Chennai to Goa Road trip with Family
Note: I am not a professional blogger, this is my first blog. Please ignore any errors or mistakes.
Intro:
Before starting the road trip, i did some search & had a skeleton plan. It is like Going from Chennai - Banglore -Subramanya / Sringeri / Hornadu / Udupi / Murudeshwar / Gokarna / Nippili falls / Jog Falls / Vibuthi falls / Dudhsagar falls / Goa - Banglore - Chennai.
If you notice in the above plan, only chennai - banglore & banglore - chennai is fixed route. Apart from this nothing else is planned or booked. This is because, my brother is there in Banglore, so i kept Banglore as my base.
We (I, My Wife, my mother, my mother in law & 2 kids (7 & 3 Yrs old) started for this wonderful year end trip. I asked them to pack things for 8 to 9 days but did not reveal my plan except Banglore & Subramanya.
I used to browse daily night about next day’s places of interest & prepare a mini  plan for next day.
Day 1 - Thr (23rd Dec, 2021) - Chennai to Banglore (350 Kms - 6.5 Hrs )
We started from my home by 8.30 AM after breakfast. Drove towards Banglore for 4 Hours. Had our first break near Krishnagiri in a Gas station. We refreshed ourselves, had our parceled lunch (Veg Pulav, Raitha & chips). After spending one hour, we continued with our journey & reached my Brother’s house in Banglore by 4 PM. Enjoyed the rest of the day there, had dinner & retired for the day. I had asked my family members to get ready by 5 AM.
Day 2 - Fri (24th Dec, 2021) - Banglore to Subramanya (290 Kms - 6 Hours)
We started early from Banglore by 5.30 AM towards Subramanya after filling Diesel to our car. After exiting from Hassan Highway at Chennarayapattna, we had our first break (around 8.30AM) for breakfast in a road side shop. We ordered  Idly, Vada & Poori. Some random guy, who was passing near us, stopped & started a small conversation in Tamil after seeing our TN registered vehicle. Are you going on a tour or going to any specific place. I said, we are on a tour & going to Subramanya temple. He said, you should also go to Dharmasthala (Temple for Shiva), a very good pilgrim place. We finished our Breakfast then continued our drive towards Subramanya. We stopped enroute at Bisle viewpoint, then we reached Subramanya by 12.15 Hours, Parked our vehicle & went for Dharshan. After good Dharshan, we had  lunch feast at temple which was very good.
As per initial plan, we were planned to go to Sringeri. I checked the google maps for Sringeri, it showed two routes, one goes via Bajagoli (160 Kms - 3.45 Hrs) & another via Dharmasthala, Ujire (156 Kms - 3:50 Hrs). I chose the 2nd route, since it was going via Dharmasthala.
Subramanya to Dharmasthala ( 54 Kms - 1:15 Hrs)
Started around 3 PM from Subramanya & reached Dharmasthala by 4 PM. Dharshan opens only by 5 PM, we went & sat in queue by 4:15 itself & completed our dharshan by 5: 15 PM.
Dharmasthala to Sringeri (104 Kms - 2:30 Hrs)
Started around 5:30 PM towards Sringeri. This is completely a ghat road crossing a reserve forest. When we arrived at the Kuduremukha Forest check post around 7 PM, they entered our vehicle details, mobile number, no of persons travelling & gave a Card with QR code in it & asked us to submit it in the next gate & also said Max speed limit is 40 KMs/Hr. Only at this moment i realised i am going to go through a dense forest area. This forest road is very narrow, width only to accomodate two vehicles, no shoulder area in either side of the road. It was fully dark, no lights anywhere. This journey was a bit scary, since not many vehicles were coming  in either direction. We were driving all alone, no company, no street lights, nothing. We reached the Tanikodu Forest checkpost, handed the card & continued our journey to Sringeri. We reached Sringeri by 8:30 PM. Had dharshan & dinner at temple premise.
At 10 PM, we could not get accomodation in devasthanam rooms, but got a decent room in front of temple itself & retired for the day there.
