I am so happy to see Leo jumping around and hopping onto benches again (one of his favorite thing to do 😂). His legs are back to normal, thanks to the anti inflammatory meds. She was very shy in the beginning.. new place, new friends and me having a giant dog definitely didn't help. But now, this girl is a brave one. Thank you Lake Tahoe for being so amazing in beauty and spirit. We had the best time there this memorial day weekend. The weather was pleasant and we even got to enjoy snow on Saturday morning. This was Leo's first experience with snow. The snow also added tranquility to spots that we had visited before in the summer, especially Eagle Falls. The Lake Tahoe loop was easy to complete in a day and had a lot to offer with stunning vegetation, beaches, trails, lakes and even developed areas for us to rest and freshen up. Most areas are dog friendly with leash laws clearly marked. We stayed at @coachmanhotel which was walking distance from the Heavenly Village and a buzzing South Lake Tahoe downtown. Leo had the time of his life at the hotel and the downtown since both were extremely dog friendly. Leo, being a giant Labrador, was tough to miss and people were amused at how big he really was. Atleast 30 children came to pet him like they were at a petting zoo and Leo was so gentle with them. I am so proud of this boy and I am glad he had a great experience in Tahoe. We also took our brand new @teslamotors model 3 on the trip and Leo couldn't have had a smoother ride. Other than the extremely windy road towards the end of South Lake, he was calm and was enjoying the car ride. We've tried 2 yak cheese treat brands before but one was very stinky and the second disintegrated quickly into a sticky substance. I was obviously skeptic about trying it again but @dogseechew_usa changed all that. 🎖️ The chew is pretty much odorless to the human nose so I liked it right away. It is also super sturdy and therefore kept Leo engaged for around 1.5 hours. For a heavy chewer like this big fellow, that is a miracle. It's good entertainment when I am working or need some downtime at home. The @dogseechew_usa keeps Leo busy. What fun!!! 🏆 It is a great replacement for bones that sometimes chip and choke or cause internal damage to dogs. Yak cheese is also very heart healthy and helps maintain a balanced weight. Every now and then I treat Leo to some wet food. It's a good break from his usual @tasteofthewild dry food. Because I am a vegetarian and don't cook meat at home, wet food cans are my best bet. . . The @purina Beyond Wild-Prey inspired meat recipes is a great choice. We have tried a couple of different recipes before but Leo has some extra love for this turkey and duck one.
