I just wanna say if you were on the fence about seeing The National, I highly recommend it! Definitely one of my favorites for the vibes and Matt’s interaction with the crowd.
Here’s a video of Matt making his way through the crowd. He managed to find his sister who was in the crowd! (I didn’t know they had family in WA.) Matt, you were already cool in my eyes. You just got even cooler! Thanks for a great time. 😁
i heard terrible love, don’t swallow the cap, bloodbuzz ohio, once upon a poolside, eucalyptus, mr november, fake empire, green gloves, day i die, the system only dreams in total darkness, this is the last time, i need my girl, graceless, weird goodbyes, i should live in salt, and pink rabbits live last night btw if you even care. also he crowd surfed.
let’s say, hypothetically, that you and your sister lived in a lemonworld. and let’s also, for the sake of the argument, say that i wanted to sit in and die,
what I want by muna orrrrr red wine supernova by chappell roan!!! gay gay horny horny cigarettes u get it 💓
3. a song that's long as hell and every second was absolutely necessary
not that long only like 7 mins but Kim's caravan by courtney barnett MY BELOVED the way it builds is just fucking insane and suchhh an experience I wish I could hear it for the first time again
7. a song that you love because of that one part
the bartees strange cover of lemonworld ohhhh my god, obsessed with how he gets desperate at the chorus and the heaviness of it!! also brand new colony covered by the beth's <3 my heart just soars at how she says I want to take you far from the cynics in the town AND KISS YOU ON THE MOOOUTH agh!! covers allow for a lot more appreciation for little bits I think 💕
I would hate most of my favourite fandom characters in real life & I don't know what to do with that information. Like if I met McKay for real I'd drop kick him through the Stargate straight to LemonWorld.
Hello love orchid and daffodil for the flower asks 🌼
Aw there are so so many so you can have more than one haha :')
Feels like such a throwback now but this has been one of my favourite songs for so so long, and maybe I've been influenced by no one in particular but to listen to this song is literally to be held so tight and rocked from foot to foot in the kitchen all gentle but childish and kinda teenage romance but also childish married couple who have been together a solid 25 years and still mess around like they've only been dating a few months. Idk it's cosy, it's warm sounding, that rhythm is so relentless and like watery? It's gorgeous <3
This one is the perfect dramatic heartbreak song, I've drunk sobbed my way through this so many times, it's like perfect as a sad pop song idk
Something of a heavenly experience listening to this, like literal heaven breaking through the clouds. It's like a really deep vibrant sunset? And Bryan ferrys voice is just, angelic innit
