video game animations for me are like... not really the decisive factor to me, even if the presentation of a game is kinda bad i can tolerate it. but my bar is that i dont want it to be distractingly bad yknow?

sadly pokemon fits into distractingly bad tho

#like gti? its presentation is bad ill just say that. the game visually doesnt look good imo but its still my second fave game #and the game doesnt look distractingly bad #swsh had better visuals than gti on a base level but the actual animations were distractingly bad #like the tree was something i didnt care abt but the awkward legendary walk animation. the screen cutting to black when a character #has to do something more complex than turn or walk #a white void when u battle indoors bc they didnt wanna render a generic building #like. yeah theres a shit ton of crunch time going on thats causing this so no shade onthe animators #theyre cutting corners and i cant exactly blame them but god. tpci it looks bad. extend the development cycle #ive seen one scivi animation about eating sandwiches at the picnic and. dear god #i saw it get excused with ''oh its for comedic effect!!'' but like it wasnt comedically bad. it was just bad #like all the pokemon awkwardly floating behind the trainer just does not look good and its not funny #echoed voice #legends had a few moments where i like like..... hm..... but overall i love that game and had a ton of fun with it #and overall the animation wasn't distracting #im just hoping the overall look of scivi is better. i want it to be better so bad oh god
