Remember this? I saw very very mixed reviews about @kuretakejapan ‘s #gansaitambi #lightfastness. Lightfastness refers to a pigment’s ability to withstand light exposure. I don’t recall learning about Lightfastness in college but I did learn the hard way about it when I drew an 18 by 24 drawing with pens that had poor-to-no lightfast levels. These paint pan sets, however, didn’t do bad at all! I will be making lots of paintings with these wonderful paints. I love @kuretakejapan gansai tambi but I would highly recommend giving them a lightfast test before painting anything with them. This is a new set I bought a few weeks ago at @curio.lancaster and the paper they are painted on is going in a south facing window for 2 months. If you look them up online you get very mixed reviews on the lightfastness of them… I did test my pastel colored set a while back before I did all those paintings with them and the colors on that did pretty well.
