Most glorious beautiful 80s hair Laura. Look at that volume. Look how it moves. Can this be in style again.

I just love the contrast between Laura and Mildred in this scene. 😂

The nature of my brain is that every couple of years I remember how much I used to love Remington Steele. And then I go watch a few episodes if I can find it anywhere (currently it's on Amazon Prime!), and I remember how much I freaking LOOOVE Remington Steele.
Laura Holt! Laura Holt's fedoras! The chemistry! The charm!

thinking about how red holt steele is such a good episode because it shows the flaws of both remington and laura and why they can't make it work together and then it shows them overcoming those flaws to be truly tender and open with each other
This is how you make romance that's actually compelling and character based!!
Also the mystery is really good and in another episode I would care about airplane monopolies but that's really not the point here
and just. "tonight if you asked I don't think I could say no" "tonight I don't think I could ask" hhhhhhhhhh

Mildred: Now according to the corporate return, which you signed, Miss Holt; the company employed a Bernice Foxe as a secretary/receptionist.
Laura: Unfortunately, Miss Foxe is no longer with us.
Steele: Yes, terrible loss. She ran off with a saxophone player. No doubt they’re enjoying some hot licks in New York, eh?
Mildred: And a Murphy Michaels as an investigator?
Laura: I’m afraid Mr. Michaels also left the agency. He opened one of his own in Denver.
Steele: Works closely with the coroner’s office. Murphy always had a flair for autopsy reports.

Remington: I’ve got an idea!
Laura: Does it involve breaking the law?
Remington: By now don’t you think that’s a given?
Laura: I was just trying to be optimistic.
Remington: Don’t bother.
Edit: Probably should add that this is based on EARLY S1 Remington Steele. Laura tends to break the law more often later on (she does earlier on, too, just less often)
