Astounding Protoconsciousness, Celebrities, 1
        Astounding Protoconsciousness, Celebrities, 1
        Friday afternoon, 22 September 2023
4 minutes and 50 seconds to read
Tumblr media
This series includes descriptions of dream content mapping patterns in a random order by date as an intriguing statistical exploration of genuine causality (not "interpretation") that is virtually identical in every sleep cycle but with extraordinarily unique and engaging narratives. Many of the dream segments in this series come from much longer dreams.
(Two versions of) Gregory Hines (12 April 2017): The first version of Gregory Hines appears as an animated sketch intentionally jumping and falling smoothly and slowly near a skyscraper model with the surface of a disco ball. The continuously shifting colors on parts of its surface are associated with falling Tetris blocks, thus signifying intuitive anticipation of real-world hand mobility and coordination. Modeling of kinesthesia (and the usual associations with height) and hand mobility progresses to leg mobility modeling: The second version of Gregory Hines (emerging from the first) is more realistic, wearing a gray and white vertically pinstriped dance outfit (kinesthetic personification). I sling him over my right shoulder, and he kicks his legs without incident (modeling my absence of real-world leg mobility in the dream state). The first Gregory Hines watches with annoyance. Gregory Hines, a versatile dancer, died of liver cancer on 9 August 2003. (This dream's foundation began with seeing above-ground tree roots. Tree roots also correlate with my lack of real-world leg mobility, so the beginning and end of this dream resolve themselves with similar narratives since childhood.)
Jordan Gavaris (1 June 2015): Canadian dancer (and actor) Jordan Gavaris of "Orphan Black" is performing in "Swan Lake" on a platform so high in the sky that it is impossible to see individual people far below. I explore the area, looking over the edge of the "stage," but I do not seem to be part of the production. He wears a white bodysuit (dance outfit). I have a real-world recollection of Zsuzsanna, who is also here. My perception of being extraordinarily high is well-defined and realistic. Even though I am vaguely wary at one point, there is exhilaration. (The audience could not see the platform unless broadcast on a screen.) The huge distant curtains, which define the virtual barrier between imagination and precursory consciousness, seem part of the sky. There is a typical factor of indoor-outdoor ambiguity and a subplot of a serial killer climbing to the platform, but I remain unafraid. Jordan Gavaris was born on 25 September 1989.
(Two versions of) Kate Capshaw (7 September 2016): An invisible version remains on one bed. The visible actress is under my direction for a new Indiana Jones movie. Both versions stay in bed and thus model my ongoing real-world status. The invisible version emphasizes my lack of real-world consciousness while sleeping. Kate Capshaw was in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (1984) and "Dreamscape" (1984). The "Dreamscape" poster looked like one for an Indiana Jones movie. My dream self only recalls her role in the Indiana Jones movie. The beds are in an outdoor public location, partly modeling 3rd Street in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She asks me whether she will die when a lion eats her, but she seems unconcerned. No lions appear. (Lions are otherwise a factor of attaining real-world strength and physicality to leave the dream state, depending on my depth of sleep, which fits in here with the sustained "in bed" scenario. The association here includes hand mobility and abdominal myoclonus regarding a contemplated but unrendered scene where a lion's paw reaches over her bed and onto her abdomen.) Kate Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail on 3 November 1953.
Ken Curtis (2 July 2019): Ken Curtis approaches me as himself (in contrast to his Festus character on "Gunsmoke") as I stand in an unknown outdoor location. We do not interact, and he never speaks. I study my right hand, with my perception zooming in on it. I can see the bones of my fingers with ligaments and muscle tissue but remain unconcerned. I continuously move my fingers, staring at them with fascination. Bandages partly cover my hands and fingers. There is a background influence from previously badly burning my hand in real life (though it has healed). Ken Curtis (Curtis Wain Gates), born on 2 July 1916, died in his sleep of a heart attack in Fresno, California, on 28 April 1991.
David Boreanaz (26 June 2016): When I am with Zsuzsanna watching television, we soon go close to the screen, transporting us to a television studio where they are remaking "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" with David Boreanaz playing Ricky Nelson. He remains near a doorway for a time (signifying my usual recognition of the division between dream-state imagination and the gateway to real-world consciousness). We eventually enter a vivid but undefined liminal space where he says, "There are no cell phones here" (even though we do not have any in the setting), ultimately meaning I have neither my real-world "voice" nor hand mobility while sleeping. David Boreanaz was born on 16 May 1969.
(Two versions of) Tom Welling (20 September 2014): There was a lot of complexity in this dream, as Tom Welling plays the role of a private investigator with Clark Kent (as in "Smallville") associations, but here I will only focus on the part where he dissolves on a bed from inside a Batman costume. Clark Kent, as Batman (in a comic book fantasy where he tells me I am on "Earth C"), is eventually "disintegrating" in a similar manner as the monsters in "Little Monsters" did when exposed to light. One of his "arms" (sleeves) is still flopping around as the empty suit is otherwise without movement on the bed, but Tom is now "invisible." Tom Welling was born on 26 April 1977.
(Two versions of) Art Carney (16 April 2014): The first version of Art Carney is killed in the Loomis Street house (by someone unknown) where Zsuzsanna and I live (in my dream only as Zsuzsanna has never been to America) and hidden under a mattress for a time. The second version of Art Carney appears to be deliberately disguising himself while investigating his murder. I think he may be the same Art Carney murdered earlier. I say to him, seeing through his disguise, "Oh, you're Art Carney." I find my dream's narrative amusing, like the rehearsal of a movie. Art Carney was born on 4 November 1918 and died on 9 November 2003 of natural causes at a rest home.
The influences of my intuition and the deliberate results of my imagination while knowingly navigating the dream state create the same underlying self-evident patterns every sleep cycle, which have remained unchanged for over 50 years. Even so, I feel more mental clarity and personal validity with every series of correlations, with increasing recognition of (and appreciation of) causality as I grow older.
When two "versions" (or levels) of protoconsciousness occur, a virtual division between my absent or "invisible" real-world consciousness while dreaming and the essence of liminality is a factor. Art Carney "murdered" and "under a mattress," Tom Welling "disintegrating" in a bed while leaving a fantastical costume behind, and two versions of Kate Capshaw, both in bed but one version "invisible." These patterns have occurred every sleep cycle for over 50 years.