Day 3 Sat - 25th Dec, 2021 Sringeri to Udupi (100 Kms - 2:30 Hrs)
Started our day by 8:30 AM from Sringeri. I had planned to go to Kaapu beach, hence took the same forest route & crossed it (Had breakfast at Nisarga restaurant at entry checkpost). While driving noticed a board to one of the falls, went to the starting point of that falls trail (some 300 steps), but forest department said it is only for sight seeing & cannot get to the waters as it is deep. So dropped that & contiinued to Kaapu beach. Midway through the journey, realised that we would reach that beach around 12 Noon & changed the map to Udupi directly. Went to Krishna temple, parked vehicle opposite to North entrance & directly went to Free darshan queue. Had a very good Dharshan & went for temple lunch. Got an accomodation in Yatri Nivas within temple premise itself. Rested in the room for an hour.
Started at 4 PM  for Malpe beach, Kids played in beach sand for a while. Went for the queue to St Mary’s Island. But entry was closed just one person before me in the queue as the boat capacity was only 125 & he had already counted those numbers & asked me to come next day morning 9 AM. We went to sea walk there saw the sun set, spent the rest of the evening there & returned back to Udupi temple. Went for evening dharshan & then finished our awesome dinner at temple & retired in the room for the day.
Note: Had a discussion with one of my friend from Chikmagalur, he asked me not to skip St Mary Island & gave a plan to Kollur, Murudeshwar, Gokarna & Goa. While returning asked me to cover Dudhsagar & other places.
Day 4 Sun - 26th Dec, 2021 St Mary Island to Kollur (58 Kms - 1:10 Hrs)
We started from Udupi by 8:30 Am & had our breakfast on the way to Malpe beach, reached St Mary Island by 10 AM by a boat ride of 30 minutes (Rs 300 Per person), We played in the beach water for 2:30 hours. Walked the small island, it was awesome. It was looking completely different from each side. Never seen such a beautiful beach in my life (I think, i will definitely go there again). Had lunch at a only shop available in the Island. It was not so good, but Ok to have something rather than nothing.
We were discussing that we are glad that did not get tickets yesterday evening as we would not have enough time to see the beauty of this Island.
Important Note: Please plan to go this place on Saturday or Sunday, otherwise you get only max of 1 hour there.
We reached back Malpe beach in the same boat around 3 PM.
Malpe beach to Kollur (58 Kms - 1:10 Hrs)
We started our journey from Malpe beach towards Kollur Mookambika temple. Reached the temple around 4:30 PM, directly went to Temple Darshan. Had a good Darshan there. Then went to look for some rooms in temple devasthanam. Luckily we got Devasthanam accomodation there, the rooms was very cheap, neat, clean, with running hot water & lifts. Visited the temple again, had darshan & had an amazing dinner at temple & retired for the day.
Day 5 Mon - 27th Dec, 2021 Kollur to Murudeshwar (72 Kms - 1:25 Mins)
We started at 10:30AM from Kollur after having breakfast in a near by shop towards Murudeshwar. Reached the temple around 12 Noon. Went to queue directly, had a good  dharshan followed by good lunch at temple. Spent some time in the temple after lunch, played in the beach nearby. Then started from there by 3 PM
Murudeshwar to Jog falls (88 Kms - 2 Hrs)
Since we were seeing mostly beaches, i deviated from the plan suggested by my friend to Jog falls instead of going to Gokarna & Goa. So again went to Ghat area to Jog falls. While going through the drive stopped at Sharaavati valley view point & reached jog falls by 5 PM. Visited the other side of the falls, where we can have a view of Roarer falls. Came out & i was enquiring about rooms with a tea / bajji shop there. He a gave a contact who arranged for a superb accomodation in Jog falls itself. We went to other side of Jog falls, had dinner, could’t see anything there as it was very dark. While waiting for dinner, met a guide there who promised us to take to the famous sight seeing spot, top view of Raja & Roarer falls (Kumki song shoot location). We came back to our room by 9 PM & retired there for the day.
