Hello, I want to ask some quick questions, I hope you don't mind. How long does your Macbook Air last when only using it to write/browse and without watching videos or playing music? Also, does the shallow keytravel, alongside other problems with Macbook keyboards, not impede your productivity or stress you out? Thanks!
Hi, there! No problem. I'd say my battery probably lasts me around 9 ish hours, but my Macbook is about 3 years old, so the battery isn't in top form.
I've never had a problem with the keyboard. In fact, it's my favorite keyboard of any laptop I've used before (and I've had multiple Windows laptops in my life ranging from HP to Acer, ASUS, Toshiba, etc.). It's super comfortable for writing because of how responsive it is. If there's one thing I hate, it's having to bang on a keyboard to get it to write. Typing on a Macbook Air is effortless. I can't speak about the Macbook Pro because I don't really know much about that, but the Macbook Air keyboard has always been great for me and I love it.
I want to give a disclaimer that I'm not an Apple fangirl because it seems like anytime anyone claims they like an Apple product, that's what they get labeled as these days before being told their opinion isn't valid lol. I have an Android phone, have had Windows computers, and love tech, so when I say I love my Macbook Air and that it's served me better than any other laptop I've ever had, I mean it as someone who sits on their computer a lot and has tried a lot of different laptops. For the purposes for which I need a laptop -- a Macbook has been perfect. I have never once complained about my computer since the day I got it, which is something I could not say about HP laptops for example lol. There's a reason my grad school lets students rent Macbook Pros and the university provides iMacs for us to work on in the computer labs and library -- they're great computers for writers and students.
It depends on what your needs are though. If you need a lot of storage, plan to be gaming a lot, etc., then obviously a Macbook isn't the right fit. I hope that answers the question!
Best of luck!

hey dude should i get a buckling spring keyboard
YES. i’m sure you’ve already done your reading all over the place before committing, but i gotta say. the keytravel is incredibly smooth. it’s got a short and sharp tactile bump but the bump itself has a low resistance. it also occurs lower down the key travel, which i find very desirable. the weighting might be a little bit stiff for your tastes at first but once you get used to it, it’s hard to migrate back to any other clicky switch in my opinion. the sound is absolutely unmatched by anything except for maybe complicated ALPS switches. i promise you it will last you a long long long while too. a decade in mint keyfeel and decades more of perfect operability.
one thing to note though is it has a low key rollover if you’re going with a membrane buckling spring keyboard like the Model M which is most likely the case because Model Fs (that have PCBs and inherent n-key rollover) are astronomically expensive. it usually is not a problem at all, but only sometimes some keys on the leftmost cluster don’t register properly when holding the left shift key because of the clash between this limitation and my typing style.

Does Delta offer Humanitarian AirFare?
Humanitarian airfares are offered by travel companies for missionaries or humanitarians who need urgent flights to remote destinations, laden with risks. Airlines that offer humanitarian airfare are numerous and include American Airlines, British Airways, KLM, Air France, Lufthansa, Emirates, Air Canada, etc. Delta Airlines also offers humanitarian fares for domestic and international travel.
Flight ticket bookings under the Humanitarian Airfare program, entitle you to avail secure travel with no minimum or maximum stays. You are also allowed to change flight dates as there is enough room for flexibility. Not-for-profit organizations like NGOs can make these bookings for one or multiple passengers. The only catch is that to avail humanitarian flight fare services you need to produce an ID or a certificate/letter from your organization. Humanitarian flight allows free excess baggage and multiple changes to your itinerary.
American Airlines lets you cancel your flight penalty-free till 24 hours before the departure time of the flight. Delta airline' missionary fares allow you to make delta flight reservations at lower costs. Apart from these discounted fares, you can also avail of low cancellation costs when you choose to fly at humanitarian airfares. By calling an agent, you can book cheap Delta flights and know more about the company rules as not all airlines offer humanitarian fares. Not all airlines would have the same policies regarding Humanitarian flights. KeyTravel, FlyforGood, Siama, etc. are travel websites that can help you arrange flights for selfless good of humanity. Apart from cheaper airfares that can help you save up to 30% or more on flight ticket bookings, humanitarian airplane rides can have a validity of up to a year. You can enquire more about Humanitarian airfares or make/cancel a flight reservation by calling us on +18002014791.
Changes to your seat booking can also be made easier as companies have 24-hour support services that allow you to make a designated number of changes to your itinerary. Seat change fee might even be reduced or waived off for humanitarian flights. Unlike regular flight tickets, Humanitarian flights do not keep on increasing in price like regular flights, where the airfare keeps increasing as you book closer to the scheduled date of flight departure. Bookings on planes offering humanitarian services mostly allow you to carry one additional baggage, up-to 3 bags in total. Humanitarian flights thus help non-profit organizations save money while providing members or employees supporting the noble cause with a safe and secure travel experience.

