Been a bit for an Anpanimal Crossing drawing, and I decided to go with the Donburiman Trio!

Tendonman and Katsudonman were easy to decide, but Kamameshidon was trickier, thanks to not having a protein existing in his original design. But I felt Bull works for him the best!

I love the difference in design for the same concept of "theatrical short used as a single gag" vs. "a full ten minute episode with the concept focused on them. XD

Anpanman tk headcanon #2:

You know the Donburi trio? Yeah, those three?

They tickle fights each other all the time. It's not even a headcanon, it's a FACT. Like, look at them, LOOK . AT . THEM, and tell that one of them doesn't start a tickle fight.

So I'm gonna list some tk headcanon on each of these cute dumbasses:

(Please noted that I don't want to make this text long so I'm gonna do this as short as I can, you can add some bonus headcanons if you want to though, :))

Tendonman:

-Since he's the most ticklish of the three, he's often the one that get wreck by Katsudonman and Kamameshidon most. Which he's enjoy

-His worst spot are his stomach, sides. and feet. Also, I have this interesting headcanon that every Donburi characters are ticklish inside their bowl-head.

-Katsudonman and Kamameshidon LOVES to raspberry on his stomach 'cause he'll be scream laughing SO loud that his laughter almost bust the other two's eardrums (if they have one).

-But he can be a scary ler if he want to.

-Coos and laughs along with who he's tickling because he finds it super silly and sweet.

-So I say he's a 50/50 switch.

Katsudonman:

-Being the weakest of the three is a HUGE disadvantage when it's come to tickling.

-But being the fastest of the three is a HUGE advantage when he's running away from his lers. (Which usually are Tendonman and Kamameshidon)

-When he's noticed that Tendonman and Kamameshidon was about to attack him, he tried talking it out to them (which didn't work), so he goes on full "I'm fast as f*ck boy" mode and immediately run like his life is depends on it. Unfortunately for him, the other two manage to catch him and pin him down while he began to pleas for mercy. (which again didn't work)

-His worst spots are his neck, hips, feet and thighs.

-Tendonman and Kamameshidon likes to blow air on his neck cause him to squeak. Absolutely can't STAND tickle bites or raspberries, especially against his neck. Squeezing his thighs or hips will also kill him.

-If tickled long enough, he'll start letting out snorts in between laughter. (which he's very embarrassed about while the other two think it's adorable).

-But when he's in the ler position?

-Oh let me tell ya, he is downright terrifying.

-Loves teasing his friends by wiggling his fingers infront of them and sending into a flustered state before charging at them.

-He also loved to pull out that “coochie coochie coo” sh*t whenever he tickle his friends. The other two absolutely hate him for it cause it make the tickling worse.

-So I say he's a lee leaning switch.

Kamameshidon:

-While being the least ticklish person of the trio, that doesn't mean he doesn't have ticklish spots that completely drives him crazy.

-He confidently believes that he's the tickle monster and a 100% ler due to him being the strongest out of the Donburi trio and his lack of ticklish spots.

-Oh how wrong he was when the other two manage to pin him down and destroying his newly-found reputation like it's nothing.

-Kamameshidon then realized that he's more ticklish than he thought.

-His worst spots are his ribs, armpits, and sides.

-There was this one time in the forest where Tendonman raised and pin his arms up while Katsudonman began teasing him by counting his bones on his ribs. It tickled Kamameshidon so bad that his screaming laughter echoed and shaked the entire forest.

-Also, Anpanman happened to go patrolled by that forest and when he heard Kamameshidon's scream, he immediately rushed in thinking that someone's in danger only to be met by the awkward situation with Katsudonman and Tendonman tickling Kamameshidon and him pleas for Anpanman to help. Anpanman then awkwardly flied away cause he has no idea how to handle this situation.

-After that, Kamameshidon in return gave the other two one of the most intense chases they ever had in their lifes. Fortunately, he got them afterwards.

-He still kinda mad at Anpanman for leaving him in the dust.