Day 6 Tue - 28th Dec, 2021 Jog falls to Vibuthi falls (95 Kms - 2:30 Hrs)
We started early by 7:30 AM from our room to the falls top view. It was breathtaking & unbelievable to see the 2nd tallest falls in India from the top. Spent some 45 mins & reached to our room by 8:30 AM. Vacated our room, spent a good amount of time there & came to Jog falls view point side. Had breakfast there, spent time seeing all the falls from this side.
Started from Jog falls around 10:30 AM, enquired about the route to Nippili falls to some local guys, they said, there is no water in that falls now, so dropped that plan & headed directly towards Vibuthi falls. After driving for 1.5 hours, came across a small village where there was a small road side hotel. I stopped my vehicle & got my veg pulav parceled for lunch. In that Hotel, i saw big banners of Vibuthi falls & next to it, Yana rocks. Then i enquired with them about that too, that person said, both are very good places you should see both. We reached Vibuthi falls at 1:45 PM (the last one km of road was more of gravel), had our lunch, started our walk towards the falls. It is 1 kms walk, will take 20 minutes to reach the falls. As you near the falls, the sound of the falls itself was so amazing, i wanted to enter the water as soon i heard that sound. My kids were equally excited. We can get a life jacket for rent of Rs 50. I got one for my wife & one for my kid, we enjoyed in the water for close to 2 hours.  Then started from there by 4:30 PM.
Yana rocks Nature Adventure:
When looked at google maps, Yana rocks was only 3.5 kms from Vibuthi falls, hence decided to see that also. Went as per the direction of google maps, just 2 kms before the destination, saw lot of vehicles parked on both sides of the road. Enquired what is there to see here, one of the tourist said, we have to park our vehicle here & take a jeep ride to get to Yana rocks. So we parked our vehicle & took a jeep ride to the entrance point. That rocks is further 600 meters down trek from the jeep drop point. We saw a huge crowd waiting to come back we get down from the jeep. It was around 5.30 PM. We walked & saw the two giant rocks which are 120 Meters & 90 Meters high monolithic structures. Under the 120 M rock, there is a small cave in which there is shiva temple, we visited it & trekked around the rock. Yana Rocks cannot be explained in words or captured in any cameras. It can only be felt by going there.  It was almost 6.30 PM & we could see only few people coming behind us in the temple. Since it was almost getting dark, we walked faster to the jeep drop point, but there was nobody waiting there & no jeeps were there. we didn't know if there would be any jeep which will come back to pick us back for the parking lot, as there was nobody for company, we (I, my wife & 2 kids) (My mom & in law stayed in the car itself) started to walk those 2 Kms before the forest is completely dark. We were literally running out of fear, luckily we saw a jeep coming towards us, stopped it & got inside of it. It went till the temple this time & picked all the guys who were there & reached parking lot by 7 PM. There were only 2 vehicles excluding ours.
Yana Rocks to Gokarna (48 Kms - 1:15 hrs)
We started immediately after reaching our parking lot, unfortunately our google maps did not work, we came out of that road & got stuck there, not knowing to take either left or right. One car came from the parking lot & i asked them direction for Gokarna, they asked me to take left. I followed them until the next junction, where they stopped and asked for Gokarna route to some folks. I followed them & reached Gokarna safely by 8.30 PM. Went to temple, my family had a good darshan as i was not allowed inside for not wearing a dhoti. We went to Gokarna main beach after dinner. We started to search for accomodation at 9.30 PM. Found a decent room near temple car & retired for the day at 10:30 PM.
