Rambling About Adrien

Adrien in season 4 was awesome

Like the range of emotion he got to show and the development and exploration on his feelings about Ladybug besides his romantic love for her and diving into his feelings about being a puppet for his father and facing his depression and-

Idk I really loved how it wasn't just, "Hey can he move on from ladybug?" It was how crippled his self worth became if she didn't find any use for him which is shown to be unhealthy for everyone involved and how he grew from that.

He says he ONLY has fun with her, one word of praise from her broke him free from guiltrip, he was about to get akumatized solely due to not being allowed to love her, her snapping at him gets him to give up his only freedom from his life and spirals him into depression.

In the beginning you are led to believe these are just more Ladynoir moments, but as the season goes on you start to realize this is beyond his love towards his crush and shows how little faith he truly has as himself and how depressed he really is without his one lifeline.

Marinette although she has her ups and downs, truly believes in her own abilities and confidence which saves her from akumatization. Adrien though? He feels confident and at his best when LADYBUG says so.

Though now he realizes he is more capable than he thinks with encouragement from Marinette :)

Remember how no one could get him out of his funk until he spent the day with Mari

It's cool bc it's not like this puts pressure on Mari to be his anchor, it's her natural compassion for people that lets him be his best self

She doesn't even know how much she's helped him
