a thing about 1815's design that i really had fun with is that his ghostly form is mostly based on his memory & perception of himself, so even though he didn't get his head busted open by the axe that killed him, he DID have an eyebrow scar from a really nasty fight and the memory of that injury was so severe that it's laid open to the brains in ghost form

i like to think in my personal rich fiction that klokateer 1815 gets a lot of praise and held up as an example to everyone else - staying on to work even after death!! - and the band is like wow yeah, wouldn't it be great to have an army of ghosts working for us? and charles is like no. he's actually a terrible worker. he can't touch stuff half the time and death has made him lose most of his sense of boundaries so he keeps floating through walls into restricted areas. i'd have him exorcized if he didn't make for such good propaganda.