YOU JUST KEEP COMING BACK WITH THE BEST ANPANMAN TICKLE CONTENT IVE EVER SEEN

You have no idea how much I loved reading this because the donburi men are some of my favorite Anpanman characters. Tendonman definitely has a ticklish tummy,, that’s so cute AUGH

Tendonman is the only donburi person to have a mother on the show so I really like the raspberry headcanon. I feel like his mom raspberried his belly when he was little and that encouraged the other two to give him raspberries when they found out that embarrassing fact.

I have a little headcanon of my own that tendonman pokes or scrapes his lees with his chopsticks and it tickles a lot.

Totally agreeing with you on the weak katsudonman hc. He is definitely physically the weakest and that’s partially canon because he seems to go down a lot quicker than everyone else. I will admit… i am a bit partial to katsudonman when it comes to the donburimen. He’s my favorite one but only by a little bit. So I see him getting tickled the most and losing the most tickle fights.

However I do think that his raspberries are the worst out of all of them because he has that tickly mustache. (I find your headcanon funny because he’s so sensitive to the lightest touch but has a tickly mustache on his face hehehe, he is the ultimate tickle weapon but he’s so ticklish!)

I might have to disagree with you on the kamameshidon hc. I feel like he is as ticklish as the others. I actually think he’s the only donburi man to be tickled canonically. It wasn’t even in the show, either, it was a live costume performance. But he was adorable squirming and giggling the way he was.

I love your loud tickle-laugh headcanon for him as well. He definitely wheezes and cackles when it comes to tickles.

To be honest I see the donburi men all being the same amount of ticklish, but you have to tickle them in different ways to get them to laugh. In my hc Katsudonman definitely likes light tickles most, tendonman needs fast tickles, and Kamameshidon needs rough tickles. And they all have different tickle spots too. But either way I feel like they’re all equally ticklish 💕💕💕

I love this so much i wish the donburi men got tickled in the show. Maybe they have and I just haven’t found the episode yet, but I haven’t found any tickle media of them. Katsudonman’s little brother, tamagodonman, got tickled one time in the show (episode: komusubiman and tamagodonman) and Kamameshidon got tickled that one time but it was a live show. But that’s it. I CRAVE TICKLE CONTENT OF THEM

Tamagodonman is an egg donburi, and Katsudonman’s younger kid brother! Tamagodonman is very shy and quiet, especially compared to his showy and confident brother, and because he usually messes up in cooking he has very low self esteem. Katsudonman tries to encourage him, but this sometimes unintentionally upsets Tamagodonman and makes him cry.

You have any of the edutainment episodes, in particular with members of the main cast other than Baikin or Anpan or primarily focusing on Baikinman and Anpanman but not really anything else just... good old main cast fun? I've just gotten into Anpanman and I've managed to find quite a bit of educational content... In return, I grant you knowledge of the Anpanman book in which it's semi-confirmed breadpeople poop: まいにちうんち！ アンパンマンのえほん 読み聞かせ　飛び出す絵本

most of the educational shorts have some fun parts in them, but they almost all have the main focus be on the educational content. The ones i can recommend the most that have a larger amount of interesting character stuff are the 2 アンパンマンとおやくそく (Anpanman to Oyakusoku) shorts, which involve Anpanman and Baikinman (plus an occasional other member of the main cast and several guest characters) interacting with the human world, and has a lot of fun parts like Baikinman getting lost in the mall, a (imagined) bit of Anpanman and Baikinman being a baby Katsudonman’s parents, going to a restaurant together, and a bunch of other daily life stuff! If you put the title in a search engine it should show you uploads of both of them on dailymotion!

The birthday dvd series is also pretty good, each focusing on a different pair of guest characters birthdays, but so far i only have one of them and the rest aren’t available to be watched online at this point.

And thank you for telling me about this book, it’s good to have this detail about them confirmed hahahaha

Nightmare Makers: Meet the Staff and Cast of the "Junji Ito Collection" Anime!

  When it comes to the one man in Japan responsible for most of our anime and manga nightmare fuel, we have his name: Junji Ito. Heck, his name is on the show. We're well versed in his strangeness when it comes to spiral cities, demon planets, and whatever the heck was going on in Amigara Fault.

  But bringing his gruesome visions to life takes an entire team of creators. Getting his trademark style tone-perfect meant hard work from character designers, animators, directors, voice actors, and composers. So who's to thank for translating his work into our Friday nightmares here on Crunchyroll? You might be surprised at their backgrounds!