FROM THE EDITOR
From this point forward, Kathleen Kennedy will no longer be referred to by name. Instead she shall  be referred to by what she was, and should still be doing, as she’s better suited for the position. Harvey Weinstein’s former personal assistant.
YOUTUBE NEWS
Kicking things off today with one from Doomcock. His channel claims to have an insider in Harvey Weinstein’s former personal assistant’s inner circle, and always asks viewers to treat his information as rumors, yet oddly seems to hit the nail on the head a lot of the time. He reveals some new information about why Gina got fired, and that her twitter account may have been the smokescreen to a bigger issue in which she was simply using Gina as a pawn.

There’s a pair of videos from The Quartering today, Jeremy takes a look at the situation going on with Star Wars social media and how it’s a win for Gina, as well as taking a look at how the mob is now going after Henry Cavil for NO OTHER REASON than he’s Gina’s ex. This one in particular makes me laugh, as some of his fans had no idea they once dated.

Carl posted this earlier tonight, and I have a feeling that Gina is once again who he’s dropping a hint about and how they need to stop harassing her and find love for their fellow human. The reason I wanted to bring this up is because there are several in the comments calling him out and asking why no one has said anything to defend her.
It’s just speculation on my part, but it would not surprise me if the rest of her castmates were hit with NDA’s (Non Disclosure Agreement) within hours of the story breaking of her termination, and were most likely given an ultimatum to either sign it or be terminated too. It sucks, but then again, it’s Hollywood. I also have a feeling, Gina herself more than likely asked them not to outright say anything, as she’s the type that wouldn’t want her co-stars drug through the mud on account of her and something she’d done.
MISC
“Don’t try to ruin my life with lies, when yours can be ruined with the truth.”--Gina Carano
The people have spoken, and this quote has become the mantra for the whole movement that’s taking place. This is the Way.
When she first said it, I took her infliction to mean Disney and Lucasfilm on the whole. But as more and more comes to light I think she’s aiming that at one person, and one person only. And despite what the mob says, I think said person has yet to come out with any sort of statement because she they know that Gina’s no longer under thumb, and has the potential to fully expose everything that’s going on.

"In late August 2012 Star Wars fans from all around the world gathered in Orlando, Florida for the sixth official Star Wars convention, Celebration VI. The lineup was strong despite the live action movies, always the brightest and biggest stars in the franchise’s galaxy, coming to an end seven years earlier. Though he was not scheduled to attend, series creator George Lucas was there. Publicly, he was just there to make a surprise appearance during the panel for the animated The Clone Wars TV show. But privately he was there to talk to original trilogy stars Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. They were brought to a conference room away from the convention floor where George broke the news: he was working a new Star Wars trilogy and wanted them to reprise their iconic roles."
[Disney didn't buy Lucasfilm/Star Wars until October 30th of 2012. This meeting occurred months before the sale, and at that point, the sale couldn't be assured.]
[Now there is some speculation as to why Lucas made the treatments of his ideas for his Sequel trilogy if he was considering selling, but it should be noted that Jett Lucas, George Lucas's son has stated that his Father [George] had been working on his Sequel trilogy for an entire year before this.]
When George decided to make a new trilogy, he moved quickly. He reached out to old friend and all-star film producer Kathleen Kennedy sometime in the first half of 2012, hoping to bring her on as co-chair of Lucasfilm. The two then approached screenwriter Michael Arndt about writing the entire trilogy around May.
This means this was already being talked about and definitive actions taken for the creation of his Sequel trilogy in the first months of 2012, which could have been almost 10 full months before Disney bought Lucasfilm in October of 2012.
The design team, or “Visualists” as Rick Carter would call them, would meet with George Lucas on January 16th at Skywalker Ranch, where he would be shown art of Luke Skywalker, the Jedi Temple he had exiled himself to, and the training of Kira. This appears to be his last involvement with the film.
Phil Szostak, author of The Art of The Force Awakens and The Art of The Last Jedi, revealed that the Luke Skywalker seen in The Last Jedi had his genesis in ideas from late 2012.
"So, the late-2012 idea of a Luke Skywalker haunted by the betrayal of one of his students, in self-imposed exile & spiritually in “a dark place”, not only precedes Rian Johnson’s involvement in Star Wars but J.J. Abrams’, as well."
And in 2016, Pablo Hidalgo confirmed that Thea (Kira), Skyler, Darth Talon, and the planet of Felucia were in George’s plans.
[Darth Talon was the only thing from the Expanded Universe in Lucas’s Sequel Trilogy.]
..
"Fast forward to 2012, when we hear George is looking to make SW movies again, I though I thought 'I wonder what next Mon Calamari's gonna be. And it turns out, the Mon Calamari this time was huge swaths of the EU. There was no Jacen, no Jaina. No new Jedi Order. Chewie lived. Not surprising, but there it was." "My question is, what did George's treatments for 7 look like? I would love to see if they fit the EU."

