👋🏽 Hi Everybody !!!🙂 Hope everyone is doing well. It’s been a while I cannot lie, my anxiety got the best of me and I was slowly giving up on everything, but I was still #collectingrecords here and there, and listening, searching for a form of relief from my daily obligations then last night I found this #philcollins #album in the #pop section of my #vinylcollection . Honestly I never thought this #musicalpiece had much to offer until I dropped the needle on it and listened to it closely, and one thing I got from this #philcollinsalbum is a total absence of fear when it comes to experimenting with sounds. I think Phil Collins was on a trip, a discovery of this new tools few #artist had access to, knowing how new were the #linndrummachine #Rolanddrummachines and the #prophetsynthesizers during the beginning of the #eighties . Just the opening track #intheairtonight is enough to embark you for a voyage that only a valuable member of the legendary #progrockband #genesis can offer. The lyrics of the song #nowadays are considered a #standard , but that was not always the case. As a drummer Phil had to play the background most part of the time, so displaying such a level of vulnerability lyrically and vocally wasn’t as easy as it sounds on the record. If you have a doubt about the quality of this album like I had before playing it, just remember how many times this album has been #sampled in #hiphop , from #2pac to #nas . I personally played ‘’this must be love’’ and ‘’If Leaving Me Is Easy’’ an incredible amount of time.
