Hey guys! I receive a ton of questions on the mods I use in my game, so here is my ultimate masterlist of mods for the Sims 3. All of the mods listed are organized by category. This list will be updated from time to time. Happy Simming!

εϊз NRAAS Mods

These mods are essential!

NRAAS Master Controller: This mod adds countless options that allow you to easily control and change just about anything about Sims in your town. Featuring a robust filter system to allow you to find the Sims you want to target and execute actions on. 

NRAAS Master Controller Cheats (module): This mod is an optional module of Master Controller and includes the more advanced; therefore "cheaty" aspects of Master Controller. (Must have the base-mod installed for this module to work properly).

NRAAS Master Controller Integration (module): This mod is an optional module of Master Controller and replaces all the CAS interactions in the game with the one managed by Master Controller, including the "Create-A-Sim" button in "Edit Town". (Must have the base-mod installed for this module to work properly).

NRAAS Career: This mod is used to load custom careers into the game. It is also possible to load custom book lists, custom skills, and standing social interactions.

NRAAS Careers School: This mod contains a series of high-school "trade" school careers.

NRAAS Debug Enabler: This mod exposes EA debug commands so that it is usable in game. It also adds a few useful commands to fix common problems.

NRAAS Error Trap: This is a core-mod intended to catch and correct data corruption errors that can render a save-game unloadable. Any corruption errors that can not be corrected will be trapped and logged, allowing the save-game to load regardless.

NRAAS Go Here: This mod replaces the "Go Here" interaction, with one that can be stacked in the queue, allowing the user to better direct the route of a sim. It also makes inactive Sims less likely to go home, restores haunting ghosts in the grave yard, fixes common routing errors and adds a robust set of door locking features.

NRAAS Mover: This mod removes the "greater than eight" and "requires adult" restrictions in "Edit Town" and the Phone and Computer "Move" interactions. It also retains the dreams and opportunities of Sims when switching households.

NRAAS Overwatch: The primary purpose of this mod is to act as a periodic clean up system for correcting errors and eliminating junk that accumulates over a regular play-session.

NRAAS Portrait Panel: This mod changes the Portrait Panel to display a maximum of 24 Sim portraits, useful for playing overstuffed families.

NRAAS Porter: This mod adds a custom version of the import and export system used to create Library families. With this, it is possible to transfer entire towns worth of sims, preserving relationships across households, and reducing the amount of manual intervention required afterward.

NRAAS Relativity: This mod can be tuned to change the speed at which time flows during the course of a sim-day.

NRAAS Relationship Panel: This mod changes the Relationship Panel. Changes have also been made to correct the "red box" relationship error that occurs when the window bounces while displaying certain types of sims.

NRAAS Register: This mod alters the rules governing role assignment in the game, allowing sims to maintain regular careers without losing their roles. In addition, it provides the ability to select which sim you want to perform specific roles in town. 

NRAAS Returner: This mod provides the ability to alter which interactions are autonomous and/or user-directed via an in-game interface, both ITUN and SocialData based.

NRAAS Saver: This mod prompts the user to save after a given amount of play-time.

NRAAS Story Progression: This mod is a non-core story progression replacement. The EA story progression will be disabled by this mod, and a new, hopefully better, system is started in its place.

NRAAS Story Progression Extra (module): This module contains the expanded scenarios of Story Progression which failed to fit into the scope of any of the other modules. (Must have the base-mod installed for this module to work properly).

NRAAS Story Progression Money (module): This module contains the expanded money scenarios for use with Story Progression. (Must have the base-mod installed for this module to work properly).

NRAAS Sims Drinks: This mod adds custom moodlets to the game when your Sims have drinks to simulate them being drunk.

NRAAS Tempest: This mod provides a more detailed approach to controlling weather on a town-by-town basis, providing the ability to adjust weather profiles on an daily basis during any particular season.

NRAAS Woohooer: This mod alters the romantic game systems allowing for more relaxed rules when compared to EA's. It also allows for teen woohoo and pregnancy along with risky woohoo.

NRAAS Woohooer Toilet Stall (module): This module for Woohooer integrates the toilet stalls, adding support for Woohoo interactions. (Must have the base-mod installed for this module to work properly).

NRAAS Woohooer KamaSimtra (module): This is a custom skill to facilitate tracking of woohooing. It provides a series of optional challenges that can be completed for improved post woohoo moodlets. (Must have the base-mod installed for this module to work properly).

These are mods that affect Create-A-Sim and the Sims genetics.

CAS Zoom In + Pets: This mod allows the camera in CAS to zoom in closer, including pets.

CAS Lighting Mod: This mod enhances the lighting in CAS.

CAS Room Recolored: A custom/recolored CAS background instead of the original one.

Pearly Whites Default Teeth: A realistic default teeth replacement.

Stand Still in CAS: This mod gives Sims more of a gender-neutral, natural-looking, standstill animation in CAS.

Sliders: This mod realistically enhances Sims facial and body features in CAS.

Teen Neck Edit: This mod allows Teen males to wear Adult male clothing without a neck glitch.

More Clothing Rows: This mod adds extra clothing rows in Create-A-Sim.

These are mods that affect the environment.

BrntWaffles Frozen Lighting Mod: A default replacement lighting mod that overrides the lighting in all worlds. It makes the environment look so much prettier, and not dark or gloomy.