“According to Mark Hamill, George’s overall plan for the sequel trilogy had Luke training his sister Leia in Episode IX before dying at the end of the film, though it’s unclear if Mark was referring to Lucas’ plans at the time of the sale to Disney or if this was from the numerous ideas he’d shared with the actor in the 80s.”
[It was a bit of both. Mark Hamill had always wanted [If Lucas made a Sequel Trilogy] - To have Leia learning the Force, it is even speculated that Mark Hamill wanted Luke to die a heroic death towards the end of the ST having trained Leia and have her be the one who restores the Jedi Order.
“No, there is another.” - Yoda, Empire Strikes Back
Tumblr media
That is what happens in Lucas’s Sequel Trilogy. Disney didn’t use George Lucas’ storyline, but they did use certain plot points from it. Context matters of course. The following is a list of things that Lucas had created in his Sequel Trilogy that Disney pilfered from Lucas’s Story Treatments.
Please note while core points are confirm-able, some speculation of extrapolation  from various sources is included. I tend to think it’s fairly reliable, but I cannot swear to every detail.
Tumblr media
* There was only one Grandchild of Anikan Skywalker ever born. Ben Solo. He was a student at Luke’s Jedi Temple, he did turn to the Darkside and slay some or all of the other students and set fire to the Jedi Temple before fleeing.
..
"The Son falling to the Darkside was always in the mix, the movies just ended up having it as an already established fact."
~ Pablo Hidalgo, The Tweets of San Francisco: A QM Production, 2018
https://ibb.co/9WXZZQQ
Tumblr media
..
' Question - "How many students were at Luke's' academy'? Was ot even an 'academy'? "We'd likely never use that term. That's very 'EU', not very George. It'd be a temple. As for numbers, can't say now." ~ Pablo Hidalgo 2016
..
* Han and Leia had been separated for about 5 years, but they were drawing closer again.
Tumblr media
* Ben Solo does kill Han Solo in Episode 8. We don’t know how. Lucas wrote this into the story line because he knew that Harrison Ford wanted that. He just asked him to wait til Episode 8 for it. Harrison Ford was fine with that.
* Chewbacca never had a moon fall on his head. He was very much alive.
Tumblr media
* There was no New Jedi Order.
* Luke did go into something of a self-exile and he did live on an island, he was in a ‘bad place’ [Not Darkside] , he did think he failed and he was despondent and didn’t want to try and train New Jedi again. He was not ‘disillusioned’ about the Jedi. He didn’t actually want them to end. He just was afraid of creating more Vader’s and Ben Solos because he never felt confident because of his own limited training and failing. - He was not hiding persay, but he did want to be left alone more or less - We also don’t have time frames. We don’t know how long he was on the island. - Once again, different story lines in terms of context.
"But anyway Luke in exile predates TLJ by a long time and came from someone who can very happily and rightly supersede anyone's feedback :)" ~ Pablo Hidalgo https://ibb.co/sKZnWKk
..
"Luke was training a new generation of Jedi, it all went wrong because of 1 boy, and he's the 'Jedi killer' - that's the source [the source being George Lucas sequel trilogy treatments he made in 2011 and ended up selling to Disney later]. ~ Pablo Hidalgo, 2016 https://ibb.co/JjYtGtf
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
* At a certain point Luke realizes there is something wrong with the Force. It feels ‘sick’. He knows something is very very wrong and that it would have dire consequences if it couldn’t be stopped. He spent a great amount of time communing with the Force, desperate to find the answer to what is ailing it before it is too late. Because the Force is getting worse and worse, Luke communing with it as much as he does effects him as well. [The Whills are feeding on the Force]. He knows it will probably end up killing him because he doesn’t care what happens to him just as long as he can find the answer and hopefully how the threat can be overcome.
Tumblr media
* It is believed at a certain point in Episode 9 he does find the answer. He tells the gang what needs to be done because he was far too weak and was dying and nothing could stop it. He put on a brave face. Leia leads the group to the ‘final battle’. Luke dies while they’re gone. His communing with the Force saves the Galaxy from the Whills by finding the answer to how to stop them. A heroic death befitting of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Master. [we have no idea how these things play out, what needs to be done, etc.]
Tumblr media
* Luke did train and young girl. Her name was Kira. She was from Jakku and a tinkerer. We don’t know much about her, only that her training was never completed and she wasn’t a “Mary Sue”. Luke actually trained her.
Tumblr media
* Luke does train Leia to become a Jedi. She becomes a full Jedi Knight towards the end of Episode 9.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
* There is a scene that does take place in the Ruins of the Second Death Star [which is underwater]  in Emperor Palpatines Old Throne Room. The Emperor is as dead as a door nail. The Redeemed Anakin Skywalkwer’s sacrifice was not in vain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Princess Leia, fully trained by The Last Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker, becomes The Last Jedi Knight in Episode 9. “The Other” - It than falls to Leia to restore the Jedi Order, which if the speculation is true, is what Mark Hamill wanted.
Tumblr media
What I wish is that [Disney] had been more accepting of [George Lucas]’guidance and advice. Because he had an outline for ‘7’, '8’ and '9’. And it is vastly different to what they have done.
— Mark Hamill, 2017
..
Mark Hamill quotes about Lucas Sequel Trilogy -
"George had an overall arc – if he didn't have all the details, he had sort of an overall feel for where the [sequel trilogy was] going – but this one's more like a relay race. You run and hand the torch off to the next guy, he picks it up and goes.
"I happen to know that George didn't kill Luke until the end of [Episode] 9, after he trained Leia. Which is another thread that was never played upon [in The Last Jedi]."
where Lucas would have taken the second set of prequels. Though Leia and Luke communicate telepathically, fans have never really seen her use the Force. Mark Hamill had this to say about Leia using the Force in George Lucas' original writings.
"This is always something that interest me because we can communicate telepathically and I tell her in one of the movies, I guess the third one, you have that power too. So I always wondered, and I don't read the fan-fiction [The Expanded Universe] , why she wouldn't fully develop her Force sensibilities and I think that's something George Lucas addressed in his original outline for 7, 8, 9. I was talking to him last week, but they're not following George's ideas so we'll have to wait and see on that one. But it seems like a waste of an innate talent that she should utilize in some way."

"...Knowing that the film was made for a young audience, I was trying to say,in a simple way, that there is a God and that there is both a good side and a bad side. You have a choice between them, but the world works better if you're on the good side."

"Right or wrong this is my movie, this is my decision, and this is my creative vision, and if people don't like it, they don't have to see it."

