Although at first, the rocking of the ship made him seasick- Saburo did not pretend he was a capable seaman, after a day or two he adjusted. Hitching a ride because they were going the same way, Chopper fixing his latest injuries for payment, they kept running into each other. If the gunman was the fearsome bounty hunter legend would have him be, he should hunt them. But here he was, sitting on the deck, calm as anything, weapons disarmed. First time he'd been onboard... Saburo had taken the Strawhats off his target list long ago. They weren't the sort he hunted for money... They were just following a dream, he had no quarrel with that. It's why he worked on something, forming what looked like clay in his hands over a metal canister, his guns disarmed and simply by his side. Sleep evaded him too, and this was more productive than staring at the ceiling. They were safe to be around, turning his head as he heard footsteps. "Think it's just us up at this time." Saburo stated, putting the substance in the canister with practiced ease. "Y'alright?" His northern accent came through, no need to hide it here.

Luffy stepped onto the lawndeck. The cool breeze ruffling against him. It bit through his shirt and left his skin coated in sea mist. There was something soothing about it but not even the sea could wash away loneliness. He walked until a voice spoke out to him. Curiosity bit through the rock-like feeling in his chest.

He knew there was a guest on the ship. Some friend of Chopper's. Honestly, when the person came aboard, Luffy had been in an extremely rare anti-social mood and hadn't bothered to actually meet the person. Circumstances had shifted now. Moods changed.

Luffy didn't respond right away. He wandered over to the other, no real hurry to his steps. He felt too tired for that. Instead his walk was slow but he finally came up to the guest, crouching in front of him to look him over. The captain's eyes unblinking for a short time, just observing.

"Dunno." He finally responded. "Feel bleh inside."

He suddenly flopped down in front of the other. He pressed his feet together and rested his hands on them as he sat there. His head tilted slightly. "Who're you?"

Making herself comfortable on the surgeon's lap wasn't anything unusual to witness to either crew at this point. It was a normal occurrence whenever they gathered on the Sunny's lawndeck to enjoy games, Sanji's cooking, or just to relax. And that's how they were now; Nami curled up on his lap like a cat, face nestled into the crook of his neck with his arms loosely resting at the curve of her waist. She could feel the weight of his chin resting on her shoulder, no doubt observing the craziness happening behind her that she wasn't paying much attention to. There was a soft chuckle in her ear, and then Law was turning his head to press his lips to the side of her throat. From the angle he was at, his hat probably hid his action from view. If not, Nami was sure it would only be a matter of time before she heard Sanji shouting at the Hearts Captain to keep his lips to himself and not taint her skin with 'sinful marks', or whatever he went on a spiel about. They'd heard just about everything in the book by now since their relationship went public. ❝ Careful, ❞ Nami mumbled into his neck, voice tired and without any real bite. ❝ Be any more frisky and you might get a boot to the face. ❞

The sunlight shining over the Sunny's lawndeck was hot and painfully bright. There was a surprising layer of quiet settled over the ship. Far too much quiet for Luffy's liking. Already shooed away from both the galley and the map room, Luffy was looking for something to appease the raging need for excitement crawling under his skin.

"Neeh, Zoro. I'm bored." Luffy called, voice a low whine. He wrapped his legs around a ledge behind Zoro. His torso leaned backwards, hanging like a limp noodle over Zoro's shoulder. He looked up at his friend and grinned. One arm wrapped around Zoro's neck, Luffy's other fist punching into the air. "Yosh! Let's so go swimming!"

Muse Facts: Various Sanji Headcanons

- Sanji’s extremely depressed, especially after WCI. The crew’s excitement keeps his mood up, meaning being left alone can leave him feeling down.

- He likes taking naps on the lawndeck under the tree.

- He likes sitting on the swing under the tree but feels self-conscious and tends to avoid it.

- Sanji suffers from abandonment anxiety. He is extremely sure that the crew will kick him off the ship if he hurts his hands and can’t cook. Resulting in him just bandaging his hands when they get cut or burned and then just go immediately back to cooking.

- Even though the genetic modifications were lackluster and only manifested late in his growth, Sanji is benefited by them. They help his body survive heavy damage, allowing his broken bones  and bruised internal organ to heal quicker than normal. His body is literally modified to sustain extreme amounts excessive physical force.

- Sanji has a large scar on his spine. It goes from his lumbar region but to just under his shoulder blades.

- Even after two years since his back surgery, he still suffers from occasional back pain and sometimes his legs give out on him.

- He really loves making desserts for his crew. Often he’ll pick a dessert that fits each specific person.

- Due to excessive head trauma, a lot of memories from his pre-Zeff childhood are fuzzy and he has a hard time keeping memories separate. Rather than feling less fear from those memories, the morphing details make his anxiety spike to extreme levels. The head trauma also leaves him with bad headaches in his adulthood but he does his best to hide it from the crew.

- He does a great deal of stretching each day to stay flexible for his fighting style.

- Having Zoro around is kinda like owning a cat. Sanji’s always wanted a cat so he’ll often leave fish-based snacks out for the lazy swordsman.

- Sanji’s working on coming to terms with things still. Even after two years with Iva, he’s still suffering with a small bit of denial and anxiety over his genderqueer identity. He’s making progress and even kept some of his wardrobe from Iva’s kingdom.

- Sanji’s abandonment anxiety is much worse when he’s not feeling masculine. Showing signs of being “weak” or “different” has caused people to turn on him before. As much as he loves and trusts his crew, he can’t escape the suffocating paranoia that they’ll violently turn on him if he appears to be anything other than masculine to them. 

- Sanji will usually wear snuggly hoodies and jeans or leggings when feeling anything other than masculine. It’s the closest he feels he can get to feminine or androgynous without outing himself to his crew. It still doesn’t feel quite right or comfortable but he’s too scared to go further.

- Sanji sucks at putting on lipstick. It stays on his lips too long so he can’t risk practicing putting it on.