Realistic Clouds: More realistic and improved clouds. This mod is compatible with all lightning mods.

Snow But Better: An override filled with textures to make your game more frosty looking and even more realistic if you're into those sorts of things!

Improved Environmental Shadows: This mod enhances the shadows in-game.

Project renaissance: This mod can adds a little realism to your game, the vegetation will look much more realistic.

These are mods to help enhance gameplay.

Better Greets: This mod aims to solve that and expand upon the possibilities by making Sims’ greetings also take into account things like personality traits, social group and relationship status.

Cigarette Smoking Mod: This mod allows Sims to smoke/purchase cigarettes and nicotine gum.

Deep Conversations Mod: This mod gives you some insight on what your Sims are talking about and often lets you choose what your sim will say, which may affect their relationship positively or negatively.

Enhanced Hospitals: This mod improves upon the hospitals by adding more features to it, such as abortion, donation services, sex reassignment, and surrogacy. 

More Complex Recipes: This mod makes existing recipes more complex by changing or adding ingredients.

No Fridge Shopping: This mod replaces the meal-making interactions on the fridge with custom ones that check whether the Sim has the required ingredients to make the meal or snack.

NPC Romance: This mod attempts to breathe some life into your Sims’ NPC friends and romantic interests by allowing them a chance to advance their relationship with your Sims.

Online Center: This mod adds a set of new interactions to computers and smartphones, such as eShopping, reading eBooks, checking the PlumbBook.

Retuned Attraction System: This mod revises a bunch of the parameters that control the attraction system; changing it to be more selective in-game.

Sim State: This mod focuses on adding ownable stores to the game. (LINK DELETED)

Taxi Charge: This mod will charge sims for Taxi rides.

Violence and Aggression: This mod adds a list of violence social interactions.

Attend University Online: This mod allows sims to work towards completing a university degree on the computer.

εϊз Gameplay Fix Mods

These are mods to help fix any gameplay errors/mistakes from EA.

The Smooth Patch 2.0: This mod alters the speed at which the game's processing runs, which improves the overall performance of the game and some loading times. Most noticeably in Create- A-Sim, Create-A-Style and Buy/Build.

Thumbnail Camera Edits: This mod contains some edits to the INI files that control the camera positioning the game uses for generating thumbnails.

No More Zombies: This mod disables Zombies during the Full moon.

Random Sim Fixes: This mod attempts to fix issues with and improve randomly generated and aging up Sims (such as pudding face) in a non-intrusive, non-core way.

Route Fix: This mod reduces the amount of time sims will stand around  trying to figure out how to get where they are going, checking for obstacles, and waiting on other sims to move before going around them.

Shimrod’s Autonomy Fixer: This mod makes the autonomy run more frequently, such that auto-Sims will not stand around as long before deciding what to do next, they choose the next action quicker. 

No (or fewer) Automatic Memories: This mod stops the memory scrapbook from filling up with useless memories that then have to be manually deleted to make room for custom memories or to keep save files small.

No Social Groups: This mod disables all Social Group Influence gain and removes any existing Influence from all Sims.

No Mutant Hair or Eyes: This mod forces all newborn sims to have their parents' or (if they exist) grandparents' eye and hair color. There is no chance of a mutated color being chosen.

All Traits for All Ages: This mod unlocks all visible traits for all ages, baby through elder.

Annoyances Disabler: This mod turn off paperboys for every family or if you don't like the free ingredients that the game adds to your fridge.

Get To Know Fix: This mod fixes the broken get to know code and enables more discoverable traits. 

Spring Cleaning - An Assortment of Vaguely Spring-Related Tweaks: This is a collection of four pure script mods that make a variety of tweaks with the aim of providing a bit more fun and realism to springtime activities.

Spicy Animation Fix: This mod fixes the fire breathing animation error when a sim gets the Spicy or Too Spicy moodlet that forces them into the sitting animation, rather than playing the proper standing animation.

User-Directed Scolding + Other Punishment Tweaks: This mod tweaks parts of the punishment system from Generations. It will warn you with a pop-up whenever the game tries to force a sim to scold a misbehaving child/teen so you can stop them if you wish.

Home Video Camera Fix: This mod changes the speed of the home video from Generations to a slower, more efficient speed.

University Life Visual Fixes: This mod includes fixes for a few visual mess-ups EA made with University Life.

No Camera Fade: No fade in camera view or first person.

Less Or No Laundry On The Floor: This mod can either reduce the amount of laundry piles that appear on the floor in a 24 hour period once a Sim gets changed to complete a particular task, or can eliminate laundry piles appearing on the floor forever.

Faster Gardening: This mod reduces the time needed for weeding, watering and harvesting plants, and therefore makes gardening much faster. 

Pigtails Glitch fix: This is a core mod that fixes the infamous 'pigtails glitch' caused by CC hairstyles.

Pick up Toddler fix: This mod does in detail, is a simple fix that now sims will always route to the toddler to pick them up no matter where they are, while the toddler waits and stays in place. They can also pick up them up at whichever angle, which doesn't always look the best but I've also replaced the animations so the transition between the toddler sitting on the floor and being picked up is smoother.

Cross Eye Fix: This mod is an experimental fix for Sims going cross eyed.

Sims need less Space: This mod allows your sims to need half of the space for all interactions, which vastly improves routing in small spaces.

Keep Your Hair: This mod allows NPCs to keep their own hair.