An interviewer said to Lucas after he said he would be too old to complete the third trilogy:
"Do you know how many fans would be willing to feed you Cream of Wheat and wheel you around in your chair if you did [intend to complete the third trilogy]?"
Tumblr media
"Everybody said to drop the stuff about the midichlorians, it makes it too confusing. But it’s a metaphor for a symbiotic relationship that allows life to exist. Everybody said it was going to be a giant turkey: “This isn’t going to help LucasFilm at all.” I said, “This is about the movie and the company is just going to have to deal with whatever happens.” That’s one of the reasons why there was so much hype on the first prequel: Everybody was terrified."
~ George Lucas, Rolling Stone Magazine, 2005

“The ones that I sold to Disney, they came up to the decision that they didn’t really want to do those. So they made up their own. So it’s not the ones that I originally wrote.”
~ Lucas on his sequel trilogy

"The Force has two sides - [Light and Dark]. It is not an inherently malevolent or a benevolent thing. It has a bad side to it, involving hate and fear, and it has a good side, involving love, charity, fairness and Hope."

The End - A Metalocalypse Multi-Chapter Fanfiction
Excuse the long title, but it’s like the preview. Here’s my Metalocalypse story, I’m posting it here and on AO3, so read it wherever you like! here we go;
Chapter 1
It’d been ten years since Dethklok split. After everything that happened at Doomstar Requiem and with Murderface in a coma, they couldn’t keep themselves together. It wasn’t a bitter breakup, though, everyone seemed to be on the same page; it was time for a break.
Skwisgaar was the first to leave Mordhaus. It was a rainy September morning when he walked out of his room, a bulging suitcase in one hand and a guitar in the other, and announced he was leaving for Sweden to teach master guitar lessons. No one tried to stop him, and this might’ve hurt Skiwsgaar’s ego a little, but he’d never show it. They said their farewells and Skiwsgaar disappeared out the door.
Next went Pickles. He met a girl and decided to get married. This was unexpected, especially since it was Pickles. Toki was the only one to disprove, “I didn’ts even thinks you likes the girls.” he’d said, but the wedding went on without a hitch. The day after Pickles left for the honeymoon and never came back.
All that was left of the once fierce Dethklok was Nathan and Toki. Nathan often wondered why Toki stayed. He was young, and any band would be ecstatic to take the famed rhythm guitarist from Dethklok into their group. Toki would have it easier than the rest of them. He wasn’t old or hospitalized. In fact, Nathan would argue that Toki was in the prime of his life.
But there he was, sitting across the table, munching on granola and fresh fruit. Nathan watched him. He’d seen Toki grow up. He’d watched him go from some small, nervous kid that showed up late to his audition and got hired by the skin of his teeth to, well, Toki. It amazed him that he’d stayed so long, depending on how they treated him all those years. What was the pull? What kept Toki here like glue?
“Yous are all likes the brothers to me.”
That’s what Toki said after that day. Seeing him lying there, bloodied and sallow-skinned, it made Nathan want to tear Magnus in half. But then Toki said that, a summarization of everything they all felt but were too scared to say. They were brothers.
And now they were all leaving. Nathan, too.
“Toki,” Nathan coughed, catching the attention of his breakfast partner. Toki looked up, his mustache granola stuck in his mustache. Nathan continued, “I, uh-- I need to talk to you.”
“Sures, what is ups?” Toki said between mouthfuls, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. Nathan just watched him. The fact that Toki seemed so calm was not helping. “Look, you remember Abigail, right?” Nathan said, and Toki nodded his head. “Ja, that’s yours girlfriends.”
“Yeah, yeah. My girlfriend.” Nathan was nodding with Toki, like he was trying to also agree that Abigail was his girlfriend. Which she was, but that wasn’t the point. “And you, uh, you remember what happened with Pickles’ and his girlfriend? Y’know, how they got married and stuff?”
Toki shriveled up his nose in disgust. The marriage had been a rocky one, with Toki objecting multiple times before, during, and after. It wasn’t until the bride’s father threatened to sue Toki for “disturbing the peace” that’d he’d finally calmed down. “Yeahs, I remembers.” Toki huffed, shoving another spoonful of that God-awful breakfast in his mouth, “The cakes was gross. It tasteds like dildos.”
Nathan nodded but didn’t say anything. It was quiet except for Toki’s chewing. Nathan knew he should say something, he had to say something, but how was he supposed to break it to the kid? Should he just come right out and say it? Should he try and explain? Should he--
“You twos are gettings the hitched, ja?”
Nathan shot up to look at Toki, who was looking at his bowl. “Goods for yous,” Toki said, idly stirring his breakfast, “I knews you woulds. I saws yous packings last nights. I hopes you two are very happys togethers.”
“Toki, I--”
Toki raised a placating hand, shushing Nathan. He looked up from his breakfast for the first time that morning and smiled bitterly. “ I knows. Yous is sorry. You cans goes.” Nathan didn’t move. He just looked at Toki, unblinking, shocked and ashamed beyond words. Toki looked back at him.
“Why’s are yous still heres?”
Nathan stood up. That was all Toki had to say.
He took his time getting his things together, packing away the pieces of his old life to start a new one. He walked by the empty, despondent rooms of the old members, and then Toki’s, which was still well-kept and lived-in. He walked to the exit before turning to look at Toki one last time.
