As a trainee at Yuehua, you ask Quanzhe for some help with a choreo, and he lets a secret slip.

so li quanzhe having a crush on u would be the most innocent softest thing EVER

lots of blushes !!!

he also tends to stammer a lot around you

and he feels like whenever he talks to you, he makes a complete fool of himself

but he rlly wants to get to know you better !!

so he’s super ecstatic when you ask him for help on a dance that you’re learning

he’s super shy while the two of you are warming up omg

it’s v cute tbh

anyways so the two of you start dancing !!

quanzhe just asks you to run through the choreo once so that he can be more familiar w it + give you tips n stuff

so you play the music over the speaker and run through the dance once

obv you’re out of breath at the end

but quanzhe is just kinda staring at you with his mouth open???

and you take his silence as it being really bad so you start apologizing

“wow i’m so sorry, that was probably terrible, oh my go--”

“no, no!” quanzhe shakes his head, blushing, “no, oh my god, are you kidding? that was amazing, (y/n), you’re actually perfect.”

you start blushing yourself bc wow your crush just said that you’re perfect and ????

“i’m not perfect,” you mumbled, looking down at the ground

quanzhe grabbed your hand, frowning

“(y/n), don’t say that!” he said firmly, looking you straight in the eyes, “you are perfect, like literally you’re perfection, i would know, i’ve had a huge crush on you for like four years.”

“what.”

quanzhe’s eyes widened as he realized what he’d said

“um.”

“li quanzhe, do you like me?” you asked with a slow smile, still holding onto his hand

and now it was quanzhe’s turn to look down at the ground

“yeah,” he mumbled, “but i get if it makes our friendship awkward or something,,,”

and you’re like plEaSe

“quanzhe, i like you too !?”

the two of you are just standing in the middle of the practice room

shook af

zhengting sticks his head in

“um, hello? are you two actually gonna practice?”

quanzhe jumps

lots of blushing

“y-yeah!”

when zhengting leaves the room, the two of you look at each other for a moment before bursting out into laughter

“so, do you wanna maybe go on a date sometime?” quanzhe asked shyly

“i would love to.”

Kissing Booth - Li Quanzhe

(A/N: Whew! This kind of turned into a high school au oops but it was really fun to write nonetheless ^^ thank you to the anonnie who requested it, and I hope it was fluffy enough for you! Enjoy~ <33)

At your school, the dance team was for some reason nicknamed the “yuehua” team

Literally nobody knew why, but you speculate that it was the name of the company that sponsored the dance studios however long ago or something

You tended to have an overactive imagination sometimes oops

Which made you into a huge writing nerd!! And basically the complete opposite of anyone on the dance team

Attractive, talented, popular and coordinated? Nope, definitely not you

More like nerdy and a complete dork

But even though you knew you had no chance... you couldn’t help but have the most hopeless crush on one of them, Li Quanzhe

He was the most squishy bub in the entire universe and you really loved him a lot,,, but from a distance because you had no confidence to actually approach him irl

UNTIL

the yuehua team announced that they would be running a kissing booth to raise funds for new mirrors in the studio

since apparently justin and chengcheng ran into them on accident, shattering the old ones

You were very confused?? Because how does one run into a mirror at full speed?? ok lmao

It was justin and chengcheng after all, the school’s two largest crackheads

Plus it was a chance to maybe kiss Quanzhe? Or at least spend a couple seconds close to him??

And even though it wasn’t something that your nerdy ass would typically go to, it was to support the dance team... you rationalised in your head

Let’s be real though the real reason was Quanzhe

So that’s how you found yourself in a giant line outside after classes one Monday

No joke like the entire female population of your school was in line with you, money in hand, patiently waiting for a chance to kiss one of the school’s most popular boys

Much to your dismay though, Quanzhe was nowhere in sight?

The other 6 boys that were on the team were there, though only Zhengting and Xinchun seemed to be giving out kisses

The rest were either laughing at them, or in Wenjun’s case, playing absentmindedly with a yo-yo that he had brought along

When there were only about 5 people in front of you - and you had long since resigned yourself to the fact that you wouldn’t be able to get even a glimpse of Quanzhe - a miracle happened

The boy himself showed up!! in all of his squishy glory

With his recently-dyed pink hair which had been the subject of more than one of your daydream-esque fantasies

back to that overactive imagination of yours, you logically knew you didn’t stand a chance with him

He just looked so adorable and you nearly squealed out loud from your spot in line

Thankfully, you somehow managed to avoid embarrassing yourself in the next 3 minutes, and soon enough it was your turn!