Toddler Routing Fix: This mod makes it so toddlers won't "fall down" anymore while routing, which would cause them to continuously sit down or start crying and cancel their interaction.

εϊз Pregnancy Mods

These are mods that affect pregnancies in the game.

Mixed Feelings About Pregnancy: This mod allows pregnant sims to express feelings about their pregnancy.

More Pregnancy Interactions: This mod adds new social interactions between pregnant sims and sims of all ages. Another part is an overhaul of the pregnancy announcement interaction.

More Seasons Interactions For Pregnant Sims: This mod enables various seasonal interactions for pregnant sims.

These mods impact babies and toddlers in the game.

No Stretch Children Can Series: These mods convert adult motion to child one. Children can use objects with no stretch

Blush Baby: A default skin blend for babies. (LINK DELETED)

Beetle Eyes: Accessory contacts for babies. 

Little Baby Wisps: Little hair wisps for babies that will show the baby’s real hair color at birth.

Sleeper Footies: Babies are now born with cute onesies and legs. No more burrito babies!

Better Playdates: This mod allows toddler-children to have playdates.

Breastfeeding Mod: This mod adds a breastfeeding interaction to the game.

White Formula Default Replacement Bottle: This mod replaces the green milk bottle with a white milk bottle.

Biggest Little Mod For Toddlers: This mod enhances the gameplay of a toddler.

More Toddler Interactions: This mod adds new interactions for toddlers, so now you can do a lot more with them, such as bathing them, talking to them, literally tossing them in the air and more.

More Play, Playmat:  An interaction where babies can actually play on the mat.

Toddler Food and Snacks: This mod adds two interactions to the high chair to feed toddlers meals or snacks.

Toddlers Extra Activities: This mod allows Toddlers to do extra activities.

Toddler Foods and Snacks: This mod adds two interactions to the high chair to feed toddlers meals or snacks. There are 11 meals and 5 snacks. Similar to Growing Together, toddlers will love, like or hate certain foods.

Toddlers Can Learn To Walk Alone: In this mod, toddlers will finally be able to learn to walk by themselves, no adults or store walker required!

Toddlers Can Sit With Sims: This mod allows toddlers spend even more quality time with their parents and/or siblings!

Functional Baby Carrier:  An actual functional baby carrier inspired from the Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack.

Tooth Fairy Mod: This mod gives child-aged sims the chance to lose their teeth and get money from the Tooth Fairy.

Sims Can Hand Over Babies & Toddlers: This mod allows sims to pass babies and toddlers to other sims.

Growing Pains: This mod aims to make younger sims’ personalities more dynamic.

Children Can Repair Base Game Objects: This mod allows children to repair objects.

School Additions: This mod allows child/teen sims to call in sick or ask for school sick day and manually attend after school activities.

Pet Bowl Requires Food: Instead of watching your money disappear into thin air when you fill the pet bowl, now watch your money disappear into the grocery store void (or your supermarket owner’s pockets, if you please).

Build/Buy Catalog Search: This mod simply adds a search button to Buy and Build mode. 

One More Slot Please: This mod allows you to place objects anywhere in your sims house.

Facial Expressions Converted From The Sims Medieval: This is a replacement mod that swaps out The Sims 3's facial idle animations with their The Sims Medieval equivalents, plus some additional tweaks.

Clean UI: This mod changes the UI color from Blue to White.

Ultimate UI Overhaul: This mod changes the UI color in Create-A-Sim.

Modern Map Tags: This mod changes the map tags with clean, simple, minimalistic design.

Fast Camera Change: This mod makes the camera move faster when switching between sims/lots.

High Resolution Speech and Thought Bubbles: A default replacement for headline effects. It is more clean and sharp, graphic wise!

"Hi, Aunt Jess, I'm settled in my apartment. Movers just left," you spoke aloud, using your wireless headphones to make a call. Your Aunt had insisted you let her know you were all moved in, but failed to answer.

"It's small, like I told you, but I really wanted to start out on my own. Only child thing," you laughed. "Uhmm...I know you wanted me to have a roommate, to be safe, but...I promise I'll think about it more. Once I get to know some people here in the city."

Flopping down on your favorite green chair, you let out an exhausted sigh. "Anyway, you can text me back if you want. I'm taking a shower - if I can find my towels - and going to sleep. Early start tomorrow. Love you, bye."

Removing your headphones, you placed them carefully back in their charging case and turned on some relaxing music. It took you a few minutes, but you did find the box labeled 'towels' so you could freshen up. You had packed a bag with all your essentials - including some cozy pajamas for your first night in the city, and a smart suit for your first day as a research assistant tomorrow.

You were starting a new life in a new city. Orphaned when you were twelve-years-old, you were raised throughout your teenage years by your dad's much younger sister, Jessina. You were much closer in age - so much so that you occasionally fought like sisters, but she made good on her promise to take care of you, supporting you all the way through your master's degree.

Now you were in the city to finish up your doctorate, while working as an assistant to one of the most brilliant geneticists in the world - Miguel O'Hara.

You had only met him over a video call - he was inexplicably unavailable on your only in-person interview. He had a reputation for being tough, no-nonsense, devastatingly brilliant and dangerously handsome. You didn't know him yet, but the handsome part, you could attest to. Seeing him on your computer screen made your body temperature rise and your heart rate double.

Who knew what would happen in person?

