Oh oh oh! And I’d like to know the reason you choose the faceclaims you choose for your main ofc’s! 😍

So, picking out my face claims is really the longest process in the world, because first I have to think of what my ofc will be like personality wise, important characteristics of her and then I can find a great faceclaim for my ofc's.

Because my ass is obsessed with K-Pop (surprise surprise), I naturally gravitate towards choosing a female idol, mostly because if I want to make edits, I have tons of pictures to choose from.

Be ready for a long long LONG explanation:

The reason I chose Irene (Red Velvet) for Darcie Angel, was because when I was looking for a picture as a front cover for my first fan fiction (one cappuccino and a chocolate brownie please), I found a picture of her sipping some coffee, which seemed fitting for the entire story.

I chose Seulgi (Red Velvet) for Sandy Choi, because Sandy loved to dance and there are tons of dance videos of the queen of dance Seulgi.

I don’t really remember why I chose Wendy as Adelaide Park, but it was a good match, because her face really fitted the story.

Jessica Jung (former SNSD) was the perfect face claim for Amelia Jung (yes, I borrowed a surname here), because she has truly been a Kpop idol, like Amelia was in the story.

When I was looking for a face claim for Becky Kim for Sugar Sugar, I accidentally found Naeun from Apink—a group I didn’t even stan. However her natural beauty, combined with this expensive vibe (does that make sense? It does in my mind lol) made her perfect for a future sugar baby.

I chose Lee Hyori (former fin.x.l) for Natalie Lee Bennett of It’s a funny story, because there are tons of pictures of her from her younger days and her now, making it a better fit for the story structure itself.

YooA from Oh My Girl! was an easy choice, because Penny Townsend in the story is very innocent, adorable and I wanted that to be prevalent in her looks. YooA's doll like features were really what I was looking for.

Because I was going back to enjoy SNSD’s amazing songs, my eye was immediately pulled towards Sooyoung, who is an absolute babe. Her beauty, her height and just the vibe I get from her through interviews, felt like a perfect match for Rosemary Hill.

Ever After Boutique is all about fashion and to me Jennie from Blackpink is one of the queens of fashion, so choosing her to represent Frankee Newhouse felt only natural.

Because Ivy Sullivan in Oblivious is a sporty type of girl, I kept looking for a sporty photoshoot with an idol and I saw Solar, who is nowadays on such a fitness journey, which seemed fitting.

Hyuna (former 4Minute, TripleH and what not lol) was a great idea for Luna in the story Caught in a Blizzard. I used her former group 4Minute as a faceclaim for the girl group in the story and because Hyuna is such an icon, she felt perfect for Luna.

Victoria Song (who portrays Winnie Monroe in Serendipity) is the only Chinese girl on the list of Kpop idols and her being adopted from China is a part of her character arc. Because I actually thought of making a trailer for this and Victoria has played in tons of dramas, making it easier for me to use footage, but I ended up not doing it.

For the other stories, I didn’t use Kpop idols. For Olivia Tran I used Naomi Roestel (Vietnamese influencer) for the face claim, because she just seemed so fitting for the story. For Protection and Eunoia (and my new story Chasing Nostalgia with a girl named Leilani - coming up January 8th!) I used art breeder (I honestly hate the name, but it’s such an amazing site), because I specifically wanted an Indonesian/Moluccan OFC and it was very hard to find the right face online.

I had a few women in mind for Alice Matsuda, but decided not to go for it, because I wanted the story to revolve around her diary entries and not her looks.

Is there anything you wish people noticed about your fics that doesn't get commented on very often?

That’s a good question. Let me start off by saying I love every comment (coherent, incoherent, a shit ton of emoji’s or gifs, a sentence that says it all or very detailed comments). However, sometimes I have put something significant in it (a joke, a nice description, a certain character arc, something like that) and I really want to talk about it, but then people don't seem to notice.

I hope that 2022 people feel free enough to fangirl about my stories with me (anon or not), because a comment doesn't cost anything, but it does make my day/week/year. So please, bother me, other writers on this site with comments, questions and incoherent fangirling, because we love that 😘

Darcie: We’re all doing great, thank you so much for asking! My parents are loving their retirement, the kids love going to school and Oreo and Plagg are the cutest dogs alive.

John: The cafe is also going well. We have decided to buy the place next to it and turn it into a bigger and lovelier cafe than it already was.

Darcie: Just so you know, I had nothing to do with that. That was all you and Raye.

John: But do you love it?

Darcie: Yes, I love the place

John: Besides, we’ve turned part of the cafe into a a second house. Because we bought the place next to it, we have a lot more room for storage in the back, expanding the kitchen, more people can be seated and we bought a new espresso machine for better coffee.

Darcie: Again, that was all you. Really, you have to give yourself credit for it, John. You were the one that thought about the kids and the dogs and my parents to have a spot in the back, so it would turn into some sort of second house.

Hello! Congrats on your milestone❤️ I would like to ask: do your ofc have tattoos? If so, which ones and if not, which ones would they like?

Owh thank you so much! This is such a fun question and do I have the longest answer for you ever hahaha

There is one ofc that definitely has tattoos (it was a major part of the story) and that is the lovely Olivia Tran of ‘Mister Cavill, your dog is kinda fat’. She has tattoos of flowers and the name of her children. I was heavily inspired by the tattoos of nonnoetattoo (check out their instagram page - insanely talented and I want these types of tattoos) and they fit Olivia’s aesthetic so much.

