People on doctor who twitter are being so annoying talking about how Steven Moffat having conservative friends isn't the gotcha you think it is. Like I don't care about that man but also if you're a member of a group routinely targeted by those crusty fuckers you're allowed to be pissed off with people who happily associate with them we don't need to be playing the 'political beliefs aren't a reason to not be friends with people' card to support Moffat of all people I think we can move past that

#like again im not specifically talking about moffat here because i dont have time for him #but as a trans person who is attacked by tories every single day i dont trust anyone who is happily friends with them #to support me #and if i cant trust them to support me then i cant trust them full stop that's it #and blah blah moffat is trans positive i know that #but theres only so far that not being transphobic yourself can help trans people #and if hes not actively standing up for us and is proudly saying hes friends with tories then idgaf #if he doesnt see supporting trans people and encouraging tories as mutually exclusive then hes wrong #sorry i was wrong apparently it is about moffat #god and the context for it was moffat standing against homophobia which is good obviously #but refusing to see the link between a mans right wing politics and his homophobia #which is just irritating #anyway annoying while leftists will be annoying white leftists what can you do