But you were a professional, and Miguel's assistant was the perfect entry job for you. So you would have to ignore his gorgeous, thick waves and razor sharp jaw line. You were here to work.

Miguel sat perched on the edge of an abandoned building, head in his hands, fingers digging into his temples.

Everything hurt.

Conveniently, he didn't have to concentrate to keep his talons from piercing his own skin. So thankfully, talons were not the source of his pain. Still...it hurt.

With a huff, he jerked his hands away, banging a fist on the roof's edge...

...which promptly caused the aged brick to crumble beneath his super strength.

"Shit," he mumbled, pushing himself up. Sighing loudly, he decided he better call it a night. Even with above-average stamina, he still wanted to be ready to meet his new assistant tomorrow at the lab.

It was just so hard to concentrate when he felt so weak.

"I can't," he uttered, annoyed with himself for thinking of blood when he needed to be thinking about tomorrow - about you.

But it had been so long. Too long since he fed - since he felt the rush of his fangs sinking into a warm, fleshy neck. Since he had sucked the life out of someone despicable. Or fed slowly as he'd fucked a lover. The blood wasn't only a life-sustainer, after all. It was an aphrodisiac. He had the Evarcha culicivora - the vampire spider to thank for his blood appetite.

But something had gone wrong when Miguel was unknowingly afflicted with spider DNA years ago. The vampire spider's appetite for blood - specifically blood-filled females - plagued him. He could and did still eat regular food, but he found himself signficiantly weakened if he didn't feed on occasion.

He couldn't deny how incredible it felt - the warmth on his tongue - the pliant body in his arms. He told himself he kept to the moral high ground, killing on the most deplorable criminals. And even though his fangs emitted a non-toxic venom, which could paralyze, he told himself that each and every pleasurable feeding was consensual.

He was half right. The sex was definitely consensual because Miguel was a brilliant, beautiful and seductive man. The feedings, though? Not always. How could he exactly explain to someone that he was a creature who needed to feed on blood to live?

'Hi, I'm Miguel. I'm really smart and I will make you see God in bed, but, by the way, I want to drink you. But I'm not a vampire, I swear!'

Ludicrous.

Squeezing his eyes shut, he shook those thoughts from his head. It was next-level annoying to have super powers at his disposal but still feel like shit half the time.

Blood was the key.

But in sustaining his body, he felt he was losing his soul.

Please Please Help!

So we're packing up to move and our mover is amazing; He's only charging $50 an hour to pack everything up so today we spent $360 on that (seven hours works + $10 tip since all I had were $20s). It's halfway done, and my family is going to pack some stuff up tonight, so that's going well. I would like to have another $500 to cover the movers, but that's a highball estimate and that's just in case my loan doesn't come in tomorrow.

However, I'm a wreck. I resprained my already sprained ankle on Christmas Day to the point I am now wearing a walking boot-cast, and after starting a new medication for my psoriatic arthritis, I came down with a case of shingles. I am in a lot of pain and all I want to do is sleep and not cry from the pain in my ankle and my shoulder/chest where the shingles rash is.

So I'm setting the goal to $1000 so I can cover the movers and get a hotel for at least as long as I've got to be taking my antiviral medication (five times a day with food each time). Please help if you can? Please also reblog whether you can help or not? I also have Ca$happ and Venm0.

“You ruin my chance at happiness and the universe seems that you get a date.” He says with his hand on his hips looking a bit disheveled from the chase earlier as he scoops some chocolate ice cream for Cassie.

“I mean I wouldn’t call it a date. Just two friends hanging out and watching a movie.”

“Where you have to fix your hair?” Steve interrupted giving her a judgmental look. 

“I just want to look nice. Just because you lost your King status doesn’t mean the Princess has to fall too. I still have a year left in that hellhole and I would rather do it in decent standing.” 

“Fine, don’t make this a habit though.” Steve sighs as he hands her the ice cream she ordered.

Cassie goes to one of the employee bathrooms and gets ready. She makes herself look like how she does at the beginning of the day as best she can adjusting her glasses to see the results. When she is satisfied with the result, she throws on an outfit consisting of a striped darker neon blue top with darker pants. She nods to herself in approval as she puts her uniform and the rest of the items, she used to get ready away into a backpack which she brings with her outside to wait for Eddie.

As Cassie waits for Eddie she sits on a bench and reads a book as others pass her by. She can feel the cold feeling on her neck and rejects it immediately and it goes quiet. She continues trying to read but the sense of unease she gets from just how easy it was to just stop the process makes her eyes wander on the page without understanding a word. 

“I didn’t think you would be seen reading in public,” Eddie says as he plops down next to Cassie on the bench causing a few odd looks from the teenage population. 

“Well, I can afford to make a few social blunders.” She says with a laugh. He then finally notices she is wearing something different and it is fairly obvious to her, even without the unintentional mind reading. “Did you really expect me to go out in my work uniform?”

“I mean… yeah. I didn’t expect you to dress up for little ole me.”

“I have to keep up the Pretty Princess persona.” She says with a little hair toss causing him to laugh and she puts the book into her bag.

“Did you want me to put that in the van?”

“That would be amazing. I was worried I would have to smuggle it into the theater.” Cassie's eyes flash with an idea as Eddie runs off to his van and puts her bag in the back. When he returns Cassie has a mischievous smile. “You just gave me an idea. I’ll sneak us in and you get the snacks. Deal?”

