"Ugh, pilot Alastor was so much cooler!"

PERSONALLY I like how Alastor is a lot more angry and impulsive and pathetic than we see him in the pilot- gives you a lot more meat to chew on; there's a lot more to explore as a character with these flaws

But honestly he isn't much different imo, the pilot only showed you the best parts of Alastor he WANTS to present himself as (suave, cool, powerful)- since it's a single episode where he's only barely introduced

He's doing a sales pitch the entire time

Having the whole season to explore more sides of him lets you know how his character actually functions, thinks, and feels in the grand scheme of things

I guess some people didn't like what they saw 😭

Ivan is alive because his popularity far exceeded Till's so his fans would be angry if he got killed like that over someone they see as a nobody and remember how Sua died she got a single shot to the head because she was a nobody to the crowd as well meaning it would be ok if she died to them while Ivan is repeatedly shot in different points of his body aside from his head or heart showing they wanted him to stop ruining the performance but wanted to keep him alive so you see Ivan is alive but being kept somewhere to heal so
