WIP WEDNESDAYYYY

Tagged by @rhettsabbott to share some WIP shit. I really didn't know if I should post one of the navytim things or the lilscratch things but I eventually decided on a depressing post-game lilscratch moment.

“You want a drink?” She asks Alan.

“No,” he states bluntly. “I want to know what your endgame is.”

She takes another sip and shrugs. “This, I guess. Spending the rest of eternity mourning my love. Of course, you know what that's like, don't you?”

At this comment, Alan's eyes flash dangerously and he sets his jaw. He pushes Lilith against the wall, his arm pressed firm against her throat. She doesn't fight him.

“If it were still Scratch in there,” she rasps, stroking his cheek, “this would be really hot.”

“You have no idea what it's like to mourn the person you love!” Alan snaps, pressing harder into her neck. “You loved a sick bastard that created you to be loyal. That wasn't love! What Alice and I had, that was love!”

Lilith gives a small laugh. “Why do you say “had?” Alice is still alive.”

Alan's eyes widen, and he slams Lilith again. “Fuck you!”

“I'm telling the truth,” Lilith says hoarsely. “She's here. In the Dark Place. She didn't kill herself. Were you really stupid enough to believe that?”

His eyes soften, and he releases Lilith, who coughs and rubs her neck then takes another sip of her drink, which she's somehow managed not to spill.

“She's…here? How did…why…”

“She's trying to save you,” Lilith answers, taking a seat on the bed again. “She loves you.”

Alan feels like he's going to faint. His pulse skyrockets, his head is swimming. Alice isn't dead? She's here? What does that mean?

“Do you…” He begins softly, “do you know how to find her?”

Lilith, now back in her somber state, tilts her head. “Kind of.”

“What do you mean “kind of?” It's a yes or no question.”

“I know she can make Parliament Tower appear, like you can,” Lilith answers more clearly. “Go there, to your apartment. Maybe you'll find her there.”

Alan nods, and silence falls for a moment. Lilith stares at the floor, picking at her ripped tights, her head pounding. It still feels like a chunk of her brain has been excised– no, ripped out– and it hurts. Her heart feels empty, fluttering fast as if it's trying hard to keep her alive. She doesn't really want to be alive now.

“Why are you helping me now?” Alan breaks the silence. His voice is still soft.

Lilith shrugs. “Because I have nothing left to lose, and nothing left to gain. I have nothing, period. So why not? Why not tell you how to find your wife? If I can't have my love, I may as well help others find theirs.”

Alan raises an eyebrow. “So, what, you're good now? No more murder?”

“I don't…” She begins, then her throat tightens. She fights back tears, then finishes, “I don't murder alone. That was something Scratch and I did together. As partners. And you ruined that, so…”

“No more murder.”

He hates that he feels sorry for Lilith. That the companion and creation of his worst nightmare, who torments his friend, who killed and haunted and did whatever Scratch told her to, is someone to now have sympathy towards. For some reason, he can't bring himself to be mad at her. To want to stop her.

To kill her.

Once more, silence fills the room. Lilith's glassy eyes stare into nothingness found in the carpet, and Alan watches her. He wonders if Alice ever acted like that after his supposed death. Maybe that is what keeps him from putting Lilith in the ground with her lover.

“I'm going to try to find Alice,” he announces, stepping towards the door. “I'd say see you later, but I honestly hope I don't.”

Lilith laughs. “Yeah. Go on, get out of here.”

When Alan departs and Lilith can only see him from the back, she imagines it's Scratch, just for a second, and her hand weakly reaches out for him. But the moment it sets back in that this is Alan, her hand drops lifelessly against the bed, and tears roll down her cheeks. She takes another drink of her campari, the last of what's in her glass.

Then she throws it on the floor, hard, shattering it into pieces.

Tagged by @zevlor to share the last line(s) of a WIP. I have several, but decided to share one navytim and one lilscratch.

Navytim:

Navy rolls her eyes and playfully smacks him in the chest. “You know what I meant. I'm just saying, I hope you aren't too attached to it, because I'm not taking it off.” Tim feels the same warmth she feels, the joy, the affection. “We'll go shopping for a new jacket for me when we get outta this place.” She nods. “Sounds like a plan.”

And Lilscratch:

“Key word is “try,”” Lilith says, taking a seat on the bed. “They can't kill you. Not with the weapons in the real world. And contain you? Please. You're a force of fuckin’ nature, baby. They can't hold you.” Scratch’s eyes shoot daggers at her, but then soften, as he realizes she's right. In the back of his head, maybe that part Alan is curled up shivering in, he's thinking that they can and will. But the soft-spoken words from Lilith's lips counteract this, and he breathes easy for a moment.

Last Line Tag!!

Hiii I was tagged by @rhettsabbott to share the last line of a WIP!! I haven't been writing much bc creative block is holding me at gunpoint BUT I did write a bit of a lilscratch thing and this is the last line I wrote.

Alan hopes he never comes across a piece of Scratch or Lilith’s writing ever again. Gross.

The title of one of my lilscratch stories is named after prev song. I really don't know if I'll ever post it but I think the song (esp the version w vocals/lyrics) is really good for them

I haven't written anything substantial in at least a month. There's like a couple of small snippets of Angelina stuff and a subpar Lilscratch mini fic I probably wont post, but nothing I could even post a wip Wednesday about. Maybe I should do those lil prompt thingies...wheres that ask game. I went crazyyyy with the prompts in February with revchase. I like prompts.

My AW ocs names + their love interest names all just sound great together. Jillian + Ilmo is Jillmo. Josephine + Rose is Rosephine. Lilith + Scratch is like...well it doesn't fit like the others but Lilscratch is cute it's like "oh it's just a lil scratch." Navy + Tim is Navytim and it doesn't really fit but at the same time it does. I don't feel like coming up with convoluted lyrics based names for their pairings bc these just sound good to me.