Day 7 Wed 29th Dec, 2021 Om Beach to Goa
I had no knowledge about Sri Mahabaleshwara & Maha ganapathi temples before visiting this place, my mom said one of the Gurukkal explained to her in Tamil about its significance inside temple last night, hence I googled to find out more about this temple, this is called as Dhakshina Kashi, it is the only Aatmalinga on earth, there is a mahaganapathi temple next to this temple, in which lord ganasha is in standing position as a small kid (Neve seen  Lord Ganasha like this before, please Google yourself to know the entire Story about this temple..(In short, Ravana got Aatmalinga from Lord Shiva after thapas with a condition that once it is kept on earth, it cannot be moved & he was taking it to Lanka, Lord Ganesha came as a kid & deceived him, & placed it there, Ravanaa was not able to lift it afterwards) had breakfast in nearby restaurant. Went to Om beach which is 7 Kms from Main beach. We played in waters there, beach was good. Came back to our room, vacated the room by Noon, had a good lunch at temple, then started to Goa. We reached Vasco da gama - Baini beach by 5.30 PM, saw sunset from there, great view, my kids played in beach sand, had some snacks, started to Panjim. We reached Panjim by 8.30 PM, drove along the road where there are lot of criuses & casinos. Saw it from our car & went to Miramar beach & spent some time there. We started to Calangute beach from there, we had dinner at a restaurant & reached Candolin beach by 11:30 PM, we started our search for room there, but we could not find for next 1.5 hours. Finally at 1 AM we found an accomodation & retired there for the day.
Day 8 Thr 30th Dec, 2021 Calangute beach, Goa cruise
Started at 9 AM, checked out of our room, had a breakfast in near by Restaurant & went to Calangute beach, it was awesome to see the beach there. There were lot of umbrellas & chairs. we played in beach waters for couple of hours. Had our lunch there & looked for accomodation for that day. After lot of search found a good hotel, but the rates are doubled from last night stay due to New year eve. Took the accomodation near the same beach, went to Aguda fort, had a good sunset view from the Fort, then headed to Cruise ride in Panjim. Had a good view of Goa from the cruise ride. It costs Rs 400 per person for an hour ride in a cruise. There were music, dance  in the AC hall in the curise. After completing it, we had a dinner in a restaurant & went back to Calangute beach. The night setting was completely different to what we witnessed during the day. Night was full of lights, candle light dinner setting facing the beach was awesome, then went to Baga beach, spent some time there & returned to room around 12.30 AM & retired for the day.
Day9 Fri 31st Dec, 2021 Goa to Banglore (610 Kms - 12 Hours)
We checked out from our hotel by 10 AM, had breakfast on the way & started our trip back by 11 AM. We drove for next 3.5 hours, mostly on the Ghat area, full of forest & took a break, hand lunch & quick power nap for 30 minutes in a road side shop. Resume our drive back again at 3.30 PM, & had our next stop at gas station for 15 mins. Then we continued till 8: PM & had our dinner break. Then we reached banglore by 11 PM & retired for the day.
Day 10 Sat 1st Jan, 2022 Banglore to Chennai (350 Kms - 6.5 hours)
After having a good rest for a day, we started from banglore by 5 PM. Drove all the way till 9:30 PM, had our only break for dinner, then reached our home by 11:15 PM.
Conclusion:
Though we could not cover all the planned places (like Dudhsagar falls, Hornadu, kaapu beach), we covered some unplanned places like Yana Rocks, Dharmasthala, Cruise. At the end, it was a very pleasant & memorable trip.

6 Pros of Roadshow Advertising for little Businesses
Tumblr media
For most small business owners, a straightforward and effective thanks to advertise your business is by branding your car. Between custom car window graphics, car magnets, and even full or partial car wraps, many small business owners can put their logo and phone information on their car and switch it into a mobile billboard.
Among the multitude of digital and print advertising methods available for tiny business owners in 2018, the employment of auto advertising won't be exploited anytime soon. As a coffee cost and highly customizable option, many are needing to put their logo on their car. But to avoid complications and roadblocks down the road, it’s important to contemplate the pros and cons before going bushed.
Here are 6 pros of vehicle advertising for little businesses:
The Pros of Branding a Vehicle
1. It’s an Upfront, “One-Time” Cost
Business logo decal on truck.
One of the foremost attractive pros about roadshows vehicle advertisement in Madurai, Chennai your business on your car is that it's a “one time” purchase. Unlike digital ads where you sometimes purchase impressions or conversions every day, this is often something that you simply pay a set price for upfront then chuck it until it has to get replaced.
A vinyl wrap can last around 5 years or more, reckoning on how well it's cared for. Perforated window decals may last 3 years or more with proper installation and care.
On average, it’s estimated that wrapped vehicles get 600-1,000 impressions per mile driven. In large cities and on busy roads, this number is even higher. And while not everyone who sees your brand is your ideal customer, the price to exposure ratio is off the charts.
