A man and woman from Columbia have pleaded guilty to federal hate crime charges after engaging in a crime spree targeting Hispanic people.
Gabriel Brunson, 20, and Sierra Fletcher, 33, both of Columbia, targeted people they identified as Mexican and Hispanic, sometimes tracking victims to their homes before robbing them at gunpoint, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Both defendants pleaded guilty to hate crimes for their involvement in a Jan. 22, 2021, armed robbery when they followed victims from a grocery store and restaurant to their home before robbing them at gunpoint, according to a statement released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for South Carolina. The pair stole cash and a cellphone.
“These defendants targeted Hispanic victims for violent acts of armed robbery because of their race, national origin and perceived vulnerability,” said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “No person should have to fear for their lives or property because of their race or national origin.”
The plea agreement, announced Thursday, was filed on Aug. 17. Fletcher, known as “Yella Flow” according to court records, also admitted to being involved in several other robberies on Jan. 30, 2021, including a carjacking and a home invasion of other Hispanic victims, according to prosecutors.
Brunson and Fletcher were also charged with conspiracy, federal robbery charges and carrying firearms in connection with those crimes.
“These were not crimes of opportunity. The defendants systematically robbed at gunpoint people whom they identified as Mexican or Hispanic,” said Assistant Director Luis Quesada of the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division.
There is no law punishing hate crimes in South Carolina. As a result, it falls to federal prosecutors to charge cases that target victims because of identifies such as race, gender or sexual identity.
“Prosecuting civil rights crimes is a priority for our office,” said U.S. Attorney Adair Boroughs for the District of South Carolina. “Federal law recognizes that crimes targeting people of a particular race or national origin is particularly egregious, and we stand ready to enforce the national hate crimes law here in South Carolina.”
The plea agreements require both defendants to pay restitution. Sentencing in federal court does not take place immediately after the plea. A federal district court judge will determine a sentence based on federal sentencing guidelines and a presentence report prepared by the U.S. Probation Office.
The case was investigated by the FBI Columbia Field Office along with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ben Garner and Brook Andrews for the District of South Carolina and trial attorney Andrew Manns of the Civil Rights Division’s Criminal Section are prosecuting the case.
Fletcher was represented by Andrew B. Farley. Brunson was represented by Aimee J. Zmroczek.

Eric Rashun Jones - Pleaded Guilty - Human Trafficking
Tumblr media
Eric Rashun Jones pleaded guilty to Human Trafficking, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, and Witness Tampering. COLUMBIA, SC (STL.News) Eric Rashun Jones, a/k/a “E Dolla,” a/k/a “E,” 31, of Newberry, has pleaded guilty to Human Trafficking Conspiracy, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, and Witness Tampering. As to the Human Trafficking Conspiracy conviction, the evidence presented in court showed that from August 2018 through November 2022, Jones worked together with at least one other person to prostitute women in the commercial sex trade by force, fraud, and coercion.  He did so by physical violence: Jones broke one victim’s orbital socket and burst her ear drum; he hit another victim regularly with a closed fist.  Videos recovered by the FBI showed Jones directing the physical assault of women who worked for him.  He also forced women to engage in sexual acts with him and others.  Jones also exploited the drug addictions of victims, including by withholding the fentanyl one victim was dependent on as punishment and by paying others for commercial sex with the drugs they were dependent on.  He also threatened to kill one victim and her family.  Further, Jones exercised high levels of control: he managed online advertisements for the commercial sex, he controlled when and where women would work, and he determined whether and how proceeds would be divided. As to the Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition conviction, the evidence presented in court showed that Lexington County 911 received a call on June 25, 2019, from a victim who told law enforcement that Jones had forced her into prostitution, that he had confiscated proceeds, and that he had stolen her phone, money, and pistol.  The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department responded and found Jones in a hotel room with two women, one of whom was partially undressed.  Inside the hotel room was a Springfield 9mm handgun loaded with 6 rounds.  Jones admitted to hiding the firearm under the mattress.  At the time, federal law prohibited Jones from firearm possession as a result of prior felony convictions, including for Strong Arm Robbery, Common Law Robbery, and Assault & Battery 1st Degree. As to the Witness Tampering conviction, the evidence presented in court showed that between August and November 2022, while in federal custody, Jones called a woman involved with him in commercial sex and told her on a recorded jail call to “say nothing at all” to federal law enforcement, to “never say nothing,” to “tell those mother f***ers you know nothing,” and to “f*** the police, the police aint your family.”  Separately, over a five-day span, Jones called that victim 40 times.  Jones also told her he has “a third eye on the street,” and in a prior hearing, it was alleged that Jones was a member of a street gang. Pursuant to a plea agreement, Jones agreed to pay victims restitution and to register as a sex offender.  