I'm 25 today 😱
#listen i KNOW it's just a number i really do#and that youth is overrated and people don't start decaying once they're past this age#but god it's just weird#birthdays in general always feel weird for me#like.... (at the risk of sounding incredibly pretentious) hollow if that makes any sense#and something about this number is a harsh reminder of everything i didn't accomplish that i wanted to#i finished my undergrad but with a lower GPA than i wanted#i thought i'd have finished a masters degree by now and have an important job™️ whatever that even means#but mostly i thought i'd feel more sure of who i am and where i'm going#or feel like my life is a bit more my own#i still feel like i'm waiting for instructions or to Know what i'm supposed to be doing#and yet i also feel like im constantly in a rush trying to meet some arbitrary goal or deadline and Then i can be happy#idk this is getting long#i also have a LOT to be grateful for and that's what's most important