2. You Don’t should Buy Another Car
Car lot stuffed with cars
While it is smart for a few business owners to induce a wholly separate work vehicle, it should not be the simplest decision for you.
While you will must re-register your car as an advertisement vehicle counting on the state you reside in, doing so would be in our own way to assist you save costs of shopping for a replacement vehicle. you'll always look at buying a second hand fuel efficient car if you actually want to stay your business and private assets separate.
3. you'll be able to Be More Productive
Mom driving kids to soccer practice
Whether you’re driving to the gym or picking your kids up from school, having your logo and getting in touch with information on your car could be a good way to show heads and obtain leads while not on the task.
Realtors, who already drive everywhere to showcase homes, would have the benefit of having the ability to market their name simultaneously. you'll be able to now be more productive and kill two birds with one stone while doing all your everyday driving.
Is Car Advertising Worth It?
With a set cost upfront, little to no maintenance, and constant exposure while on the road, the roadshow advertising agency in Madurai,Chennai is a wonderful method to draw in new customers. The more you're on the road or parked near areas where your ideal customers are, the higher your ROI are going to be.

Sneak Peak
Sneak peek in everyone’s life. How did they feel about the unprecedented pandemic and what have they been up to during the lockdown. Some emotions and feelings we would like to share
Tumblr media
Bharathy Sivan
Tumblr media
Our husbands’ being soldiers, they do not have the option of Work from Home. When they come back home, they are quarantined in a room. But then this is how we, ladies supported each other and quarantined our families as a community with our own volunteered group efforts.
The families of Raksha Nagar decided NOT to step out for at least 45 days. But luckily, we got used to the system and its been continued successfully for the past 3 months.
Even before the lockdown 1.0 was announced our volunteers for main and sub teams were ready. We divided the families into groups (approximately 30-40 members each) according to the location and one member administrate each group through WhatsApp.
We tied up with an agricultural farm and two vegetable vendors.
We convinced and trained the two grocery shops outside the camp and liaisoned with a FMCG dealer & a medical shop owner.
We have ties with Godrej chicken company of Pune who can deliver our order at Nashik.
We started supporting a cold press oil business started recently.
To simplify the process, we ladies discussed the approximate grocery requirement to be stocked up for 45 days for a 4-member family. And created template lists with 4 options.  And the grocery shop packed them for all after their rush hours. We appointed 4 guys as delivery boys. After They door delivered them through the small electric vehicle available in the camp.
Tumblr media
The choices for vegetables, non veg and other perishables are forwarded by the individuals to the WhatsApp administrator, 2 days in advance and she compiles and forwards to the chief coordinator (me). And I Forward it to the farms and shops. We staggered distribution by groups in different days to avoid cluttering and confusions.
The bill copies are sent on WhatsApp and the amount is compiled as an excel sheet and posted in groups. The families are paying it through digital means and send the screen shot on WhatsApp. End of the day the payment from the families are verified and order closed.
It appeared like a chaotic task in first week. There were raised eyebrows that is it going to work? But once the templates are ready and the system of payment got regularised it became a simple and smoother operation.
In fact with group communication, digital  transaction  and door delivery administration in place, we could actually do wonders. We adapted an orphanage which was in struggle without support. The migrant walkers had food collected from our homes group wise. Women turned entrepreneurs by baking cakes and crafting gifts for birthdays as shops were closed. Few prepare food material for long storage with traditional methods and supply everyone on payment.
We share, care and remain happy and safe as a community with just little more efforts on our day today life. It’s is not tough. It just requires an attitude.
Household chaos, cooking for kids, and I have some social responsibilities here as a military wife. I’m in charge of arranging essentials for 300 families, plus my business.
Literally tongues out…!
Saravanan Subramanian
Tumblr media
As it all happened so suddenly, we happened to work from home. I chose to stay in my village, away from the city chaos in pursuit of peace and calm. I moved away from Chennai, went to my small remote village, where I was born. Here no shops, no cars, no bikes, even no small shops available. Entirely agriculture-based village.
