I believe one final coat will do it for this table and one more coat on the underside of these chairs. Crating this should prove quite interesting. And I'll need to come up.with some way to secure the glass top for the table in the crate. I'm thinking a dado in some 1xs to cover the edges and a simple piece of 5mm ply on either side?? Second picture is the inspiration piece. Just like all my pics...they just don’t do it justice, the depth and color of this door looks amazing. All the distressing juxtaposed with a teak oil and urethane finish that looks like it’s been preserved at one point. Here's a short seemingly pointless video...initially I wanted to show how I utilize pivot/cantilever action to move things around the shop..especially these heavy crates. If you're smart, you'll find out all sorts of clever ways to move things around without putting to much stain on yourself physically. So the crate stays where it is as I apply styrofoam around the inside for a snug fit. Everything is glued and screwed so it makes it to the destination and the person tasked with opening the crate inevitably cusses me out 🤣. To move to the truck I use a furniture dolly and my multipurpose utility cart so I'm never actually lifting it. I leave one of the ends not glued until the door is placed in the crate, much easier to place inside that way. Finished my Sunday project after breakfast today🕺🏻 4ft to the left and eight to the right, with dust collection for the router table and several spots to add a gate.
