DCB2: Levels of Learning

Remember: I’ve recalled the Principles of Design which I learned in my AET 306 class.

Understand: I’ve demonstrated my understanding by explaining the Principles of Design on quizzes. 

Apply: I’ve made use of what I’ve learned through different projects and assignments and experimented with different designs. 

Analyze: I’ve analyzed my projects and compared and contrasted them with others’.  

Evaluate: I’ve had peers evaluate and criticize my work to give their opinions. 

Create: I’ve designed and distributed flyers for KRHC events.

krauser is a really sad character. i know people look at him and see someone who is angry or kind of a bastard, sadistic or maybe even just crazy but like, all i see is a really sad guy?

maybe it's because i like peeling back the 'masculinity' or rather, the 'toxic masculinity' of male characters but much like kaz ( & heid but not volgin, lol ) - i just see a man who is sad and defeated and is lashing out.

it's a pride thing.

when a man gets his ego torn slightly and he reacts by lashing out. the trauma and the fear from all of the horrible things throughout the years have turned krauser into a man who is just lashing out and desperate to be seen as 'strong'. he was weakened not only by his arm injury ( so not only physically ) but also mentally by the tragedy of losing his men and experiencing monsters up close.

he was scared. and i think fear for a lot of men who are traditionally raised in that 'men can't cry' environment have this belief that they're not allowed to be scared. they can't be sad or upset or 'weak' and so they react with anger, brutality, sadism. they become 'bullies'.

i don't think krauser is a bully nor do i think he's weak. i just think he's a really tragic character in the sense that he could have been one of the 'good guys' but he essentially let fear win. he let his own shortcomings get the better of him and turn him from a man who genuinely could have done good to a man assisting in the worst evil.

literally all just because he didn't wanna be scared.

#AboutAYearAgo or actually 40, Jason Newman, also known as Brother Ali was born on this day in Madison, Wisconsin but he eventually moved to Michigan this is where he discovered breakdancing graffitti and rapping. When Ali was 13 he met Krs-One who pulled him up onstage and told him to read the autobiography of Malcom X. Ali did read it and this led him to become Muslim. At 15 Ali moved to Minneapolis the city where he would release his demo tape "Rites of Passage" which landed him a deal with the indie label @rhymesayers The demo was produced entirely by Brother Ali himself but for his debut album "Shadows of The Sun" Ali was able to have Ant from Atmosphere produce all of his tracks on the project. Featured on his debut album was the track titled "Forest Whitaker" which he addresses various characteristics about himself which make him different such as the fact he is albino. Ali was born with a rare genetic condition of albinism which is also the reason why he is legally blind.