After moving away from Chennai, settling in a small village, and continuing to WFH was a massive challenge for me for one month due to inferior internet quality... Later I managed to get a fiber net connection, which was very surprising for me even to find it here.
Due to COVID 19, My Company, Ford India,  planned a massive purchase pipeline, so I am managing my team sitting from this village...
Significant reasons why I moved away from city life-
1)  No worry about social distancing in my village. A very remote place with limited population
2)  In Chennai, after a few days, we need to depend on supermarkets for groceries and vegetables. Here everything is available in the house for the next year or forever.
3)  I am happy that I am spending more days with my parents after my schooling in my village. I was reminiscing all my childhood memories like sleeping on the terrace under the sky, cooking dinner with fresh homegrown vegetables, taking a walk with my kids in the village roads breathing clean air.
Fortunately, I got an opportunity to relive the life I always missed, and that is so close to my heart.

MY INSPIRATION ABYSS
There she stood - with a beaming and powerful smile on her face - honoring our country with that prestigious tiara!
As I watched a recording of this historical moment, my jaw dropped!
The first-ever Indian woman to be crowned Miss Universe (1994); that’s right, the gorgeous Sushmita Sen for you :)
Soon after, Sen adopted not one, but two daughters eventually, and won my (& million others’) respect once again!
And she wouldn’t stop -- a few years later, I joined social media only to learn she is a Yogini. Inspired by her dedication and progress, I took to Yoga in 2018 and became an Internationally Accredited Yoga Instructor and also recognized by the Ayush Ministry, the Government of India.
P.S. I had lost touch with Yoga for a long time, but 2020 and this lady have given me a chance to bounce back and upgrade myself through such beautiful balance poses🙏🏽
You may find more of me and #everydaystories on a yoga-full life at @divyoham_om on Instagram. Because Yoga is for everyone! XOXO

*During the Lockdown*
Well, the lockdown started with numerous things and my effort to inculcate things that I saw on social media. While some people started the so-called 30 Day challenges and posting their workout routines, I was struggling with the basic push-ups. The good part of this is, once you start doing it and do it regularly, you will begin to realize the amount of strength you had in you.
Oh, that new coding language, I was yearning to learn but could never find the time. I finally started and completed the entire learning too. Crazy how a unified and focused effort can bring change in two months. I got into this habit of jotting down things I learned and made sure that I learned at least five new things a day. You will be amazed by the end of the year how to have 2000 new things in your head that you never knew. Good that I started.
This lockdown made me way nearer to myself than I ever was. The path to self-discovery might be different to different people. For me, it was more of accepting myself for who I’m—that feeling of being comfortable in your skin. Sometimes acceptance got me over these body complexes I had, being the skinny guy I’m.
I began to develop habits, specifically, the ones that can be life-changing or something as simple as taking a daily walk in the evening or washing the dishes as soon as you’re done with eating. I began to develop new tastes. Suddenly Jazz felt like never before. I started listening to a lot of Indie music. I came across this band, “That Boy Roby.” The track name was “Lost in Shimla,” and damn, you just can’t help yourself feeling lost in the melody of the guitar. As the name suggests, the track takes you on those untrodden, meandering, mountain tracks of snow-laden Shimla.
Self-discovery took me through a path I had never considered before—the path of getting connected to people you love and care about. I started talking to dad about things we never discussed. I asked him about his memoirs of his old man and how he felt about him, how he felt when mom passed away and what he went through when I was a rebellious teen and started getting into bad habits. He spoke about his youth days and gave me advice about things that I should do in life. Damn, I realized how less I knew about him and how much he loved me.
I went through all my love letters and began pondering about the ups and downs, my wife and I have gone through the last ten years of our relationship. Let me tell you something that I realized, and most men wouldn’t admit. No, not the fact that we are all trash ;) but we put so much effort into winning over someone and return to our own(lazy) selves after we have them in life. Sometimes this awareness is necessary, and it makes you realize that relationships are not a one-time thing, rather a continuous effort to keep things kindled. I learned that sometimes saying “I Love You” in person means much more than writing essays about your never-ending love on social media (funny how we live life and behave everything as if it were a recording to be put in social media and forget about actually living the moment). I began to have more and more of those 2 am conversations. I understood the fact that our lives need not be a long narrative, and it’s best when it’s filled with small random bursts of happiness. To summarize, I started living life again.