“Woah. I didn’t know you did things against the rules.”

“You’re gonna be more surprised the more you get to know me, Eddie.” She gestures for him to follow her along the outside of the mall. They mostly blend into the darker corners of the quieter side of the mall. Movers continue to run around them and heed them no mind which they return in favor. Eventually, they get to the side door that Cassie has in mind and she starts rummaging around in her pockets before she eventually produces her spare key. “You can thank Mary for this.” She then turns the key and they enter the building, unaware of the Russians with guns loading things meer yards away.

Eddie peeks his head out from behind the door right next to the theater to make sure that there are no more eyes. When that happens he nods and Cassie pops out with him as he sneaks over to the snacks and she sneaks into the theater to find some seats next to each other. 

Luck seemed to appreciate the duo as Cassie quickly found two seats a row or two down from the middle and in the center. She sees the jocks to the left and some soon-to-be freshmen on the right and decides to sit next to the jocks. 

“Hey there Cassie. What are you doing here alone?”

“Oh. I’m not alone. My friend is just grabbing some snacks.”

“Really?” The guys look at each other. Cassie tries to keep a straight face as she sees the two conspiring and Eddie walking towards the group trying not to trip on the stairs. “Well, how would you feel about a double date after this?” Cassie awkwardly laughs. “What’s so funny?”

“The fact that you two think you have a chance with the two of us,” Eddie says with a cackle as he springs into his seat from the row above causing the freshmen next to him to jump. 

“You’re friends with the freak?” The jock looks disgusted. 

“Well…” She draws out her words and Eddie looks at her unsure. “Yep!” She nods to herself as she awkwardly puts her arm across his shoulder to pull him closer. “As far as I can recall he is in fact my best friend.” He is shocked for a few moments before he leans into it sliding his arm under hers to lean closer to the jocks and make a face at them. They give him a disgusted look as they get up and move. Eddie waves goodbye to them and gives a mock kiss before the duo laugh and settle back normally into their seats. 

“Nice acting there Cassie. If I didn’t know any better I would have thought you were serious.” Eddie pats her on the shoulder as he retracts his arm and Cassie gives him a look as she tries to find her words. 

“Well. considering I don’t count my brother’s friends and his exes you kinda are my only actual friend.”

“Really?”

“I mean have you seen anyone show up that wasn’t after me going to a party they were throwing? Like stay at work and hang out with me? Other than you.”

“Well, shit sweetheart.” He forks his fingers in his hair. “I’m honored.” They exchange a gentle smile until the previews start. 

“Now while friendship is good and all I would like some food.” Eddie then pulls out a popcorn and some candy and shakes them around in awe causing him to drop some of the popcorn which Cassie discretely catches with her powers and pops into her mouth when she assumes no one is watching.

Cassie and Eddie walk out of the mall as it closes its doors to the public, having seen the last show of the night. They walk slowly to the car, tired from the day and the sugar high dying down, but also from just a fun time. Eddie rushes up to the van first and opens the door giving a grand gesture for her to enter which she does in suit. Eddie then rushes around to his side of the car and hops in carefully starting the car… and violently peels out of the mall parking lot back to Hawkins. 

“Thanks again for inviting me out. I had a lot of fun.” Cassie drums her fingers on the dash in time with the music. 

“I should have done it sooner.”

“I mean we did kinda just recently go from never in a million years would we talk to each other to what I hope is the start of a nice friendship.” She shrugs as she looks out into the night not noticing the slight look Eddie gives her… or the girl in the middle of the road.

“SHIT!” Eddie quickly slams on the brakes. As he does this headlights of a familiar car turn on and Cassie freezes. 

“Fuck…” 

“Where did the girl go?”

“I don’t know Eddie but we need to get the fuck out of here.” As she says this both sides of the van are slammed into by bodies. Well, they look like people but Cassie can sense something off. “Eddie please!” Cassie sees the figure in the car get out. Eddie quickly reverses the car trying to avoid hitting the people on either side of the car and quickly guns it forward, but not quick enough. 

One of the jocks from earlier shines brightly in the headlights of the van as he blocks their exit with his body and something is wrong with him. His eyes look dead but also deranged. 

“What the fuck?!” Suddenly the passenger door and the driver door unlock without either of them doing it and Cassie quickly grabs the door but Eddie doesn’t notice until his door is open and he is getting dragged out.

“Eddie!” Cassie cries out as he is quickly pulled into the darkness and a few hands reach out from the driver's side and grab her shoulders, arms, and neck and drag her too into the darkness.

She can feel binds being applied to her arms and legs and a gag being applied as she is getting dragged off towards Brimborn. 

The next time she can see is when she is carried down the stairs to the basement along with a person in front of her squirming and freaking out with muffled words. Eddie! She is placed beside him but in a concerningly long line of adults and teenagers lined up on the floor in front of a dark room. The people who brought her here are controlled by this thing which Cassie has still yet to see. 

The two are placed next to each other on the floor as they watch one of the people up front get dragged away by a fleshy appendage from the dark causing Eddie and Cassie to both panic and draw near to each other. Eddie tries to shake his binds and says something through the binds and Cassie’s eyes flicker around trying to ground herself for Eddie. 

