the harder they fall was so good BUT it ran into the issue making fictional stories about real life people always does

OH SHIT!!!!!!!!!!’#but then you learn that these are based on real people and then you google and see that the lone light skin woman#(and she really was the only light skin character in the movie lmao)#was dark skin and big#and then you also learn that half of the rufus buck gang is supposed to be mixed black and indigenous including even rufus himself#like they still could’ve kept the cast majorly dark skin (especially in the case of zazie)#but the erasure of their actual backgrounds is fucked#and this all could’ve been rectified if they either a) hired the correct actors or b) just made the entire story based on fiction#the harder they fall#babbles