I planned to visit my hometown before the lockdown started as I could never have gotten this opportunity to spend so much time with my family and wfh parallelly. I coincidently happened to meet my childhood friends. We were sitting and chatting, and it was appeasing to know how they were contributing to help the small business in Machilipatnam during a difficult time. I immediately joined them in this cause. Five of us found that it was logistically impossible for a  retail business to keep running due to zero movement during the lockdown. It was difficult to generate demand and move stock from one place to another. We created a Facebook business group for a targeted set of audience, mostly local retail businesses. The critical aspect is to have genuine people joining the group for which we allowed only those who had proof of running a retail shop. We added 300 people in the last 15 days. It covered mostly all retail businesses like cement, hotel (food), groceries, professional services, etc. Our place was constantly fluctuating from the RedZone to the orange zone and back to RedZone. The administration was changing rules dynamically. Our Facebook group happened to be one information source for these retailers to know the regulations and amendments announced by the government now and then.
Help is two-folded. it served as a
Channel to provide latest updates on rules and traffic adjustments to the retailers
It is attracting even the customers to the group that would help us to generate demand for the businesses. What was required from the businesses is to publish product rates that have demand.
Once the order is confirmed, we were also helping them to get appropriate permission from the government for the transportations for the goods.
We instantly had 300 businesses registered to this group and saw decent demands coming in too. It is still a small initiative but makes a lot of difference to those small businesses who would die if they do not get some direction during this time. It gives us immense pleasure to become a helping hand to the local businesses that are the strength of our country at this time. Cheers!

Andamans Archipelago Travelogue
Why Andamans?
It had been our passion to visit an island. For a while we had been reading quite a lot of Andamans. The blue, super clean beaches and amazing flora and fauna.
How to reach here ?
By Air : direct flights from Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad ( takes about 2-3 hours)
By Ship : from Kolkata ( takes 5 days ) , Visakhapatnam ( takes 2 days), Chennai ( takes 3 days)
Places To visit in Andaman :
Port Blair : It's going to be the central location of your entire trip to Andamans. Since, it's the only entry and exit point for the A & N group of islands.
Beaches
Collinpur : About 25 Kms from PortBlair, it's awesome, clean, picturesque must visit beach. the best part is very few visit the place to when we where there all we saw were locals so it gave us time to enjoy the beach in solitude.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wandoor Beach : Another beautiful beach in Andamans, excellent place to spend time in the evenings and watch the sunset. The kids can have some awesome fun at the beach with some sand toys.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Corbyn's Cove Beach: A beach to do some decent water sports laze around and have kids enjoy bathing in the water.
Munda Pahad/Chidya Tapu Beach: A beautiful and a must visit place to experience the flora and fauna to Andamans. Trek to the top of munda pahad is a must do activity. The entire route is mesmerising and breath-taking
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Museums/Historical Interest
Samudrika Museum : a good place to understand the history/geography of Andamans. Moreover to see some unseen fishes beautiful fishes. Also, to seem some amazing corals and marine life.
Chatham Saw Mill : Good place for quick short visit if you are with kids to have them understand how are big trees logs converted into different size and shapes of logs
Cellular Jail : the most significant place from a historical standpoint for Andamans. As this was the place where freedom fighters were deported and locked up during the pre-independence era.
Ross Island : The island from where britishers ruled the entire archipelago
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anthropological Museum : Visit this place only if time permits
Water Sports
Scuba/Snorkel/Boat - North Bay Island
Water Scooter- Port Blair Jetty/Corbyn's Cove beach
Local Transport/logistical Help
Gopal Bhai : An excellent local help, he has his rickshaw but helps you set up any local transport for local sight seeing, booking cruise tickets, home stays, light show or any kind of help that you need out in Andamans. He should be your go to guy. An amazing down to earth person who certainly helps setup transport at a nominal cost. (+91-95319 18600 / +91 9933202151)
Charwa : (9474276508,9679520151) : A Local Driver and a very nice guy to take help for airport pickups and drops and visiting near by beaches/places. Super cool guy is very calm guy when it comes to waiting for you while you visit the beaches.
