going to get crucified for admitting I actually don’t like most portrayals of dragons in fantasy

#ikr this is shocking to admit I just don’t like it #I don’t like when they’re ancient intelligent and cold #don’t like dragon rider type things where they’re bonded with humans #don’t really like when they’re like. just animals that exist in the world cause generally that’s not that cool #you have to go.#1) it’s just all dragons no humans #or 2) mythological creature route and you have to give them a badass design #like inspired by irl lore probably. anywhere in the world doesn’t matter where specifically #like less of a physical creature and more of a mythical being yk. divine in nature in some way #but ofc it also depends on the individual design + lore and how creative it is
