((Been playing Don’t Starve/Don’t Starve Together again lately, and I already have some headcanons for my muses:
Kyung plays it casually, but goes pretty hard into the strategy, and prospering aspect.
Once she gets into playing other characters, Kyung mains Wormwood, Webber, and eventually Wurt.
Lee eventually tries to play with Kyung over DST, and he’s very much a Willow, Wheeler, and Wickerbottom main.
Lee would do just fine surviving, but he’d be much more drawn to causing as much destruction as possible.  He would die more frequently from trying to kill everything, and would probably blow himself up with gunpowder.
Kyung is more on the passive side for the most part, but often picks fights with the Pigs, and starts massive spider wars (if she’s playing as Webber).

If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended, That you have but slumber'd here While these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, No more yielding but a dream...
(Robin Goodfellow Puck, A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, Act 5 Scene i)
And so we come to the end of our sprawling, collaborative dream war epic, though not for the AU. I hope everyone enjoys reading this as much as we have writing it. Feedback is always welcome.
Of course none of this would've come to pass if not for a certain fictional hero and the incredibly talented actor who portrayed him so brilliantly. The series' views on nonviolence and gun control, the hero's compassion and sense of decency, his creative solutions to problems, his willingness to do the right thing and stand up for others even in the face of overwhelming odds- these are values I still admire and try to emulate even today.
So thanks first and foremost to Lee David Zlotoff and Richard Dean Anderson, for introducing me to the original Angus MacGyver so very long ago and whom I still love even now.
Story inspiration comes from far and wide- psychology pioneers Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell, authors like Frank Herbert, Robert Holdstock, Charles de Lint, Elizabeth Hand, Robert Silverberg, Janny Wurts and a whole library's worth of other fabulous tales of imaginary realms and the tenuous line between dreams and reality.
Above all I must thank my co-author deepandlovelydark, whose fabulous crossover AU with Fallen London, Ecstasy in Cosmogone, set the whole collaborative ball rolling between us almost a year ago this week, more or less. (Go and read it on AO3, dear readers, I urge you.) I really appreciate your allowing me to play off your AU, and have some fun with it. (I might even get back to writing about the adventures of the Innocent Spy and Sensible Bookworm someday, who knows?)
Without such fantastic inspiration, encouragement and insights on this and other stories in my modest AU (and our shared spinoff, Second Chances), I seriously don't think I would ever have had the courage to even begin writing this one. So as I said last post, all my gratitude and blessings go to you, dear writing friend. It's been an incredible experience. May we share many more collaborations in the future..
And one mystery: Why are these total word counts so different?
Written with the current version of OpenOffice: 78.239
As posted on AO3: 77,820
As posted on FF.net: 82,720 (of course, that does include the Final Authors’ Note, but still...)
I hope someone may be able to explain the discrepancy to me someday. (Is it different algorithms, or what?)
More adventures of Mac and Becky to come in the future, hopefully.
Upcoming on this blog (RL permitting), building my next dollhouse miniature project, a wizard’s tower. Watch this space, folks!

Jah’s Favourite Book
People ask me What’s your Favourite Book? I tell them I don't have 1 "favourite" - I have many. Underneath the cut is a list of my "100 Favourite Books" - the true number of books in the list is closer to 275. The bracket notes: (series) means that I am calling the entire series my favourite - I can't pick one IC in the list refers to a series which is incomplete/ currently ongoing (Title of a series) is a reference to the series which the book comes from so if you're interested you can find the start point (Hard copy of webcomic) means that I've purchased the print version of these webcomics. Note this list is fiction only - which means books such as What If and Thing Explainer by Randall Munroe, Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosch and (auto)biographies by Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, Stephen Fry, John Barrowman and James Morrison (the trumpet player) along with the book As You Wish about the filming of the princess bride were not included. If you want to know why a certain book (or multiple books) are on this list feel free to send me an ask - I am always happy to wax poetic about books! And finally please note that while I've listed this 1-100 there is no true separation of favourites - book 100 is just as awesome as book 1.

Reading list -- 2023.
Trying something new this year: going to keep an ongoing list of aspirational to-be-read works, and crossing off books post-read as I go. Also adding more to the pile as I come across them. Checking in each month along with the usual review. Fingers crossed this helps me keep more on track.