Hotels
Marina Manor, Junglihaat : After a lot of diligence I picked up this hotel. I was not disappointed by them. Following were our reasons :
Centrally located
Excellent and super supportive staff
Very good/clean rooms
The even upgraded my second stay to family suite without any charges.
Made an advance call the night before to check my checkout time and prepared a packed breakfast since I was leaving 6:00 AM next morning.
They good check-in/check-out times aligning with the incoming flight timings
They have a good restaurant to provide good food after a long day out.
Havelock Islands - One of the best and must visit islands and perform any underwater activities. The beaches here are amazingly clean and have clear water. If the weather is good you can also do kayaking and other activities and plan to take a short trek to elephant beach that is also and experience in itself.
How to reach here :
Could cause Nausea & sea sickness
Always keep an additional day between reaching back port blair and leaving from port Blair to avoid problems due to ferry cancellations( which can happen due to bad weather)
Local Transport
Two wheelers ( recommended , if you are a couple/a family with 1 kid )
Auto rickshaws : Biswajit (+91-9531842181/+91-8900909481  ) ( recommended if you are a small family)
Taxis
Beaches
Radhanagar beach (Sunset beach) : One of the most beautiful beaches in the entire Andamans, super clean and beautiful.
Tumblr media
Kalapatthar beach (sunriew beach) : Another beautiful beach and clean sunrises are best experienced here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elephant Beach : Known for the water sport activities that can be done there. There are two routes to reach there one is by the sea other is by foot a small 40-45 minute trek ( which is presumably the best way to reach there)
Underwater activities
Auqa-nomad : we did our Scuba with them, very good and well trained guys. helped us enjoy the scuba well.
Scuba lov ( An outlet at the Sea shell resort) - Interestingly they do snorkel as well. it came in handy as others refused and my 5 year old was adamant on doing it and the due to bad weather the Elephant beach was out of bounds.
Outback resorts - Simple but very well made resort.
Sea Shell Resorts : One of the best beach facing properties on the island. Slightly costlier to the pocket. Good place to stay if you don't plan to step out of the resort a lot.
Places to eat
Cafe Salt water : The best  food  we had on the island
Bonova cafe : excellent food , complemented by live karaoke performance in the evenings
Neil Island : An adjacent island to havelock has a few very beautiful beaches. It has a few good points to visit like the natural rock formation bridge and a laxmanpur beach. You can make a choice to stay at Neil island or just visit in the morning and leave by the evening. If please to do a day tour take a car and the person should take you to place around easily.
Commute :
Car : Vadivel :+91-7063914650/+91-8900904045
North Andamans
Baratang/Diglipur - Limestone cave/Mud volcano
Ross/Smith Island
Travel Tips
The sunrise and sunset in Andamans is very early in the day. The sunrises at around 5-5:15 and sun sets by 4:45 so schedule your visits to the places appropriately plan your day well so that you can visit the beaches in board day light.
Also the weather can be a little tricky once in a while so make sure you carry umbrellas as well as sunscreen lotions.
If you are travelling with kids carry/buy some beach toys for them to enjoy on beaches.
If you enjoy taking photos while on holidays, I would strongly recommend this selfie stick cum tripod : MI Selfie stick tripod
Book your flights at least 3-4 months in advance to get an optimal cost
Best time to visit Andamans in between Nov & February
A good thing that I learnt as a part of this trip is try to look for family rooms which usually has 2 beds, The rooms are spacious and they also make your stay very comfortable at a slightly more cost
Book your cruise and flights well ahead of time so that you don’t have to struggle getting them at the last moment.
My Itinerary :
Day 1 : Portblair - Collinpur & Wandoor beach
Day 2 : Portblair - Ross Island,Corbyns cove beach,chidya tapu
Day 3 : Havelock - Radahanagar beach
Day 4 : Havelock - Scuba & Kalapatthar beach