“I’m sorry.”
Nathan liked to think he was grown and past the ‘feelings are totally unmetal’ part of his life. But this tight, burning feeling in his chest and the lump in his throat was totally un-metal.
Toki smiled. “I knows.”
And so, the lead singer of Dethklok left. Toki watched the door shut behind him and then, staring from the window, his motorcycle drive off into the distance.
Then, he lost it.
He wrecked the dining room. He flipped the table and smashed the chairs, sending food and dishes flying into the air and smashing on the ground. He ripped up the furniture, punched the TV, hell, he even beat up a handful of klokateers. He sobbed violently through it all, screaming until his voice was hoarse and he could taste blood from his ruined throat.
Then, Toki lied down amongst his carnage. He stared up at the ceiling, remembering his band, his friends, his brothers.
Toki cried.
~
“Breaking News: World-Renowned Death Metal Band Dethklok breaks up!”
Violette was sitting in the rec-room fiddling with a guitar when the TV blew up with the announcement. She was a short, plump girl with unruly blonde hair and a small case of vitiligo. Being the lead singer of Glitterbabies meant she had to stay up to date with the world’s news, and today Dethklok was just that.
She turned up the volume as the announcer explained that after the events at what was known as Doomstar Requiem and William Murderface falling into a coma, the band fell into a state of unrest. Skwisgaar Skiwigelf was the first to go after he started a business in teaching guitar in Sweden. Next was Pickles The Drummer, who married America’s Top Model Irene Desjardins and left to live in France. Lastly was Nathan Explosion, who married his longtime girlfriend and producer Abigail Remeltindtdrinc. Apparently, the only one left was Toki Wartooth, who refused to comment.
‘Huh.’ Thought Violette, watching as the announcer explained the rising number of suicide rates caused by this break-up. She always knew it would happen. All empires must fall at some point or another. But never like this, never in such a simple way.
Distracted by her thoughts, Violette didn’t hear her band walk in. Tonya was the first to catch her attention by jumping onto the couch next to her, causing Violette to yelp and nearly fall off.
“Hey, no need for the freaking out! Only us.” Tonya laughed in her heavy Russian accent, lying her head on Violette’s lap. The rest of the band joined, piling on top of one another like cats. “You scared me,” Violette huffed, “Just jumping in on me like that, what if I had a knife or something, huh?”
Tonya snickered. “But didn’t, so vhy vorry?” She said as she took her guitar from Violette’s hands, idly strumming without a beat. Violette sighed deeply, she could feel a headache coming on.  “What do you guys want anyway?”
“Boss called ‘ya,” came Honey, who sat on the far end of the couch. Violette furrowed her brows. “Called me? He hasn’t called on me in what, like, a month?”
“Weird for us too.” Kathleen mumbled, sprawled between Honey and Tonya like a lounging cat, playing on her gaming console without care. Violette sighed and stood up, pushing Tonya’s head off her lap and onto the floor with a thud.
“Privet! A little varning next time!”
“Tonya, darlin’, I thought ‘ya said y’all Russians were durable? Why you complain’?”
As the band erupted into another argument at Honey’s blatant prejudice, Violette left to see the boss. This was another one of her duties as lead singer. He never called on the others, never batted an eye when they asked to speak with him through the microphone he had installed outside his office. It was only her.
To some, that was a privilege. To Violette, it was her burden.
She knocked gently on the office door. A gruff voice told her to come in, and once she did the door slammed shut behind her.
“Violette.” The Boss said, sitting at his long, impending desk with his hands folded. He motioned his head for her to sit. “Come in. We have much to discuss.”
Violette walked carefully to her seat, making sure to keep her bubbling anxiety off her face. She sat down, digging her nails into the palms of her hands. Sweat was beading on the back of her neck. No matter how many times she did this, she was always nervous.
“The girls said you called for me.” “That I did.”
Silence. The Boss shuffled some papers on his desk.
“You’ve heard the news about Dethklok.” It wasn’t a question, but a statement. Violette nodded her head. “Yes, I have.”
“Then you know about Toki Wartooth.” Toki Wartooth. The last remainder of an era that would change the world forever. “A little, yes.”
The Boss hummed. Whether that was good or bad, Violette couldn’t tell. He tapped his pen on the table, that tapping becoming the only sound in the room.
“You’re going to recruit him.”
Violette shot up immediately. She stared at The Boss, wide-eyed. “I’m going to what?”
“I said you’re going to recruit him.” The Boss sneered. In the darkness, Violette could see his beady, green eyes staring at her. Violette fidgeted uncomfortably under his gaze. “You’ll go to Toki Wartooth, you’ll offer him a spot as lead guitarist- not rhythm, lead. If Tonya has a problem with that, send her to me.”
“But boss, I-”
The Boss raised his hand, and Violette was immediately silenced. In the dark, he smiled. “You may go now, Violette. Tell the others.”
Violette stood up from her seat. She bowed, thanked The Boss for having her, and left without another word.
It was until she was back in the safety of the dog-pile of her band that she unclenched her fists, her palms were covered in small, crescent-shaped cuts.