The factory is pretty bare. It is abandoned after all. Not a lot around. Not on the ceiling. Not on the floor. Only people. At this thought her eyes go wide as she quickly closes them and her eyeballs flicker around as a second transparent version of herself gets up from where she is to look around. It looks in everyone’s pockets, both mind-controlled and not for something of use. All hope is seemingly lost as she feels the only pair of scissors get dragged towards the monster until she hears the sound of a blade which summons her to investigate. In the corner is a girl she recognizes as a cheerleader cutting the bounds of those who have been converted. 

Cassie’s eyes flash open and she locks her focus on the blade. The girl sets it on a nearby table as she waits for the monster to continue. Cassie’s nose begins to bleed as she discreetly moves the blade from the table towards her. Eddie’s eyes go wide and he goes quiet as his eyes snap towards the movement and Cassie elbows him to keep making noise. The blade jerks about in the air unsteady and Cassie shakes a bit bitting her lip to fight noises from coming out. Eventually, the blade ends up dropping next to her and she quickly reaches over for it and gestures for Eddie to move closer. When he does she grasps the blade firmly and slices him out. He stays on the ground and takes the blade to cut her free as well, slightly cutting her causing her to hiss and draw attention from those nearby. 

The two quickly get up and run for the stairs and a shriek from the darkness calls out as movement can be heard. Cassie rushes forward towards the stairs with Eddie right behind her. The two make it towards the top and Cassie starts to run for the car but hears Eddie scream behind her. She looks back to see the creature grasping Eddie’s ankle and those freaks rushing up the stairs. Cassie lets out a scream as she pushes a hand forward, causing the beast to cry out as the appendage on Eddie disintegrates away. Cassie starts to stumble away and Eddie scrambles up after her and helps guide her to the van and throws her in the back as he peels away with purpose. 

“What the fuck was that?!” Eddie screams as he presses the gas pedal all the way to the floor. Cassie looks around disoriented a bit as she gets thrown around in the back.

“What part?”

“All of it!” Eddie shrieks in panic as he quickly makes a left. 

“Go to your house,” Cassie says as her eyes begin to close a bit. “I’ll explain what I can but Steve can’t know.” 

When she opens her eyes again she is in the middle of a trailer park. She hears a car door slam and the door behind her opens and the warmth of the summer breeze flows in. She looks back and sees a concerned Eddie flash a nervous smile as he offers her a hand which she gladly takes to get up. Eddie then carefully guides her into the home and thankfully his uncle is not home at the time as he gets her set up on the couch. She feels the fabric under her hands and closes her eyes. Eddie grabs two glasses of water and brings them back to the couch, sitting next to her but avoiding putting his leg against it that was grabbed by the monster.

“So where should I start?”

“The beginning.”

“That is going to be too long. Long story short this thing it is.” Cassie then begins playing with her fingers. “So surprise. I am also a freak but in a different sense. Like the has powers sense. I don’t know how or why. I just know I have always had them. Steve doesn’t. Have them or know about them.” Cassie tries to string together coherent sentences and words. Eddie then gives her a look of bewilderment. “I’m not making sense am I?”

“No. It’s not that. It is just a lot. I found out that monsters like the things out of DND exist and there is at least one person with powers in our town...and I think I almost died.” Cassie then winces. “Or at least in a sense.”

“Yeah. Ever heard of Invasion of the Body Snatchers?” Eddie nods. “Imagine that but it is still your body, and your soul goes bye-bye.” She then takes a sip as she starts to blush a bit.

“What?”

“Umm… I didn’t want to bring this up, but they have been trying to get you for the past day or so. I’ve been throwing books and things at them to turn them away.” 

“Wait you were the one who knocked books down on those customers?” Cassie nods. “I thought they were too precise to be random.”

“Yeah. Well, you see. How do I put this? That thing wanted me as a host. Like you know when you picked me up on the side of the road?”

“I stopped you from that,” Eddie says shocked.

“Yep. Consider us even.” She laughs. 

“So you can just lift shit with thought right?”

“I don’t think so. I can do a lot of weird psychic stuff. Including reading minds.” She looks queasy as she says so. “And it is hard to turn off. Especially emotions. Especially when strong.”

“Prove it.” Eddie then stares her down. 

“In your room back there you have an amazing-looking guitar that you call sweetheart hung up on the wall. You keep your drug stash that you sell to the popular kids down below it and…” She stares him down as her nose begins to bleed a bit. “You are running low but need to find another person to buy from because Rick is in prison.” 

“Well, shit.”

“Yeah. It can get really annoying and hard to turn off sometimes. Mostly I just get emotions on the surface or I can tell when people are lying.” Eddie gets up to get a tissue and comes back. Cassie takes it and presses it to her nose. “Now onto the other things. I knew of them for a few days. Didn’t really do much but now they are multiplying like rabbits. I think they are just husks of people because I can’t sense them like a normal person.”

“Huh?”

“Like I can track people. Actual people. Not these things though. They are hiding themselves. The only thing I may catch is their souls being dragged into the abyss.”

“Fuck.”

“Yep. Welcome to the world of Pretty Princess Harrington. Actually. Never call me that. Please.” She rubs her head trying to alleviate her headache. Eddie looks at Cassie with sadness in his eyes as he gently moves to pull her into a hug.

“Must be a lot to deal with. Knowing everything but not being able to tell people.” Cassie seems to melt into the hug. “Especially in high school.” He then laughs. “I guess the freaks found each other in the end though.” Cassie doesn’t respond as she just keeps her position her head tucked into his shoulder into denim fabric. After a few minutes, she speaks up.

