#legit i'm so tired but i'm glad i finally fixed this

Finally. I’ve FINALLY accomplished this. I’ve FINALLY gotten my One True Team™ to where I want them to be, again.

Okay, so the story here is . . .

As some of you may know, it recently occurred to me that I wanted to change my charizard’s name to Nova, because I felt it was a better name, particularly since it wasn’t a fandom reference. However, I encountered a problem: Since my charizard was originally from X Version, the Name Rater in Alola wouldn’t change the nickname because he didn’t realize that I was the original trainer. Moreover, because Game Freak is ridiculous, I couldn’t send my charizard back to Kalos despite the fact that he didn’t have any Alola-specific moves. (Literally, there’s no reason for them to not just have a little check in Bank that makes sure you’re not sending anything game breaking back to a previous generation. This is honestly Game Freak being ridiculous for no good reason.) At that point, I felt rather stuck. Would I have to just stick with the names I already had, and be unsatisfied? Or would I have to . . . start again . . . from scratch . . .

For a moment, dear readers, I felt a moment of despair. And then . . . and then I remembered this. 

In case you don’t want to click, that link goes to a post that displays my Adamant Charmander Army. My Adamant Charmander Army is dozens of PC boxes filled with 300+ adamant charmander from when I was trying to hatch a 6 IV adamant charmander (which I eventually succeeded in doing, but not until I had hatched 300+ eggs). Originally I was going to send all the charmander out into the Wonder Trade, but then I felt bad, because it felt like I was hatching them just to throw them away. So I figured I’d give them a home on the Pelago instead. (I haven’t actually gotten around to doing this yet, since that would require transferring them all to one of the Alola games, but I’ll do it eventually.)

Anyway, upon remembering that I had over 300 adamant charmander to choose from, a good number of whom had at least 5 perfect IVs, I decided that perhaps training one from scratch wouldn’t be so impossible after all. I went back to X Version, found a 5 IV girl with a suitable characteristic (Mischievous), and then set to work raising her to Lvl 100, both so that she’d fit in with the rest of the One True Team™, and also so that I could Hyper Train the one imperfect stat. (And yeah, I decided to go with a girl since I was starting over, given that Nova is something of a feminine name.)

It felt like. It took. FOREVER.

Part of this is my fault; I forgot that the Lucky Egg is a thing and as such didn’t use it like an idiot. But it’s also partially due to the fact that I haven’t had to level grind in a while, and I was impatient because I don’t like using the 3DS anymore, and I couldn’t use most of my team and all I had was an old charizard and umbreon (both Lvl 100, but no perfect IVs between them), and so on and so forth. But, with the powers of Lvl 3 EXP O-Power and Restaurant Le Wow combined, I managed to get Nova to Lvl 100. I then transferred her to Ultra Sun so I could teach her Thunder Punch via a Move Tutor, transferred her to Sun to be Hyper Trained, and then back to Ultra Sun where she belongs, and was finally, finally done. (For those wondering, she’s a ‘Zard X, and the moveset I have for her is Dragon Claw, Flare Blitz, Thunder Punch, and Roost. She’s going to kick so much ass and take so many names, you guys.) 

All of that said, I also decided to change my mimikyu’s name. To be honest, Willow was always a placeholder name; I knew that I wanted a feminine name that touched on fae lore, but I couldn’t think of a fitting one at the time, so I settled for Willow (from the will-o-the-wisp) until I thought of something better. And now I have! Faeth works because:

Is a pretty and feminine name

Spelling includes “fae” --- so it’s punny, but it works

Faeth can have some faith that I love and won’t abandon her

Also, while I never watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I do know that one of the slayers in the show was named Faith, and that’s kind of fitting considering the fact that my Faeth slays all who stand before her with little to no effort. Anyway, this required sending Faeth back to Sun Version temporarily, but thank god Game Freak actually let me do that. Praise Arceus.

ANYWAY, that’s my update for the time being. This is my new canon. I love my One True Team™ and always will, thank you and goodnight.

I revisited hades after u replied! N spoilers: I got past elysium n then died to the Chambers (items got so expensive n it's multiple pathways to find cerb's treat lol n the poison...) butttttt I came back like next run n got hades to like 1/3 of his health and then died!!!! I'm pretty chuffed tho. I know now heueueue. And I MET THAN! GORGEOUS SOFT DEATH BOI. His voice man 🥰 BTW r zag n than half brothers that share hades as their father? But he cute that ain't no lie. I um am assuming u finished at least one complete run so I hope I ain't spoiling anything? I'm really sorry if I did. Third fury sister met too heueu.

Lololol I'm not really shitting on luci's yukata haha. Tbh I've been into kpop n Korean shows for yearsssss so I feel like nothing really fazes me too much? It's funny seeing ppl shit on Satan so much but I'm like honestly it doesn't hurt my eyes that badly. N his Pepsi yukata looks pre good. Not the worst by a looooooongggg shot. I hope the devs fix up the wonkiness of obey me cuz otherwise they will keep losing players n awesome content creators. V understandable tho. That's also why I probably won't play om and genshin cuz gacha, too stressful n it's kinda nice just evolving the charas by headcanons n imagination alone. The lore is v noice tho. Have u read the genshin manga?

Aww my ask got ate up huh. I sent it in the morning after u recommended achilles to me. It just said that the song is so fucking good. So cathartic n would've been such a help several yrs ago when I was going thru some shit. I love the lyrics, the sound...it's very soothing n I love it a lot. I hope to find more English songs that have such beautiful n haunting lyrics. I'm trying not to make the ask too long so I've dumbed the original ask down a lot. It's going to be long anyways 🙃