He also agreed to forfeit jewelry, U.S. currency, a firearm, and electronics used or purchased with proceeds of criminal conduct.  Jones faces a maximum penalty of Life in prison.  He also faces a fine of up to $250,000 and Lifetime supervision to follow a term of imprisonment. United States District Judge Sherri A. Lydon accepted the guilty plea and will sentence Jones after receiving and reviewing a sentencing report prepared by the U.S. Probation Office. This case was prosecuted as part of the joint federal, state, and local Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Program, the centerpiece of the Department of Justice’s violent crime reduction efforts.  PSN is an evidence-based program proven to be effective at reducing violent crime.  Through PSN, a broad spectrum of stakeholders work together to identify the most pressing violent crime problems in the community and develop comprehensive solutions to address them.  As part of this strategy, PSN focuses enforcement efforts on the most violent offenders and partners with locally based prevention and reentry programs for lasting reductions in crime. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Greenville Police Department, Newberry County Sheriff’s Office, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Simpsonville Police Department, and Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.  Assistant U.S. Attorneys Elliott B. Daniels and Elle E. Klein are prosecuting the case. SOURCE: U.S. Department of Justice Read the full article

Anderson Lee Aldrich Not much is known about Aldrich. He has no public social media account. On June 18, 2021, Aldrich’s mother called the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office to report that he was threatening to cause harm to her with a homemade bomb, multiple weapons and ammunition. He was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail in El Paso, El Paso County but no formal charges were pursued in the case. At 9:00 p.m. on November 19, 2022, a drag show started in Club Q in Colorado Springs. Just before midnight, Aldrich entered the club and used a long rifle to open fire, killing five people and wounding 25 others. Patrons stopped and disarmed Aldrich. At 12:02 a.m. on November 20, 2022, a Colorado Springs Police Department officer took him into custody.  Repost @homegrownterrorists THIS JUST IN: The #ClubQ #ColoradoSprings mass murderer is the grandson of MAGA California Assemblymember @RandyVoepel. Your criminal acts can help someone else with their political career advancement....
Jeffrey O Kight Jr, South Carolina inmate 372092, born 1994, incarceration intake April 2017 at age 23, scheduled for release March 2043.
Murder with use of a Firearm
Convicted of murdering neighbor over a dispute which resulted in the death of the inmate’s dog.  Jeffrey O. Kight, Jr., 23, pleaded guilty to murder, to shooting and killing William Rush Falls, 56.  The 11th Curcuit Solicitor’s Office was prepared to begin the murder trial in Lexington County before the plea, according to a news release.
The shooting occurred around 6:45 am on March 13, 2013 when the victim was shot while inside his residence located at 115 Emma Drive in Lexington.  Upon arrival at the scene, C.S.I. Detective Mike Phipps of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department recovered video from a surveillance system positioned in the yard of the victim’s home.
The video surveillance recording showed a lone shooter approaching a kitchen window of the victim’s home and then pointing a long gun into the window frame. The investigation determined that a single shot was fired through the window and fatally wounded Falls. During the course of the investigation, law enforcement learned that Kight had stolen the murder weapon two days earlier during a burglary on Abingdon Drive, a parallel street next to Emma Drive. Ballistics testing conducted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division determined that the .12 gauge shotgun stolen from the Abingdon Drive residence was the same firearm used to shoot Falls.
At the time of the shooting, then-Sheriff James Metts said Falls was killed as a result of an argument involving the death of a dog owned by Kight, who was 19 at the time. The sheriff said the dog died after it was hit by a car on Old Barnwell Road. The dispute ensued after that.
Kight was sentenced to 30 years for the crimes of murder and possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime. The sentence must be served “day for day” and he will not be eligible for parole or early release. The Circuit Court Judge imposed the sentence.
Family members of William Rush Falls were present for the guilty plea and sentencing hearing.
Promotion Photo used in Re-election Campaign
His mug-shot along with 5 others was used by the local prosecutor, Rick Hubbard, in his re-election materials -- to show the public that he was “effective” in his role.

One of the groups that helped to organize and lead the attack was a group known as the Oath Keepers. This group claims to be made up of current and former military and police officials. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) “The Oath Keepers has a long history of engaging in and promoting their own form of vigilante justice by voluntarily showing up armed to provide security for business owners. The group has made appearances during protests following police killings of black men in 2014, 2015 and 2020 and when business owners reopened against COVID-19 public health safety measures in 2020. The group has participated in multiple standoffs against government officials and claims to have patrolled polling locations allegedly to discourage and report voter fraud during the 2016 and 2020 elections.”
They formed on April 19, 2009, with a rally in Lexington, Massachusetts. They were formed by Elmer “Stewart” Rhodes, a former US Army paratrooper and Yale Law School Graduate in the wake of the election of the first black US President.