The 2017 Macbook Pro
I recently replaced my aging 2011 Macbook Air with one of the current generation Macbook Pros, and thought I’d write about my experience so far.
Aesthetics and Hardware
I feel like I have to start with the appearance: the machine is physically gorgeous. With the space grey color option, at a distance the laptop does give the impression of a single piece of slate since compared to the Air, it doesn't slope in thinness away from the hinge. The grey color is quite a bit darker in person than pictures would have you believe, and the overall effect is quite nice.
Portability was one of the main reasons I opted for this model: compared to the 2011 Air, this generation of Macbook Pro is physically smaller in height and width and almost exactly the same weight, while being a much more capable computer. It feels lightweight but a little more solid than the Air does, presumably due to the uniform thickness throughout.
Much has been made of the new keyboard, and it does feel to me like an improvement over the Air's keyboard. At home my laptops spend most of their time plugged into a Thunderbolt display and paired to a bluetooth keyboard; the keyboard on the new Macbook Pro feels a lot like the Apple bluetooth keyboard but a little smoother with a more pronounced "click" feel on the keypress. I find it to be perfectly fine to type on despite the shorter keytravel than a "real" keyboard.
The Pro has twice as many USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports as the Macbook (no suffix), which of course means only two. In principle I like that there's just a single type of port but between the power adapter and the Thunderbolt display there are no free ports, in case I needed to plug in a USB drive or non-bluetooth keyboard. Thankfully, the Thunderbolt display has itself a wealth of ports and with a Thunderbolt 3-to-2 adapter, everything seems to work fine so far.
Performance
My old Air, while still in many ways a perfectly usable machine, had been slowly declining in battery performance for years, to the point that I typically would average about an hour and a half of charge when not plugged in on an average workload. As to be expected, the new Pro has not disappointed in battery performance yet, but I also haven't kept it on battery power for an extented amount of time yet.
Another even more irritating issue with my Air was that the trackpad no longer correctly registered clicks with "normal" amounts of pressure, and I'm pretty sure the ache in my hands as of the last few months is mainly due to the violence with which I have to jab my finger in order to register a click. The new Pro replaces the old style trackpad with Apple's new Force Touch mechanism, which does away with an actual physical click.
I am not really a big fan of force touch on my iPhone, but it works just fine on the laptop without having to apply undue pressure and all of the normal multi-touch gestures I use thankfully still work as they did on the older machine.
Finally, the Air usually struggeld to drive the Thunderbolt display for extended periods due to its lower-performing hardware, but that has always been a tradeoff I was willing to make. The Pro handles the task admirably and running Spotify, multiple browsers, VS Code, and even Youtube video playback don't seem to give it any issues. Video playback specifically would cause the the Air to heat up and the CPU fans to go nuts, and this is thankfully not an issue at all with the newer machine.
So far, the laptop has been a worthy successor to my Air in every way: it manages to tick my boxes for portability while being a much more powerful machine, and it looks really nice as well.
