Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry (2018) When Larry wakes up fresh from the 80’s, he rises into the 21st century, into a new world! For both love and leisure follow Larry as he tries to get to grips with his new surroundings... literally! Larry is back! This point and click adventure is third person and you control Larry’s movement with one stick whilst navigating the interactions with the other. The controls are pretty simple and responsive as you’d expect from a point and click! The story is okay, I really liked some bits and felt let down by others. I loved the way the game paints the 21st century, with some great stereotyping, amazing real life comparisons and it’s depictions of current society! Whilst the game did offer a fair bit of crudeness and rudeness, I didn’t quite feel that it lived up to what I expected from Leisure Suit Larry. I just thought it would have pushed a couple more boundaries and hit a few scenes closer to the knuckle than it did. That being said it was still a fun adventure. The characters are memorable, the story is a good length and there’s plenty to do. One gripe I really had with the game is that I felt they should have added a task menu. There were times when I had untold amounts going on at once and I had to remind myself what I had to do and retrace steps to combine items that were pretty hard to figure out. I felt lost at times and had to persist in order to work out what was going on! A good challenge but I’m not sure it was intended that way! Aside from that and a couple of times when the dialogue didn’t match the in game subtitles the game is an enjoyable adventure and a good return to form for Leisure Suit Larry! For the next one though @assembleteam let’s really raise some eyebrows! Overall, if you’re a fan of Larry, the series or are looking for a mainly chilled type of game with dirty comedy this is definitely worth playing.
