It's been awhile since I did the last of these, and I seem to have gained a surprising amount of new followers who I assume have come from that Buddhism and Dungeon Meshi post I wrote which is getting a startling amount of notes.
So. Hi! I'm Bobcat. She/Her pronouns, been going by this nom de net since the early 2000s, and old enough to clearly remember the Clinton administration, so if you're not cool with that or anything else at any point, feel free to unfollow — I don't keep detailed track of followers, and I support wholeheartedly curating your social media experience for maximum joy and minimum rage posting. Also, any transphobes feel especially free to unfollow, since you're probably not gonna have a good time here.
If you haven't gathered yet, my tumblog is a mess of whatever I find interesting/funny/informative. I'm a Jodo-Shinshu Buddhist born and raised, a biology major who's found a way to actually use my education as a government employee who takes the "public servant" part of my job description seriously, and a proud native of my upper Midwestern US state.
I enjoy unironic long walks on the beach, nerding out over ecology, snacking on edible plants during hikes (why yes, I DO vibe with Laios from Dungeon Meshi), Les Miserables, tokusatsu, and baking.
My askbox is always open, so feel free to say "hi!"

im the anon who bitched you out about the laios nyan neko sugar girls parody video description you wrote. i apologize for being a cunt, i was in a shitty mood and it was dumb and weak of me to bring that vibe to your inbox for no good reason. i appreciate your thoughtful and levelheaded response. sorry again brother. thank you for writing post descriptions in the first place and for being committed enough to accuracy to weather my bad attitude.
ah, everyone has bad days... thanks, I really appreciate you coming back to explain things. :)
