I think Insider's design is great actually
it's got complexity in simplicity, with a distinct silhouette but detailed rendering. it's smooth and sleek with GOOD SHAPE, i really like how his rigid uniform contrasts with his flowy cape
the colour pallete is well chosen, and the value distribution is competent, his white cape draws your eyes up to his face.
there's a couple of details in the design that might be symbolism or a hint towards his role and personality, such as the use of asymmetry in his little cape thing as well as the short sleeves (which is actually a first in notorial hall characters) and gloves combo.
Overall it's a good design which manages to express his role and also hint at potential arcs his character might go through, as well as not being overdesigned (for gacha game standards).
i genuinely think this is a really strong design and i don't really think it's 'boring', it's just 'practical-core'. He looks great and people are being wayy too harsh on him he got that federal agent drip okay

so i’m watching columbo for the first time
and i just got to the first episode where you see columbo for a little bit before he meets the murderer
and it’s so fucking funny i’m not done with the episode but his bumbling persona has turned up 500% in the course of 90 seconds it really feels like he instantly had a feeling and reacted accordingly

many people already interpret columbo as a supernatural/fey entity but i want to take it one step further: the world of the show has dozens of copies each of jack cassidy and robert culp, and columbo's true purpose is to take down both the jack cassidy lone agents and the robert culp hivemind, to which taking down other murderers is incidental or just a good way to keep columbo's skills in practice

"what if the writers strike effects my favorite shows. ill literally die" is so unfathomable to me. we literally live in a golden age of access to a whole bunch of old media. you will survive

Songctober day 11: Lupin III Theme, vocal version (Yuji Ohno, Akiko)
He walks the line, one fine line
Though danger lies, he’ll be just fine

Going for the Alcatraz Connection opening version specifically because it’s my all time fave special and the amount of times I’ve watched it is frankly embarrassing

imo the funniest part of this whole thing is still the post like “if you enjoyed goncharov you should watch the movie where peter falk and john cassavetes play homoerotic mobsters” and half the tags were people genuinely wondering if they could trust that mikey and nicky was a real film