Latest Romance Book Releases – 04-28-2020
HAPPY TUESDAY NEW RELEASE DAY!! It’s a BIG list fully loaded with 85 books!!!! And yesterday’s list rocks worlds too, and then… I reviewed and awesome one so we have PLENTY to read, my friends.
In fact… Jan was already prepared!
Jan: Three new release preorders arrived on my kindle this morning. Whoops! I’d forgotten I’d ordered two of them. Where the Lost Wander (which I think I might read first), A Duke by Any Other Name by Grace Burrowes and another HR, Heiress for Hire by Madeline Hunter.
And while you’re here, don’t forget to check out:
AUDIOBOOK LVERS!

READER RECOMMENDATIONS & BARGAIN FINDS:
TWO MONTHS FREE KINDLE UNLIMITED DEAL!!! <— If you haven’t tried it yet, now’s your chance (it’s still going on through the end of April).
and…
Infinite Us by Eden Butler <— EDEN BUTLER RE-RELEASE! “…Nash Nation loves zeroes and ones, over-sized monitors, and late office hours. He’s too busy taking over the world to make time for relationships—that is, until his new neighbor Willow O’Bryant barges into his life, and now Nash can’t shake the feeling that this isn’t the first time she’s interrupted his world. Then, the dreams start. And in the dreams—memories...”
Kathy: On Amy Harmon’s Facebook page, she posted that she read Eden Butler’s Infinite Us and highly recommended it.
Mony: Just finished The Cornerstone by Kate Canterbary and loved it! Steamy story about Hot Guy & Sassy Girl as they steer through one night stands into something more. Sassy Girl is great – sharp-witted & a tough nut to crack. H is a great alpha. Loved the slow burn & Hot Guy’s transformation. Banter between h & H is clever and even sharper in second half.
A 4.5-star read (deduction cause too much about h’s family). Plan to read The Spire (#6 in series)…story about Hot Doctor & Rebel Girl.  Thanks Jan for mentioning this author!
Cicely: Hi Maryse! I just want to share that Absolution, the third book from The Disenchanted series from L.D. Davis is out now too!! The series is great and is worth some extra love.
Angst loving fanatic like me would love it!!!
Michele G: Tasha, where are you? I read it because of your high marks….you weren’t wrong!! I just finished The Sun Down Motel and it was AMAZING!! I listened to the audiobook and felt like I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone …or something at times…..so so good!!! I highly recommend!

Forced Perspective
Tumblr media
I feel like i write about this too much but it’s everyday i see some new sh*t about it. Like, the f*ck everybody?
Tumblr media
Yo, the hate Solo is getting is insane! Apparently Lando is pansexual now which has triggered an entire fan community and they are being quite vocal about it. They're boycotting the f*ck out of this movies! Now, i don't know if this is really because of "forced diversity" or whatever but what i do know is that all these new movies suck compared to the original trilogy. Thing is, they're still mostly better than the prequels and they were made by the guy who created the whole damn franchise! So, f*ck it, you know? Star Wars was never Citizen Kane, let's be honest. It's a movie about a bunch of space wizards, fighting against a cyborg asshole who has a dope voice, interspersed with starship dogfights. No one is winning an Oscar outside of effects for these movies.
Tumblr media
And that's the point. Star Wars is a goddamn popcorn flick. It is. It's nothing more than a good time with pretty visuals which the new movies nail perfectly. You don't like the direction these cats took your characters? look into the plethora of alternative tales at your disposal. There's 40 years worth of sh*t to get into, not just whatever Disney is sh*tting out at the moment. Hell, the third and fourth best Star Wars stories i've ever experienced ain't even  movies, They're f*cking video games! If you haven't experienced The Knights of the Old Republic duology, you need to get on that immediately. Them sh*t's is dope.
Tumblr media
I've had to suffer Michael Bay destroying my beloved Transformers for, like, a decade or some sh*t. I hate every one of those films except the first. That one was okay but the rest? Rancid donkey skeet. Still, there is an entire generation of kids who are into the franchise now because of them. As much as i hate that fact, there are kids who love TF now as much as i do. Among them, there are even converts to Generation One, which is dope. Moreso, we got the excellent Transformers Prime show and all of the brand new lore it brought to the fandom. If it means i have to tolerate Bayformers in order to get those kind of returns, then i’ll grin and bare it. Star Wars Rebels is kind of the same way in that vein and so are the new comics. Marvel’s Darth Vader is one of the best books i’ve read in decades and they gave us a brilliant character in Dr. Aphra. I think she has her own limited now based on that initial appearance.
Tumblr media
DO i think Kathleen Kennedy needs to be removed? Yeas. She’s let her ego get he best of her and has been producing a mediocre product. Am i upset they “bastardized” Luke Skywalker? No. If you look at his path up until that point, it’s the only discernible destination for the character. Am i upset about Rey being a Mary Sue? No. you could have fixed that easily with an actual training sequence with Luke. Am i upset they didn’t do that in TLJ? Not really. It as a poor narrative choice not to but if you accept that Rey is just a motivation for Kylo Ren, then it makes sense why she’s so inexplicable. Rose Tico is an awful character. Phasma was useless.Finn is a token. Poe Dameron is superfluous, the Rebellions is stupid on so many levels, and no one cares about Han Solo enough to merit a spin-off title. Kathleen Kennedy is bad at her job and needs to be fired but, if she’s not, who cares?
Tumblr media
If my Transformers can survive Michael Bay, your Star Wars will survive Kathleen Kennedy and all of her bullsh*t.

