Imman, Ghibran, and Aruldev, were signed in for the project, but since the directors of the respective anthologies left the project, Santhosh, Sundaramurthy, and Rajesh took over the project. Vishal Bhardwaj made his debut in Tamil, composing for the segment Inmai directed by Rathindran R. Prasad. As the series is based on the Indian concept or Navarasas (Indian aesthetics), each segment directed by five directors represents a different emotion such as anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace, and wonder. The songs in the anthology segments scored by varied music directors also represent a different emotion. The music directors, along with the film artists, directors, and other technicians, worked on the series without receiving any remuneration. Though multiple composers were being a part of the anthology, only nine songs were composed for the series. The episode Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru, featured five to seven songs scored by Karthik accompanied within the duration of 35–40 minutes. The track "Thooriga" is inspired from the song "Ninnukori Varnam" from Agni Natchathiram, composed by Ilaiyaraaja, and the first-bit prelude of "Adhirudha" is inspired from "Für Elise", a composition for piano by German musician Ludwig van Beethoven, and Karthik played this song in guitar. After Sarjun being roped in for the anthology whose segment titled Thunindha Pinn, Sundaramurthy KS, who worked with Sarjun in the short films Lakshmi (2017), Maa (2018), and with the feature film Airaa (2019), was roped in for this segment, and composed two songs: "The Bleeding Heart (Osara Parandhu Vaa)" and "The Comrade Theme (Dhooramai Kanaa)" sung by Uday Kannan. Composers Govind Vasantha and Justin Prabhakaran had scored two tracks each for the series. The song "Kannunjal" is set in Anandabhairavi raga.

Karthik Masa/Karthika masam  is considered to be one of the most promising months for all the Hindus. The Karthik Masa commences on the day that falls after Diwali. This month also brings in the winter season. The Karthik Masa generally starts during October to November, which is the eighth month according to the Hindu calendar. Many important Hindu festivals are observed in Kartik Month. Karva Chauth, Tulsi Vivah, Diwali, Kartik Purnima and many other important Hindu festivals are celebrated in the Kartik Hindu month. 

   The Gregorian calendar states that the Karthik Masa falls during November. The Hindus worship Lord Shiva during this month and they are required to follow certain rituals and customs throughout the entire month. Worshipping Lord Shiva during the Karthik Masa is considered to be very holy. Karthik month in Maharashtra and Gujarat is also similar to the calendars followed in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh but this special significance is not attributed to Mondays. Both followers of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu tend to perform all the rituals in a perfect manner, in order to please the Lords. During this month, devotees start flocking to the temples of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.

KARTHIKA SOMVAR VRAT ~

There are many people who follow a very important ritual during this month, which is referred to as the “Somwar Vrat”. According to this ritual, it is necessary to fast on the Mondays in order to please Lord Shiva. In Hinduism, Mondays are generally dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. But the Mondays in the month of Shravan and Karthik are considered special by Lord Shiva devotees.

Somvar (Monday) gets its name from one of thousand names of Lord Shiva – Someshwaram. Soma is  one more name of Lord Shiva as Someswara, who keeps the “Soma” the Moon curved on Lord Shiva’s knotted hair. The Kartik Somawaram Vratam is performed to satisfy the Lord Someswara (Lord Shiva).  All Mondays in Kartik maas are auspicious to perform Pooja, Abhisheka, to Lord Shiva and to get the blessings of Lord Shiva.Praying to Lord Vishnu and Shiva during Kartik maas gets the Moksha (Salvation). Kartika month is the Sin-destroying month as per Ethics in Hindu religion.

It is believed that the moon observed Somavara Vratam to escape from the curse of Daksha and to get the blessings from Lord Shiva and a spot in His matted locks.It must be noted that Karthik month in North India is generally dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Mostly this ritual of Somavara vratam is done by the people of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka states of India. The religious acts that are performed in the Karthik Masa provide results which are equivalent to devotees visiting the pilgrimage.

Pooja to naga (snake in ant hills ) – Milk and egg offerings to nagulamma; its believed to remove naga dosham with naga devata blessings. Fasting observed on these days believed to relieve from bad karma effects and been a virtuous act.  Donate offerings to poor, disabled, old and poor; See Lord Shiva in every living being.    Visit one temple per day if possible. If not possible then having a darshan of the Lord of the auspicious  monday’s of Karthik maas    Recite, hym and write beej mantra of lord shiva every day – 11, 51, 105,108, 111 times per day.

Interesting Facts:

Lord Vishnu goes to sleep on Ashadha suddha ekadashi and wakes-up on Karthika suddha ekadashi.

Lord Shiva protected the world by killing Tripurasuras on Karthika pournami.

Ganga (Goddess of river Ganges) enters in to all rivers, canals, ponds and wells and makes them as pious as Ganga.

Ayyappa deeksha is also taken during this month and is continued up to Makara Sankranthi.

Being an artiste, I want to explore a plethora of content through the art forms I am familiar with - like music, dance and drama," is how she begins her conversation with DC. Speaking about how the idea originated, she says, "Recently, I was going through Wayanad and saw a few kids singing the folklore Kampala Paatu. I was totally floored. Since I am basically a singer, I thought why not I recreate the song into a video and let the whole world know about the rich cultural heritage. I felt starting my own digital space will only help me to reach my goal. And 'Ramya Nambeesan Encore' was born."