  Shinobu Tagashira - Making It Happen

The first tricky bit about adapting anything by Junji Ito is the art. His style is unmistakable, and translating it into a moving format was going to be difficult.

  Fortunately, director Shinobu Tagashira was on the case. She's designed monsters for Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, and has animated and storyboarded on projects ranging from Mr. Osomatsu to Nurse Angel Ririka. Notably, she was also the character designer for Is This a Zombie? Tagashira pulls double duty as both director and character designer and took it upon herself to create designs that were both recognizable as Ito's artwork and easy to animate.

  It doesn't hurt that she's been a fan of Ito's manga since she was a teenager!

  Yuuki Hayashi - Spooky Tunes

A creepy show needs creepy ambient music, and that's why Junji Ito Collection hired the guy who composed for... Kira Kira PreCure a la Mode.

Okay, pulling back, Yuuki Hayashi actually has an impressive and diverse CV. He's scored My Hero Academia, Haikyuu!!, Gundam Build Fighters, Robotics;Notes, Welcome to the Ballroom, and Death Parade, just to name a few. His work is impressively diverse, from the cheerful and heroic tunes of action series to the lonely and introspective vocal lines of horror anime.

  Considering this anthology series goes for works all across Ito's history, that means Hayashi gets to continue to show that range. Some episodes are frantic slasher flick style, others are sad and introspective. The range really shows.

  The Pinballs - Writhing in Agony

The weirdly jazzy "Writhing in Agony Blues" manages to be both upbeat and shockingly appropriate for Junji Ito Collection. For that, we can thank the four-person band The Pinballs, who formed in 2006.

  The group also composed the rockin' "Gekijou Shihainin no Theme," the third ending to Ninja Slayer from Animation.

  JYOCHO - Something Softer

Each episode's ending is surprisingly sweet or silly, with a calm ending theme provided by JYOCHO. The five-person group released their first minidisc late in 2016, and their ending theme "Mutual Universe" is their first venture into the world of anime. But we're looking forward to hearing much more of them in the future!

  Yuji Mitsuya - Souichi

Souichi, the recurring malicious schoolkid always ready to unleash a cavalcade of curses, is voiced by a 63-year-old man. So, there's that.

  More importantly, it's Yuji Mitsuya, a voice actor you're sure to know by ear if not by name. Over his extensive career he's appeared as Virgo Shaka in Saint Seiya, Tofu-sensei in Ranma 1/2, Marg in God Mars, Katsudonman in Anpanman, and Pica in One Piece. And he was the first male voice of Popuko in this season's Pop Team Epic. 

  So far, Souichi has appeared in the series twice. Will we get one more visit before it's all over?

  Mami Koyama - The Fashion Model

Speaking of long-time greats, Mami Koyama had a single-episode turn as Ito's bloodthirsty Fashion Model.

  Don't recognize the name? You'll have heard her, trust us. She's been Arale in Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball, Balalaika in Black Lagoon, Big Mom in One Piece, Punie's ex-magical-girl mother in Dai Mahou Touge, Kei in Akira, Miki in City Hunter, Minky Momo, Maris... you get the idea. She's got a heck of a career. And her appearance as the hideous, dagger-toothed Fuchi was one for the books -- even if it was only for half an episode.

  Rie Suegara - Tomie(s)

  We may not have seen any Tomies on our screen yet, but we also know it's only a matter of time. When she arrives, Rie Suegara will be the one providing her voice.

  The IDOLM@STER Million Live! players will have encountered Suegara as the voice of Toyokawa Fuuka, but that's not the only place you can hear her. She's currently appearing in this seasons Maerchen Maedchen as Shizuka Tsuchimikado. She's also played Takami in Brave Witches, Yui Komori in two seasons of Diabolik Lovers, and Tewaku in D.Gray-man Hallow.

So what can we expect from her as the wickedly beautiful Tomie? Only time will tell.

Nice to finally be drawing these guys in 100% fullness, because the Donburiman Trio still remain my favorite Anpanman characters. XD It was really fun to draw them with my current design work! I based a lot of their design on my first drawing of them from ages ago, but freshened them up better.
