Bird warms up. During my college days at Bunker Hill Community College and Northeastern University I worked as a vendor hawking soda, popcorn and ice cream in the crowd at games. When I arrived early and before fans were allowed in the Garden I would watch the players warm up. On this day I was lucky enough to see my favorite player, Larry Bird, take some warmup shots. You can see in this photo even the opposing players liked to watch Larry.

Favorite Player from a Team That’s Not the Lakers

Boston Celtics -

Poop Emoji, of course. As a Lakers fan, I always hated when they would face off against the Celtics. I feared him. I shook in my boots. He was so good. So good.

Okay no for real it's Larry Legend, Larry Bird. I only have sports animosity for the Celtics, IRL I can actually get along with Celtics fans. On vacation at Disney World one time, I was taking a ferry back to the hotel and I got into conversation with this random guy. He was a Celtics fan. I of course, am a Lakers fan. We playfully dogged on each other, but had a real good conversation. It's an admiration/competition really of who is better and there's not another franchise that comes close to winning as these two have.

So mad respect to Larry. Everything I said about Poop Emoji is true for Larry. He was a player to fear as a Lakers fan, really in a way we don't fear other players. Because he was a winner. He's won at everything he's done. College. Player. Coach. President of Basketball Operations. The guy was so good, top 5 player of all time IMO.

I know everyone is saying Emmet should be a faller in the next legends game but you know who’d be fucking hilarious to see get isekai’d? Larry. Imagine you’re walking around ancient lumiose or whatever and you go into a building and he’s doing the accounts there. Same clothes, same personality, but now there’s a bunch of old-timey french people looking at him like he’s an alien. He woke up in a faraway land with no memory of his former life and just decided to get another office job. Just kept on doing his thing. I need to see it