Rey and the Redemption of the Jedi
I’ve seen The Last Jedi once now, and my month will be incomplete if I miss seeing it at least once more.
After some conversation I believe that I’m seeing a story arc that no one may have intended, but exists nonetheless. That is the redemption of the Light and, perhaps more strikingly, of the Jedi.
Last night I watched The Phantom Menace with my brother and father. Ignoring the frankly terrible acting by everyone except (perhaps) Liam Neeson, the story really begins to illustrate everything wrong with the Jedi Order at the fall of the Galactic Republic. The chief offender is actually the midichlorians.
While most fans are content to dismiss this focus on science in TPM, what they really illustrate is just how far the Order has fallen from faith and belief, not only in the Force, but also in their people and, for lack of better terminology, their souls. They believe they have scientifically explained life itself. After all, as Qui-Gon attempts to indoctrinate Anakin he explains that life would be impossible without them.
I could get into arguments about emergent properties and yet another biased theistic portrayal of atheists, but it doesn’t serve my purpose, except to say that QGJ’s Jedi philosophy is largely atheist in my opinion. The rest of the Order, except maybe Yoda, presents as mechanical members of the faith, not believers.
The Force is their tool.
This compounds in Anakin Skywalker’s fall. While he made his own choices and yes those choices damned him, there was that moment, that shining moment when Yoda could have turned the whole thing around and saved the entire galaxy from 30 years of horror by just being a fucking "human being". When he counsels Skywalker to put aside his emotions, to fear his heart and to shun attachment, he dooms both Anakin and Padme in the name of religious doctrine. The Jedi wouldn’t call this a fear-based decision, by the way, but they are institutionally scared that embracing any emotion leads to the dark side. There is no passion, only peace. Fear, anger, aggression, the dark side are they.
Beyond that, though, Yoda puts the final nail in the coffin of the whole diseased and debased system. Remember this is a system that willingly and even enthusiastically embraced a slave army. Yes, the clones were slaves. They were born into it, they knew no other life, and they had no end but death in service. The Jedi embraced it. The Republic enthused over it. Slaves to make the death and chaos of a civil war clean and noble. Slaves to ease their consciences. Slaves to dispose of by the millions.
The Republic, and by extension the Jedi, deserved destruction.
A New Hope, Empire, and Return of the Jedi show Luke beginning to understand what the Order had wrong. After all it’s his love of an absent father, really the idea of who his father was, that saves him. He rejects Obi-Wan’s belief that Vader and Anakin are two people, and by extension Obi-Wan’s refusal to accept any measure of blame for Anakin’s fall. After all, if Obi-Wan hadn’t walled himself off from emotion with his loss of Satine (the queen of Mandalore in the Clone Wars series) he might’ve been that vital lifeline that Anakin needed. He tried at the end in Revenge of the Sith, but it was too little, too late.
And so we finally come to Luke and Rey and The Last Jedi.
I really can’t praise Rian Johnson or Kathleen Kennedy enough for their decision to have Rey be unconnected to any of the great bloodlines. She’s not Ezra and Sabine’s girl, she’s not Luke’s by blow or a bastard of Han’s, she’s not even related to Palpatine. None of it.
She’s new. She’s the breath of fresh air, the realignment of millennia of corruption and entrenched elitism.
She’s the New Jedi Order.
So what’s so different?
First, attachment and emotion are shown without doubt to be sources of strength and power. Rey lives in a place where love exists. She loves Finn. Screw the romance crap, it’s a pure platonic love that is refreshing and heartwarming. If they get romantic that’s cool, and my heart will break a little for the Poe/Finn shippers, but hey maybe they can have an open polyamorous relationship. It’s a new era after all. But beyond Finn, she loves. She is enormously aggrieved by the death of Han Solo. She is saddened by the loss of life around her. She is connected to the universe, not removed from it.
She feels.
Look at that hug at the end if TLJ. That’s joy and relief, and the utter rejection of the Old Order’s message about the fear of humanity, the fear of being a whole, functioning being.
Let’s talk about the hole on the island. The symbolism of the cave to the underworld, especially in terms of Cambpell’s heroic journey, can’t be missed. Rey literally descends into the underworld and dies there, just as the hero in the monomyth is supposed to do. She falls into the realm of death and receives the answers to her endless quest to belong. When she comes out the other side, she is a new being. Her old self is no more.
The dark side is just as much a part of the Force as the light, and that fear that she is alone, bereft of any connection, is exactly what she is. Alone. Free. Rey is able to make her own connections without a terrible past haunting her. She doesn’t have the Skywalker legacy to contend with, even the whole space Jesus divine conception of Anakin isn’t part of her legacy. (I did love how Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith as much as said that Shmi Skywalker, Anakin’s mother, was a test tube for his mentor, Darth Plageus.)
Yes, she dives into the darkness and she confronts her fear. And here Luke illustrates perfectly the lessons of his mentors. He is unquestionably afraid of her and most especially her willingness to dive headlong into the dark side. “You didn’t even flinch!”
Rey’s revelation overwhelms her at first. She is overwhelmed by the enormity of her lesson and turns away from it. Instead, with her growing connection to Ben/Kylo, she turns to him.
Kylo Ren is part of her journey. Here he becomes her new mentor, in many ways he is the training for her that Luke fails to provide. But what is Kylo Ren’s message to her? “Kill the past,” he says. Forget the old. Embrace the new.
Right there I see something I don’t think a lot of others do. The internet, since the mere mention that a girl of all things would be the new Jedi, has been obsessed with labeling Rey as a Mary Sue. She’s no more a Mary than Luke Skywalker is a Gary. But right here, just like in the brilliant writing in Empire Strikes Back, Rey fails.
She reaches out to the monster. She thinks maybe her lesson is to pull a Luke, to rescue Kylo. After all she should follow Luke, the Jedi Master, shouldn’t she? So if he saved Darth Vader (something she praises Luke for in their interaction), it stands to reason that she must stand up and do her part, repeat the cycle, and save Ben Solo.
And she fails.
It’s a painful blow, especially after they have their side-by-side battle and destroy the Praetorian Guard, saving each others lives more than once. But the depth of the devastation is shown by the breaking of Anakin Skywalker’s lightsaber. In itself this is a nice bit of symbolism. The old way is shattered. Everything centered around Anakin and the fall of the Jedi Order, but now it is all broken. By the end of the movie Rey is reconciled to that failure, or at least hardened to it. This is shown by the breaking of Kylo and Rey’s connection when she closes the Falcon’s ramp. Instead Rey has embraced a new future and a new order.
Even Luke sees it. He didnt have the time with her that Yoda had with him, but even without that intensive training he can see that she has something right going on. Either he knows she took the books or doesn’t, but he approves of her taking the mantle. Leia and Rey both sense that he is at peace with moving on, passing on the responsibility and the burden of the future to one who has a chance.
This dark side flirtation is perhaps one of the most important things Rey does. She faces a fear that crippled the entire Order before her. She touches her fear, owns it, recognizes it. She doesn’t hide from it and wall herself off. The old Jedi were blind because they believed that fear itself was the dark side. Yoda says as much in The Phantom Menace. And in that they not only encouraged fear and isolation, they embraced it.
Rey is their redemption. She is they way forward out of the sins of the past and into a future of hope and light. And she will not be the Last Jedi.
P.S. I can’t put this to bed without taking an aside to praise Yoda. The Last Jedi redeems the character in my eyes. I was so aggrieved by his heartless crushing of Anakin, and his willful acceptance of the slave army, even though these decisions appeared to pain him, he made them anyway. It has caused me to relabel him as “the fascist green sock puppet”. In Revenge of the Sith, I think Yoda began to see just how badly he’d failed, but I think he still put aside a portion of his blame. He was following the tenets of the Order, as wrong as he may have thought them. It seems that death has given him a measure of knowledge, and the Yoda that counsels Luke about failure is the best version of the character yet.