“Please don’t tell anyone about this. Not even Steve knows.”

“How does he not know his sister has powers?!”

“He’s sweet but not the sharpest knife. He just thinks this is all from the hospital visit I had a couple years back.” Cassie laughs and leans back to allow her to catch her breath. 

“Oh yeah. That was around the time that your terror persona died right?”

“You remember that?”

“Of course I do. Why do you think I had a buzz cut? I didn’t want these locks burned away from your improvised flame thrower.” He looks shocked and cradles his hair.

“I would say that is an overkill, but from one hair person to another I get it.” She sees him wince and her eyes flick down to his leg. “Everything good Eds?” 

“I mean I got stabbed or bit or whatever by some sort of Mind Flayer-like creature when it tried to drag me back.”

“Eddie! You should have led with that. You could have some weird rabies or something.” She says as she steadies herself to get up and go to the bathroom.

“Did you read my mind for that?”

“No. It’s just common sense. Where else would you put it in this place…” She then ponders. “Maybe the kitchen. Ok, I’ll give you that.” She then rushes back to him and whips out a first aid kit and starts rummaging through.

“How do you know how to do this stuff?”

“Steve is a dumbass who will either get hurt or continuously lose fights.” At this Eddie chuckles as Cassie prepares to dab peroxide on his leg. “And this is going to hurt.”

“What is going- OWWW!” Eddie tries to back away but Cassie has a strong grip on him and doesn’t let him move much as she dabs it.

“Do you want to die from a monster disease?” Eddie shakes his head. “I didn’t think so. Stay Still.” She continues to dab at it as carefully as she can. It seems practiced. 

“OWOWOWOWOWOW!” Steve screams out as Cassie holds the peroxide to his wound. 

“Sit still and maybe this wouldn’t hurt as much!” Cassie moves her hand away but as he is about to give a comeback she presses down again.

“You’re doing this on purpose.”

“No shit Sherlock.” Cassie then sighs, fighting off the chill at the base of her neck, the massive headache, and the heavy drag of tiredness. “You keep showing up back at home with worse and worse injuries that you won’t explain. This one you told me was Billy but I know this couldn’t have always been him.” Cassie closes her eyes with a sigh. “We used to tell each other everything. What happened?”

Steve seems to contemplate his next words, opening his mouth and closing it slightly on a loop. Cassie scoffs as she finishes up her work quickly and helps him to his room. “Just don’t die on me. It would be quite lonely without you Steve.” Before he can say much in response Cassie walks back to her room and surrenders to sleep.

Eventually, Cassie is satisfied with her work and finishes the wound off with a simple bandage wrapped around it. As she finishes up they sit in silence for a few moments before Cassie slowly gets up.

“I should head out.”

“Like hell you are. Those things know we know about the whole.” He then makes a gesture of a monster.

“Steve is gonna be worried sick.”

“How many times did he stay out and not tell anyone where he was and appear magically the next morning?”

“…you have a fair point. Kinda feel like this is also a legitimate reason to stay out...” Eddie slowly gets up and together they work to quickly make a bed out of the couch with some blankets and pillows. Eddie starts to head towards the couch but Cassie stops him.

“Nope. I got it.”

“But…”

“I am not sleeping on that bed considering when I was poking around earlier you couldn’t even remember the last time you washed the sheets.”

“You don’t need to say more. I, on the other hand, will gladly take the bed.” Eddie walks towards her. “Sleep well sweetheart. And don’t go rummaging through my mind in my sleep. I know it may be tempting.” Cassie laughs as they meet in the hall by the bathroom. “I just realized I never said thank you earlier.”

“Don’t mention it. I am not in the habit of letting my friends die.” Cassie says as she smiles at him. He makes it back to his room and as he shuts the door the smile on Cassie’s face drops and is replaced with guilt as she moves to lie down on the couch. It takes a while but with the sound of Eddie’s loud snores grounding her, she is somehow able to at least get a few hours of sleep.

T'au Ethereal Idea: T'au Crypteks

just a thought on how to spice up the ethereals a bit, because honestly the bigger problem with them is less "are they secretly/openly #evil and or just stupid?" and more so to do with how boring and underdeveloped they kinda are as a group. there's no spice to even make them engaging as antagonists, in part because no one at GW seems much bothered to really try and delve into them further.

so, my own stupid idea: the t'au ethereals as the effective political class of the t'au [the water caste more so being administrators] and spiritual leaders for the t'au, have competing political and spiritual philosophies. They keep it under wraps and buried deeply in their own living quarters and ethereal only spaces of course [to the point that even the imperium is only vaguely aware of it], less the empire start fracturing into disunity and disharmony, but it exists and is absolutely brutal in terms of debate with less savoury methods only kept from escalating through honour duels and the general need to be discrete. the big ones are

paradoxcists: believe that since the galaxy is inherently contradicting, then the only way to achieve unity, harmony and the greater good is through accepting those contradictions onto themselves so that the other t'au castes and client races of the t'au can remain "spiritually pure", thus attaining enlightenment through sacrifice of their own purity. hence paradoxcists. in overall practice its the largest sect of thought at the moment in the ethereal caste and dominates the t'au empires general policies and approaches to the wider galaxy, but also its individual adherents tend to vary wildly in their own beliefs and practices the only unifying trend of the sect being a belief in contradiction and a general conservative bent to keeping the empire basically on the course its already on. with the opening of the great rift its lost a lot of its popularity not helped by its largest political mover aun'va being dead.

