Honestly if I think about it too hard Bakugou may be so liked because he is the shining image of a man overcoming his toxic masculinity. He is a character that is allowed change, and redemption, in a social climate where like... honestly these days people aren't really afforded that opportunity. And reality is quite different from fiction, real people are not open to interpretation the way fictional characters are, nor are they as easy to give a second chance to. But it's so fucking refreshing to see a character be given that opportunity, and to see it done so fucking well.
