, didn't. See if there is a statement, if JK says something, they didn't. There was a clear intent in the timing of these clips and pics. Posting them just after the release of the song and during Chuseok, so it takes time for whoever it is that needs or wants to take action. So it gives time for it to spread. And it did. Not with Karmy. Cause they had JK's back. Not with Chinese army, cause they were fighting the claims for authenticity of the clips, fighting the claims of harassment that were also raised against him. This was a coordinated targeted attack. And instead of having his back, I-army just went with it. Spreading it. Defending the authenticity of it. Yes, there were cries for breach of privacy. All while continuing to spread the clip over sm.

We don't know these young men fully. We also don't know what they do with their time. We get maybe a 0.01% of it now. Before we got more. The early years we got a shit ton. Not everything. But enough to see who they are as human beings. The good and the bad. And NOTHING that we got over the years, and even more so through the maybe somewhat tainted Jikook glasses indicates JK to be that person that he was painted out to be in the past few days.

The man that talked about being with that one person for life. The man that believes in destiny. The man that arranged and paid for a trip for JM to Japan knowing he was struggling at that time, going on that trip with him, doing what JM wanted to do, even when it wasn't necessarily what he would have chosen to have done (remember RM and Jhope's conversation about JM dragging JK around Malta?). The man that made that HUGE statement at RB. We all focus on the ear sucking, but this was way more than that. JK enveloping JM, whispering something in his ear. Kissing his ear. Then sucking it, kissing it again and then comforting him, helping him up and just being by his side. This is the man that fucking tattooed JM's name on his hand for all to see. That tattooed a moon on his shoulder. That tattooed an eclipse on his arm. This is the man that during a LV concert looking at JM, talking to JM, said "I LOVE YOU", out loud, for all of us to hear. And if, by any chance, he wasn't aware the mic was still on for all of us to hear, wouldn't that have been even WAY louder? No realising we are hearing him saying it to JM, that it was meant for his ears only. This is a man that has dedicated almost full lives to JM. Listening to and singing his songs, watching JM content adoringly.

All that and so so much more.

Enter a grainy clip with faces literally white washed, a couple of more either badly edited clips and pics and all is forgotten. JK is the ultimate playboy. Multiple girlfriends (what name wasn't attached to him?).

And when JK denies having a gf then it's: "but the clip is old" or "doesn't mean he doesn't sleep around".

Instead of listening to him.

You think he doesn't know when this is supposed to be from? The clip. For god's sake, the dog being there was what everyone latched onto. So he knows. And he said I don't have a gf but was talking about THAT clip. You expected him to say "yes I saw the clip, I didn't have a gf then"? No. This is what he could do. And again, instead of listening to him, what he's trying to tell us: NO GF, NO NEED FOR ONE, people are about trying to see why the clip could still be legitimate, authentic, and/or why it doesn't mean he isn't sleeping around.

No I don’t think they will. They have known about this for years and have either failed or not done enough to stop this. I have no clue as to how hard it is to cancel something like Dc gallery, I imagine it isn’t an easy thing. Perhaps if this thing hits the media hard enough there will come a statement? But I’m not really big on trusting BH to protect their members much. BH doesn’t actually care. They care about money and power, and Jk and Tae getting hate and smearcampains from Pjm’s doesn’t really matter to them. What matters to them, is Jm’s own fandom not ruining him for the whole of army. It says a whole lot about how seriously harmful Pjm’s are (speaking in general terms here) if BH recognizes that their fandom is so harmful that they will be able to destroy their own favorite. All members have solo fandom’s, and apparently PJM’s are the only group their own favorite has to need protection from. Bh are assholes unfortunately, so sadly no.. I don’t think they’re gonna do much.

It’s insane. I am no stranger to reading what goes around in those spaces. Throughout my years of Tkk blogging I’ve gotten the most vile asks about Jk and Tae (I’ve never posted those.. and you’ve seen the stuff I have posted.. so you know what to imagine). I hate their way of dealing with this. I even hate how this is worded, because it makes it seem like protecting Jm is the benevolent thing to do. Ofcourse Jm should be protected, but in this case there are other members (Tae and Jk mostly) constantly getting hit with smearcampaigns. It’s also just so silly to think that working on the way Jm is perceived in fandom is some sort of solution. It’s the rotten apples in fandom that should be dealt with, and it’s not the other apples that need to be brainwashed into thinking what’s happening isn’t actually bad. If you don’t take on the haters, they will only keep thinking they are justified. If they see that Jm gets a special treatment (and don’t even come and say it’s not special treatment if a company decides to not take on a certain member’s solo fandom that is malicious to other members in order to protect the member himself, because it is).

There are two discharged buddy soldiers who talked about their time. One was a gunner and one was a cook. They joked about how they dealt with arguments and said cause they SHARED A BED the entire time until discharge, they would just hug it out in bed and let it go. Two buddy soldiers, who had different jobs, one being a cook and confirmed they shared a bed the entire time, which is what karmy said to begin with. Which is what media said, when they said Jikook would share living area. Which is what the rules say. Jk is still in the same unit with Jimin. They will never split up, cause it goes against the buddy system. And you have discharged buddy soldiers confirming they were together all the time & sleeping together still, even tho they had separate jobs. Acting like Jikook spending a couple hours a day a apart to work, is separation, when they are going back to their living area at night and eating together 3 times a day. I will believe the soldiers. Well, that's weird because Jimin didn't say "f solos" at all. And no pjm is delusional to think that Jimin would pick a fan over his members, the actual people he knows. Any non delusional person wouldn't need to make a conflict out of that.

