also the "imaginaire" part of the class was a fucking lie the whole time all we covered was the history of quebec. which infuriates me to no end bc class 2 is supposed to be "Literature and Imagination" and class 3 is supposed to be "Quebecoise Literature" so like wtf am i gonna learn in class 3. im just gonna see the same stupid material again ?

#wind howls #a lot of the stuff i learned was just evil stuff the french canadian government has done to natives.#like did you know in 1950 (this is fairly fucking recent !) the quebecoise governemnt slaughtered a ton of dogs (specifically sled dogs)-#to force Inuits into a sedentary lifestyle in order to take even more of their land ?#this happened from the 50s to the 70s btw. around 20k dogs.#the government also pushed a lot of Inuit people up north in order to establish sovereignty of the arctic and promised them-#so many good things for it only to abadon them up there with no support in harsh conditions they were not ready for.#animal death #jic. anyway i hate this fucking province and this country LOL #and the point of this post that i kinda wish i could have seen more like imaginary books. but i do think this stuff is important to learn #especially since most of the people in my class were “de souche” white frenc canadians. they dont teach that stuff otherwise