honourists: believe that enlightenment can only be achieved through honing the body as well as the mind and thus tend to be martially inclined, they popularized the honour blade both in its use and its training methods and are one of the oldest sects of thought in the empire. they also believe that martial force needs to be carefully applied so despite their martial nature and general interest in and advocacy for the empires military needs they dont much get along with

martialists: the most militarist sect of ethereal thought whos beliefs essentially boil down to 'harmony can only be achieved through overwhelming force, suppressing disharmonious groups and good ol fashioned violence'. were a fringe group for a time even often a suppressed one among the ethereals, but since the damocles crusade and hive fleet gorgon they've been gaining more support and power in response to the general state of the universe and its myriad of threatening frightening things. since the opening of the great rift and the 4th sphere expansion going the way it did however, they've started being suppressed again out of concerns they're going to light needless fires/conflicts both internally and externally.

communilists: a sect that firmly believes harmony can only truly be achieved through diplomacy and thus disdain and avoid violent methods as far as they can, like the honourists they're one of the oldest sects of ethereal thought and are often referred to as 'traditionalists' by other ethereals due to their emphasis on diplomacy and disdain for violence being what originally united the t'au castes and brought them out of the 'mon'tau'. a belief in negotiation does not strictly mean a naive approach to the world however and communilists well rarely on the battlefield tend to have some of the trickiest and most intricate minds.

singularitists: a radical sect with a number of internal denominations prone to competition, singularitists are classified as such because they all believe harmony can only be achieved through a singularity event which they aim to help facilitate. important denominations include - nominal singularists, who passively believe in a singularity event and are the most accepted denomination due to not being prone to dangerous schemes like other denominations tend to - unitary mentalists, a smaller denomination who seek to engineer a singularity through biological means. once a small but tolerated denomination interested in hive minds observed in client races, the emergence of the tyranids and observation of 'genestealers' radicalized the unitary mentalists quite heavily and they are now regarded as particularly dangerous radicals that need to be heavily suppressed should their beliefs become known by their collegues. -warp unionists, a growing denomination quite secretive in their beliefs who regard the warp as a potential avenue to achieve singularity through. they aren't sure how to achieve this due to the t'aus poor understanding of the warp even among the ethereals in the know of it but have been developing methods to capture and control 'warp construct creatures' so that they can analyze how they work to further their understanding of the warp. with the great rifts opening they have been somewhat lionized in their beliefs and have particular interest in facilitating the worship of the 'tau'va goddess' among client races unlike their colleagues. - intelligence singularitists, the largest and most powerful sect of singularitists with an interest in artificial intelligence to achieve singularity. developed alongside the development of tau ai, they have grown exceptionally in power following aun'vas death due to deals cut with the paradoxicsts to provide help with the 'ai mock up' of the supreme ethereal. if you use singularitist your likely going to be referring to them.

synthesists: the largest liberal sect of ethereal beliefs that primarily believe in 'integration among castes' as opposed to separation to achieve harmony. the specifics vary wildly between individuals from moderates who simply believe in cohabitation between castes and sharing of useful skills between them, to the most radical of synthesists who seek to abolish the caste system entirely and promote 'intermixing' of castes.

elementalists: a reactionary sect primarily positioning themselves in opposition to the synthesists. elementalists believe in the the strict separation of castes with radical elementalists believing that new castes should be created to further compartmentalize the skills of the t'au to further harmony in the empire.

The Lemon Legacy: Generation 1, Chapter 10 - A Panic! at the Disco

The girls work off their turkey hangovers the next morning at the Movers and Shakers Gym. Well, Summer and Ophelia do. Libby soaks in the tub the entire time. I respect it.

They're hitting the club with Travis tonight, so they've got to look and feel their best!

Maybe Ophelia's still riding off the high of being a Notable Newcomer. Maybe she's just excited to go clubbing for the first time in her life. Maybe she's just, as the kids say, "feeling herself". For the first time in forever, she feels like she's living life. That's kinda hot.

Summer: Well that was a complete and utter disaster.

Libby: Sorry Trav. Maybe your dream girl is here!

Ophelia: I doubt it. It's all random townies.

Travis: Yeah, and the bar doesn't have a bartender. Weird.

Ophelia: Okay, maybe we can turn this around.

Summer: What, and find a club with a vampire?

Travis: Look, I appreciate the effort, but maybe we should just call it a night. I doubt an intelligent, beautiful Sim is going to walk into this random bar at 3 AM.

The time finally came, the house was ready. Bernie put the old house on the market and they began packing for the transition.

Hana also had some news she had decided it was time to go back to Brindelton. She loved them but she just wasn't happy here. Her sister Saori was back there and she missed her home. Bernie had hoped Oasis Springs would grow on her, but sadly that wasn't the case.

Bernie understood, but he asked her to stay through the move and help them get set up to which she agreed, "what's another few months."

Evie graduated from High School early, at the age of 15. She was eager to start her career and head towards the bright lights of Del Sol Valley.

They arrived at the new house on a Friday evening in late June 1951. They had only been in the little house for a year, which was enough. The movers had spent the day bringing everything over, Cerise couldn't wait to see how it looked during the day.

The house was much larger. They had room to entertain.