For my other ofc’s, though I never stated it in the story, I know Luna Hwang of Caught in a Blizzard and Rosemary Hill of It all started in San Antonio definitely have tattoos. While Luna’s are probably more on the random side, Rosemary has only one and it's meaningful: either with the name of her late husband Brandon or the date he is deceased. Rosemary is a more emotional person, so she’d probably have a meaningful/sentimental one.

For my other OFC’s, I don’t think they would have tattoos, because:

Darcie Angel likes tattoos on men, but not on herself.

Sandy Choi isn’t really into tattoos, just like Adelaide Park.

I feel like since Amelia Jung used to be a Kpop idol and the standards are crazy strict and she was the visual. I think that made a deep impact on her and she’d still hear the voices of the managers, telling her to not do any body modifications like piercings and tattoos.

Both Mia Makaruku and Winnie Monroe are too indecisive to have a tattoo, because they'll love something one minute and totally gonna regret it later on.

Becky Kim is not the type of girl who’d get a tattoo, however does appreciate the beauty and the artistic value of it.

Penny Townsend is afraid of needles.

Frankee Newhouse would get a tattoo, but probably temporary ones, so they could fit her outfit. Since she likes to spice up her aesthetic every now and then, she definitely doesn’t want her tattoos to mismatch.

Ivy Sullivan does not have to patience for either thinking of a tattoo, let alone sitting in a chair for a long amount of time.

Alice Matsuda just doesn’t really like it (and is secretly afraid of needles, but won’t tell you).

Quinn from Eunoia probably doesn’t want them, because to her, tattoos mean memories, which she doesn’t have.

My newest OFC (whose name is Leilani - and also, the master list comes out in two days! Can’t wait for you guys to read Chasing Nostalgia hihi) would probably have tattoos, but with her profession, she decides to wait a little longer, until she has switched careers again 👀👀👀

Is there a chance Bucky will invite his friends to meet the Monroes? And if how and when and who actually is invited and who invites themselves and what's everyone's reactions to the bunch that is the Monroes?

Thirdly: Winnie and Bucky are indeed getting a puppy!!! FUCKING EXCITING! (also, if you want to know where the idea of them getting a puppy came from: read this Christmas story)

Bucky is currently very invested in finding the son of a bitch who left the cute Mister Sheffield all alone, however he has promised both Leo and Winnie he would not harm anyone, because those days are over.

However, there are promises in the world that can be broken and i fear this one will be one

Because Winnie is super duper extra, there will be a revealing party for mister Sheffield to the Monroes (and this is very special because they are the first of the bunch to get a pet that does not live in a bowl or cage)

I'm not sure who invites themselves or is invited (as the Marvel people are not quite there in the story), however I do believe if Steve and Sam were part of this Serendipity universe, Steve would wait for an invitation and Sam would invite himself to meet the Monroes lol

Besides, knowing Bucky, he'd probably slowly introduce them to the Monroes, because all at once can be overwhelming. He is however dead set on letting the friends meet Leo (who, if Steve Rogers was part of the universe, would also know Steve Rogers), Winnie of course, her parents and Thomas, because that kid is glued to Winnie's side!

I personally feel like my characters would totally hit it off and be total besties. I kinda find it kinda hard to just pick two, but I feel like I can make amazing friend groups with people who would totally be besties.

I think Darcie Angel (one cappuccino and a chocolate brownie, please), Sandy Choi (So Henry, you want to start a YouTube channel), Adelaide Park (The Alluring charm of Henry Cavill) and Amelia Jung (Coach Cavill) would totally become bff’s at first sight. They’re all calm, but a lot of fun to be around with.

Another friend group would become total besties, but also become total chaos because Winnie Monroe (Serendipity), Mia Makaruku (Protection) and Ivy Sullivan (Oblivious) would be ABSOLUTE CHAOS, DESTRUCTION AND WHAT NOT—but we love a chaotic group of friends.

A group of friends that would never ever work out is if you put Frankee Jane Newhouse, August Walker and Syverson (the one I have in mind for Oblivious), because they’d probably kill one another. No, I’m sure they would, because that much sarcasm, pessimism and all in one room is fatal.

Hi!! For its a funny story: what was your inspiration behind the face claims you chose? 🥰

Because I wanted to make a trailer (check it out right here) for this story, I needed to have faceclaims of people, where I could find a lot of footage.

Early 2000s Henry Cavill started the entirety of this story and I used that one picture of him where he looks like Prince Eric as inspiration and interviews from the early 2000s.

Lee Hyori is a queen in the K-Pop world and after I discovered her (way too late) when she participated in this program where the Refund Sisters were created (together with Uhm Junghwa, Jessi and Hwasa) and after listening to both Don't Touch Me and Play that summer (with this other group SSAK3), I realized she was perfect to be the faceclaim of Natalie Lee Bennett.

Devon Aoki has such a lovely resting bitch face and because she was in a movie called D.E.B.S (I still need to watch it, but it looks so amazing from the trailers and scenes I watched), meant I had tons of footage to use for the trailer

Linda Cardellini remains such a girl crush (she’s so fucking beautiful) and thanks to her appearance in Freaks and Geeks (also haven't watched it, but okay), I had a lot of footage that would fit the character of Morgan Rossi.

Tyler Wilson is a very special guy, very hyper, very out there guy and who fits that roll better than Will Smith in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air?
