anyone looking for a an ovine companion? this beautiful kathadin whether sheep skull is still looking for a new home. this guy was one of my sheep last year that i raised for meat. He's almost perfect - only missing one tooth and a small bullet hole in the back of the skull, and would look awesome on a wall or shelf. won't you adopt him today?

I'm proud of Shani's Farm!

Hi we know the Shani family farm from the Seaport Market, named after their daughter. I've taken this from a weekly friendly email they send. Forgive my computer illiteracy, I can't seem to share a pic and text when I post on my iPhone grrr! And have duplicated the email and impatient trying to delete one so here's two copies for your contemplation. I'll try to post Cheryl's initial email with a loving pic. You'll love it. We have owned our farm for 15 years; we have always loved animals, taking care of our way to live and environment by consuming natural healthy products. Our belief is to help promote a better way of life on and around the farm by natural growth for all our livestock, and gardens. The food we eat should not have to travel for thousands of miles for us to consume, we need to reduce our reliance on foreign produced foods. Most of what we pay for food that is shipped is for transportation. The flavor is lost in the aging, packaging and preservatives that are added to keep the product looking fresh. Our products are fresh: no chemicals added for pest & weed controls on our pastures or hay. Shani's Farm offers free range poultry (chicken, duck, and turkey), pork, lamb and Beef. What is a CSA? Community Shared Agriculture is a way for farmers and consumers to connect through the weekly or Monthly, delivery of fresh, food baskets by the farmer directly to the consumer. By paying for their products at the beginning of the season, shareholders help provide the farmer with the initial capital to purchase or raise the appropriate supply for their members By enjoying the CSA you help support your local farmer, help preserve and enrich farmland and reduce our ecological footprint on the earth. this is technically an old photo but we peeled wellie, one of the kathadin cross ewes the other day. her first shearing, kept the wool, gonna have it spun up by a friend :) i'm not sure if she's a wool or hair sheep; so far she's not moulting at all while my other ewe and my friend's ewes are, and her texture has always been very different from even her brother, but her fibers were about three inches long and she was Not having a good time whenever it was sunny, so to the clippers she went
