yes, i hear you, and yet I think you misunderstand me. I’ve got nothing against anyone that voted a ship out of personal interpretation or preference. That’d be hypocritical since I’m the same. I actually dont like dirkrose either, and yet I’m still voting davekat because the damage theyve caused to the fandom, the comic, their characters as a whole is immense.

Thus my problem is with the self righteous kids who lack any critical thinking and feel the need to justify their vote or harass anyone who ships something they don't like with some kind of virtuous excuse. Voting for dirkrose isn’t owning anybody; it was a joke option that wasn't even feasible in the original comic. But since people were comically denying reality saying that hs2 rose saying “daddy punish me ive been a bad girl” was just family goals or a normal thing a girl would say to her father, it became a meme in this blog, and thus why it was added to the tournament. Why do you think, for example, that brodave isn’t in the tournament instead when most of the fandom hates it?

And anyway, they STILL picked it and then tried to preach about MANIPULATION when they completely dismissed the ACTUALLY CANON, way more obviously manipulative and for far longer abusive (and incestuous too) relationship because it was supposedly the "morally correct option." They can't see how messed up kurlin is, just because it's a popular ship that nobody criticizes despite being the same fucking thing as gamrezi and hitting all the same points they usually cite for a ship to be the worst. And that’s why I fucking hate it, because Kurloz was so good at manipulating, that even the fucking fandom that is so obsessed for preaching against abuse and manipulation, fell for it. And now the same hypocritical dumbasses that think proved something by voting dirkrose, implicitly acknowledge it as a romantic pairing.

“you’re reading too much into it” you might be thinking. And sure, maybe so.

But so are the people that try to imply im homophobic or pro-abuse for voting davekat

kurlin is way fucking worse than davekat.

I just thought of a thing that had happened at Way Station.

So a few of us at the bar were talking, when it somehow lead to Kurloz and Meulin talking to one another in the dream bubble. They didn't realize that when they were doing the signs that it was actually really sped up ASL. I think that's what we were talking about because then I started to talk about my being able to understand what they were saying because I know ASL, so I told them that at one point Kurloz was saying that he was sorry for hurting Meulin and that he still loves her and that's when Meulin uses the "UNSEE" and "FEELS" gifs with the feels boxes falling on top of the guy and falling down the stairs and whatnot. 'Cause she didn't want his apology but she still loved him and she forgave him for making her deaf and stuff like that.

While I was saying all that people looked like they wanted to cry.
