All the lettering I usually see done on vinyl cutters is chunky, so when I got my #Cricut I immediately started doing some chunky lettering. It was cool, but it didn’t feel like *my* thing, it felt like I was just trying to be something I wasn’t. So I went back to what I love: airy, light copperplate with lots of simple flourishes 😍 This was my test run and aside from pulling up a bit of the varnish on this ancient box, I’m happy with how the lettering came out! Turns out the machine can cut very delicately when you want it to, you just have to be patient with the weeding. And I’m a calligrapher; I’m good with slow lettering 😂 . Anyway; vinyl! This means a few more things I can offer clients - lettering on fabric, wood, car window decals, etc; maybe I’ll do baubles again this year; basically whatever you can stick a sticker on.