According to Rhodes, the group supposedly had about 35,000 dues-paying members in 2014, most of whom have military or law enforcement experience. This would make the Oath Keepers one of the largest militia groups in the country. The main crux of the group’s ideology is that the government is engaged in attacks against its own citizens to strip them of their civil liberties. The Oath Keepers believe a conflict with the government is coming and they are training and stockpiling supplies to prepare. Some of their actions, like confronting government agents, could be seen as attempting to spark that conflict.
During Trump’s time in office, groups like the Oathkeepers, the Proud Boys, and the 3%ers not only began to come out of the shadows but gained recruitment from very public acts like taking part in the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally and taking part in numerous protests against mask rules during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Oathkeepers were also very visible during the January 6th attack. Five Oathkeepers have already pleaded guilty to charges related to the January 6th insurrection, with more thought to be still facing charges.
With the group becoming more public and more violent, many have wondered if their local police officers are part of the group. Now a new hack has revealed some of the names of the police officers who consider themselves to be Oathkeepers. According to data collected through the recent hack and made public by the whistleblower, group Distributed Denial of Secrets, nearly 40,000 people's names, phone numbers, and email addresses have been leaked. While it is not possible to determine if all of these 40,000 have some law enforcement training about 200 of the people were identified in the documents as being active or retired law enforcement.
Included in the list were Sgt. Stuart Wohl and Officer Aniello Napoli of the NYPD. Whol, a firearms trainer, and Aniello, who works in the department’s Strategic Response Group, are both still on the job while Internal Affairs investigates. The NYPD bars its members from knowingly associating with organizations involved in criminal activity, so being a member of a group like the Oathkeepers could cost them their jobs.
“As an officer, you took an oath to protect the Constitution,” said the NYPD official. “The Oath Keepers have not been designated a terrorist grouping but members have been charged for Jan. 6 as part of a conspiracy.”
Some other law enforcement officials included:
James Holsinger: a lieutenant with the Washington Md County Sheriff’s office and is currently running to becoming sheriff in the county. Holsinger wrote on his form to join the group that he “designed and implemented tactical rescue drills” and had “experience with an assortment of weapons (lethal and nonlethal).”
An officer at the Louisville Metro Police Department who was involved in a shooting in 2018.
A former U.S. Army member who joined the New York Police Department and a former U.S. Army captain who joined the Chicago Police Department. Both are still police officers there.
An 80-year-old, part-time officer at the Ashley County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas.
A corrections officer in Riverside, California.
Maj. Eben Bratcher, operations chief with the Yuma County Sheriff's Office in Arizona, is among them.
Constable Joe Wright, of Collin County Texas

Another update about my dad. OSBI has put out an official statement, and there are some new articles.
https://kfor.com/news/local/osbi-asking-for-help-finding-missing-forest-park-man/
There's also a television news segment, but I can't find that atm.
FOREST PARK, Okla. (KFOR) – Investigators desperately need your help to find a missing 40-year-old man from Forest Park. The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation told us Jeremy Reagan was last seen 38 days ago and they may not be able to solve this case without the public’s help.
“This happens to be one of those cases where the public may be our best help in the situation,” said Brook Arbeitman, spokeswoman for OSBI.
40-year-old Jeremy Reagan, a father of six, has been missing for more than five weeks.
“At this point in time, I would say that all possibilities are on the table since we haven’t located him,” Arbeitman said.
Reagan was last seen at his home on the 3100 block of Forest Park Terrace in Forest Park on August 27.
When he didn’t return by the next day, his family filed a missing persons report with the Forest Park Police Department.
Hours later, Reagan’s truck — Silver 2011 Nissan Frontier — was located by an Oklahoma State Game Warden at the Lexington Wildlife Management Area. The Game Warden and the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office conducted an extensive search of the area between August 28-31, and Reagan was not located.
His sister Amber Halzle said his truck is the only piece of evidence they have.
“I know that the wildlife management area is over 10,000 acres,” she said. “It is a lot of land, but people don’t just disappear like that in the woods.”
Loved ones are passing out and posting hundreds of missing person fliers.
Halzle said Reagan may have gone to the hunting area to cool his head after an argument with family, but said it’s unlike him to stay out of touch for any extended period of time.
“I try to hold hope a lot that he’s just out there and he’s okay, but the further it gets out, the harder it is to hold on to that nothing’s wrong with him,” she said. “You try not to go to the negative. So, it is it’s just a roller coaster of emotions. It’s very hard. He’s just the best. I don’t know how to put it into words sometimes because it makes me cry.”
Anyone with tips is asked to contact OSBI. _____________________
Nice to see there's still folks out there keeping the story alive to the level that it's still hitting the news.
TV segment is attached to the article here too, in the link, unless there's another one.
Y'all are still in my prayers over this one, this is just a awful situation to be in