Ot7s should be happy that pjms and pjm fanbases exist because without them, Jimin wouldn't win awards and place high on the charts just so ot7s can say they did it for Jimin while it was pjms and Jimin fans.

While ot7 funding fanbases were barely gathering money to fund CTT and other songs, pjms have been ready for weeks.

Even though karmy and army is boycotting the song because they refuse to help pjms and think pjms owe THEM an apology for the 52Hz problems that 52Hz, kjkkrs, karmy caused, Jimin's song has already been charting well in Korea because of kpjms and will chart well here because of pjms and Jimin fans. Our streaming accounts have been ready for a few weeks now. All while juggling massive voting.

So let ot7s think that song is only for them while we keep voting, streaming, buying and truly supporting Jimin. You know seeing last years content like weverse lives , karmy comments etc, BB about recording songs & thinking about JK's personality, I don't think Jk like to spend time in hybe building other than official work 🤭🤭 I think he records most of the songs at his own recording studio at his home. I believe that Jk doesn't like Hybe's comporate environment🤭 to inspire his musical creativity so home is the best place to do that. Same with Tae , I think that's why he went to Jk's house to record the song.

Disclaimer: I'm still baby army. This is just my reading, my opinion and my take as a little army. Please challenge it in the comments if you feel like I'm misguided here.

When I first started reading blogs and twitter last year, there were lots of JK-antis accusing him of being Bang PDs fave, getting preferential treatment, etc.

It didn't take long to realise that criticism feels more like just a twisting of the Golden Maknae idea which in my opinion is a character for convenience that doesn't allow for being imperfect complicated humans. (I can ramble further about how those easy archetypes contribute to toxic fan environments but that's off topic.)

So I don't really see that he gets preferential treatment at all. His career goals and music style are highly marketable so maybe it gives that impression? Tangentially, I don't like how "preferential treatment" discredits how hard he works or how talented he is.

With that in mind, it occurs to me JK's relationship with The Company is no more close than anyone else and could be quite complex. It is all he's ever known from a very tender formative age which could contribute to a little more reticence to be Tae levels of honest about it... but you can tell how much JK has matured by how he thinks now, how he's finding autonomy and finding his voice to defend himself in ways that might not be a PR manager's dream. He's clear he wants his life to be his own.

The more I learn about him, and how he and Tae were considering not re-signing, it makes me wonder if the sheen came off the company a bit. As it would as the pressure piled on, as their hot air balloon went into the stratosphere.

All this said, I don't think there's a big JK hates the company conspiracy. Maybe he's weary of the trappings of it. Naturally it's probably always going to represent the bits of his life he has no control over and it only makes sense that he'd be happier in private spaces. Is that just getting older? Is that what we all feel about our workspace?

I've got some army side tea for you since I lurk everywhere and on the korean side too and it's too funny. Korean armys have majorly turned ot6 (editing him out of gifs and pictures and having ot6 or 7-1=6 in their bios 😂). Int armys are still saying it's antis or even other company (sm ent 😭 or Min Heejin) sending the trucks and wreaths. The funniest shit is also I actually noticed Hybe's mediaplay in real time bcs there are more articles about jtbc apologizing for wrong footage then there were about Suga's drunk driving 😭 and also now international armys want to send trucks too as a support but karmys are telling them not to because it will come across as supporting dui and make it worse for him 👽

Shaz how do you think a jikook collab will go down? Because their individual impacts are INSANE right but there's so much controversy too. Remember just because they stay silent on twitter doesn't mean they don't support him quietly. Some people just don't like confrontation. So they just donate to Jimin funds or buy in silence. I don't have the time to write an essay about this so I'll first say, if anyone wants to make an actual difference, one charity I support is Doctors without Borders. You can read about how exactly they help in Gaza, here.

Like I've been saying, any focus on HYBE and BTS in this situation is misguided, but it's what to expect from stans who cannot effect any real influence in their real lives over the parties actually responsible (their elected politicians), exercising that muscle over artists they feel owe them an alignment with their political views. Basically, these people push where they feel they have control - they don't feel they have control over their elected officials, but they feel they have control over a k-pop group and company even though even if Scooter Braun dies today, it doesn't affect the reality that underpins the slaughter happening in Gaza. And that's why they stay, because this is one of the only places they feel they have influence or control.

We see this all the time with stans cancelling various artists for speaking or not speaking on political situations, or perceived missteps like drinking Starbucks (even though Starbucks is not on the BDS boycott list). K-pop stans are generally even more entitled and obsessive than regular stans, and so for anyone showing those behaviours, it can only end one way. I said this back when Jungkook performed Dreamers during the World Cup, and I'm saying it again.

Personally, I've checked out of this discourse and I'm on lockdown for the rest of the month since we'll be busy with Tae, Hobi, and later Yoongi and Jin.
