This kills me because this is what Naotora's ideal world is like. A world where his father acknowledges his worth
#muse: takeda naotora.#muse: inue aijiro.#Literally the only thing he wants is to hear or see that his father thinks it's fine for him to be alive. to exist. even just ONCE#and he never got it back before Nobutaka 'died'. nor is he likely to get it now outside of the ideal world from the way Aijiro is currently#It also doesn't help that everyone who knew Nobutaka back then keep on undermining Naotora's power and decisions every chance they get#like his 'right hand man' from Nobutaka's era (the brunette in the last panel of the first page on this post)#Naotora says he wants to save people. His band acts like he said he wants to kill them#Naotora says they can achieve the future they want. His band calls him an idealistic fool#I'm SURE there were several times when the Takeda let out smth along the lines of 'if only Nobutaka-sama was alive [instead of you]' too