Key Dreaming Processes Reference, Lions, page 1
        Saturday, 27 April 2019
        Reading time (optimized): 5 min.
Tumblr media
Lions in my dreams appear most often as the result of the need or desire to expedite the waking process. As such, a lion would typically be a modulatory factor of the emerging consciousness. My dream self creates the presence of a wild animal to serve as a more powerful prompt to leave the dream state, or in some cases, to explore or experiment with the dynamics of the dream state depending on where I place my focus.
In this companion series, I will explain specific processes for each rendering in no particular order. There may be crucial information about the specifics of each rendering that do not appear in the original online dream journal entries. The details in this series with their decoding are only a part of each relevant dream.
September 7, 2016. No lion appears in this dream, though I include this here as an aid in understanding the process. Instead of the manifestation of a lion, the anticipatory dynamics sustain the event rather than prompting me to wake.
Kate Capshaw, the actress, is this dream's primary modulatory personification and is also this dream's sleeper simulacrum. I control my situation without lucidity. Kate Capshaw played a character who studied sleeping and dreaming in the movie "Dreamscape" (1984). This dream confuses it with her role in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (also from 1984). She remains passive in her bed (in an outdoor setting in a modern city that seems like La Crosse, where I had not lived since 1994) in the film production of a fictitious new Indiana Jones movie. She asks me if I am going to direct an outcome that results in her being eaten by a lion, though is illogically willing to fill that role. No lion appears. I am aware of an invisible version of her also being in a second bed, which represents my subliminal association with Zsuzsanna. (I have no recall of my waking life status in this case, only the subliminal awareness I am sleeping, yet the film production scenario is analogous to dream control.) Kate Capshaw's real name is Kathleen Sue Nail, "Sue" being a form of Zsuzsanna's name that she does not like.
Seeing the poster for "Dreamscape" in waking life usually makes me mistake it for an Indiana Jones movie poster. Both movies feature a cobra, though the one in "Dreamscape" is anthropomorphic. (Controlling a cobra was one of the first activities I explored in vivid dreams as a child.) Though there was no cobra (or lion) in this dream, it is another subliminal thread that brought about this dream's typical erroneous manifestation.
This dream also renders a parking lot as associated with the physical body being inactive in sleep. In this case, the beds are in a parking area near commercial buildings, a rendering that has occurred in previous dreams since childhood.
I will now continue to review other dreams where these processes feature the rendering of a lion.
September 6, 2016. This experience occurred the day before the one explained above. My dreams often feature carry-overs, though this is the result of examining typical dream content and the fundamentals of their processes, which has little to do with real life. In this case, my conscious self identity is partially present. Zsuzsanna and I have pet lions in what first seems to be an unfamiliar apartment though is later a hotel room. There are a lion and a lioness sleeping on one of the two large beds. This dream transitions into a bathroom wake-up call but also has typical doorway mediation. As thinking skills emerge, I consider that having lions in a bedroom is not a good idea. Hiding in the bathroom, in the bathtub, with random dream characters results in soon seeing the silhouette of the lioness through the shower curtain. My only option is to go to the end (with the faucets) where beyond that, is the toilet. (This example is one where my conscious self realized my need to use the bathroom, but my dream self does not.)
On an additional note, how does this dream differ from one from February 10, 2017, where a vulture (as tall as I am) was keeping me out of the bathroom rather than forcing me to move to it (as in my childhood dream from January 7, 1968, with seagulls keeping me from using the bathroom)? The difference is easy to comprehend for anyone of reasonable intelligence. In my previous dream with the stalking lioness, my dream self remained unaware of my need to go (until the final moments of RAS mediation). In this one, I knew I had to go but mistakenly was trying to use the one in my dream. Both dreams feature combined doorway mediation and vestibular system correlation, additionally with the vulture as the anticipation of flight (analogous to leaving the dream state).
January 14, 2017. Regardless of how a dream starts, what processes render its content, and whether or not my dream self maintains the will or discernment to mediate or attempt to modulate, the bathroom wake-up call is sometimes the outcome no matter what. This time it is a lion cub messing on our bed to serve as the prompt. Of course, the presence of the bed correlates with my emerging awareness of being in the dream state, so in this case, I do not have to scare myself awake with the presence of a lioness, as I already have the thread of concurrence with environmental monitoring. The friendly but unfamiliar dog walking about on the floor represents this subliminal control factor.
July 1, 2016. This dream was vivid and prolonged due to my more domineering dream self (not lucid, though still aware of dream processes and their causes, which is why non-lucid dream control is typical for me), of which resulted in ceiling mediation rather than the usual "something coming down from above" process (though still the same mechanism). It was an amusing haunting dream of which are typically caused by my dream self's subliminal awareness of my waking life identity. I see a big lion on the couch in our lounge room (at a previous address). Without lucidity, I still begin to perceive both liminal (personal) and enigmatic (transpersonal) space. As a result, the lion, that I boldly stare down, becomes an unfamiliar human male with whom I talk. Animals transforming into people or suddenly having human attributes (a factor of RAS modulation) is far more common than the reverse and is a result of the transition from the more primitive and isolated mental processes to wakefulness and human identity and intelligence.
December 3, 2016. In this dream, a male lion changes into my wife, Zsuzsanna (though it is by way of subliminal dream control). She is wearing a long and flowing white nightgown, which is an emergent factor of dream state recognition. We hug, and I wake. The process stemmed from two unknown men trying to get lions into their land rover, an atypical form of vestibular system correlation.
For me, the rendering of lions in dreams has different dynamics than other threatening animals such as wild dogs. One difference is that lions do not make physical contact with me in the way attacking dogs have, probably because a lion is a more powerful waking alert factor, expediting the process. Additionally, there is also the factor that a lion is less likely to be a real threat in my environment than other wild animals or stray dogs.