...except that xinchun was the one standing on the other side of the booth

Xinchun was great!! But,,, he wasn’t Quanzhe

So you couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed that he would be the one you would be kissing

And then he wasn’t anymore? Before your brain could even process what had happened, Xinchun was shoving a shy Quanzhe into his place with a conspiratorial glint in his eyes

Maybe you might just get what you had hoped for?

You quickly paid for your turn and puckered your lips, suddenly nervous

What if your breath smelled bad? Or he thought you were a terrible kisser??

Quickly pushing those thoughts out of your head, you forced yourself to look into the eyes of the boy who had been your crush for the past two years

was a blush on his cheeks? No, y/n, get it together!

Slowly, you started to lean in, until you threw all caution to the wind and captured his lips with yours

It was an awkward clash of lips, teeth and tongue - by no means the most romantic of first kisses - but still you couldn’t help but sigh into it regardless

You pulled away for air after a couple of seconds, tentatively glancing at Quanzhe to gauge his reaction

If he wasn’t blushing before then he definitely was now!! His cheeks were dusted with a deep pink and his eyes were shyly wandering around until they locked onto your gaze

“Was that... ok? I’m sorry if you didn’t really want to do it or anything, I know Xinchun really pushed you here?” you rambled anxiously, subconsciously imagining all the ways that the scenario could go horribly wrong

curse that damn imagination of yours!

“NO!!”

His loud reply startles you slightly, but he continues;

“That was... uhm... my first kiss actually? sO I hope it was okay.. for you?”

Wait what

You were Li Quanzhe’s first kiss?

A huge smile broke out on your face

“Yeah! Don’t worry, it was fine - more than fine, actually! I... hold on a second.”

Feeling spontaneous, you hastily scribbled down your number on a scrap of paper and closed his open palm around it

“Call me sometime? I would love a repeat performance,, only if you want to though!! Erm..”

And you were back to your awkward self

oh well

Quanzhe didn’t seem to mind though, which was good!

Actually, Quanzhe didn’t seem to be reacting in any way other than smiling like a lovesick idiot

it was a really cute look on him

Suddenly, you heard the flash of a camera go off in the background, making you jump in surprise

The kissing booth had apparently wrapped up sometime when you and Quanzhe had been in the world of your own

Leaving the other yuehua boys nothing else to do but watch the painfully awkward spectacle that was your flailing love life

The flash also snapped Quanzhe out of his smiling trace, and he was back to blushing adorably

After a couple seconds of silence where the two of you just stared at each other, you figured that you should probably get going

Bidding him goodbye with a small smile, you fled the scene of the booth, fervently hoping that Quanzhe would actually text or call you sometime

While you quite fortunately missed the endless, playful teasing your crush would have to endure at the hands of his best friends, you didn’t miss the shy wave he shot in the direction of your retreating figure

• the other oaca trainees slowly realize what’s happening

• peiyao silently whisper to mubo “is he-“

• mubo doesn’t even let the other finish the sentence and is already nodding still focused on the situation in front of him

• the elder is pouting while talking to you

• “we get it, ge, you like them” zimo boldly says while rolling his eyes

• mubo and peiyao chuckle

• qin fen’s face expression suddenly changes and he’s now looking at zimo furiously

• “run” zou ye says

• and zimo starts running while fen is following him

• you just stand there smiling towards at the two boys acting childish

• zimo asks qin to stop bc he’s tired and sits where he was before

• qin fen looks at you dumbfounded

• bc you’re smiling

• why are you smiling

• does that mean-

• “i’m confusion” he says

• you laugh again

• “i like you too”

• he suddenly crashes onto the floor being the dramatic king he is

• “is she serious” he looks at the boys

• who just silently nods

• then he looks at you

• who’s giggling to yourself

• he then falls back to the groung and puts his hands over his heart

• he doesn’t know how to react and is just laying there

• but then he realizes he should do something

• he gets up

• and gets on his knees in front of you

• suddenly acting confident

• “would you go out with me, y/n?”

• “ofc silly”

• then he gets up excitedly jumping around

• the rest decide to leave the two of you alone

• then he continues pouting at you while telling you how your date’s gonna be

• says any idea that comes to his mind

• messy

• speaks so quickly
