"MAKE YOUR OWN LUCK"

As the L.I.S.A. Project enjoyed success and grew beyond Little Italy, the surrounding area became a major hub for urban art in New York City and in 2015 project Founder and Curator Wayne Rada organized the @LoManArtFest to touch neighborhoods in surrounding Lower Manhattan. With increasing interest in the art has come a boom in development and I believe this ASVP piece painted at Kenmare and Mulberry Streets may have been a casualty, but not before becoming a popular print by the duo. Formed in 2009 Brooklyn-based ASVP is the artistic collaboration between Simon Grendene and Victor Anselmi whose graphic style, they say, pays a nod to advertising and pop and comic book cultures.  @thelisaprojectnyc/  @asvpart/

В следующем году Музей компьютерной истории намерен выложить в открытый доступ исходный код революционной операционной системы компьютера Lisa. Она была разработана в 1983 году под руководством Стива Джобса, сооснователя Apple. На момент выхода ОС имела множество уникальных функций и опере��ала своё время. И хотя сам Стив Джобс не создал «Лизу», он сыграл важную роль в её развитии. Именно Джобс убедил легендарную лабораторию Xerox PARC позволить команде Apple, работавшей над Lisa, опробовать её прототипы графических пользовательских интерфейсов, что помогло создать внешний вид ОС. На момент выхода «операционка» компьютера Apple Lisa была действительно прорывной. В ней были реализованы защищённая память, поддержка многозадачности, более сложная файловая система и функция файла подкачки, что по тем временам считалось огромным достижением для всего мира микроЭВМ. В ОС были предустановлены семь приложений: LisaWrite, LisaCalc, LisaDraw, LisaGraph, LisaProject, LisaList и LisaTerminal. По ряду причин ОС оказалась провальной, и компьютеры на её базе прекратили выпускать в 1986 году (всего было реализовано около 10 000 устройств). Одной из основных причин такого исхода оказалась слишком высокая стоимость компьютеров — порядка $10 000 или примерно $24 000 в переводе на нынешние деньги. “LIBERTY"

Two years before the LISA (Little Italy Street Art) project was launched Tristan Eaton first submitted a concept for this NYC wall, but told Mass Appeal the sketch was horribly misinterpreted by the church it overlooks and the project shelved. Armed with a new sketch and LISA support Eaton was ready to move ahead with this iconic New York image, painted at Mulberry and Canal Streets with the help of Shane Jessup. On a more personal level, however, he also wanted to add additional layers of meaning reflecting his perception of the American Dream. "Everyone comes here looking for the American Dream, but not everybody really makes it. You don't hear enough about those people." “BIG CITY OF DREAMS”

BoweryBoogie.com, covering New York City's Lower East Side since 2008, says that the beleaguered Allen Street Hotel, at Allen and Rivington Streets, was one of the worst eyesores in the 9-block area known as Hell Square. In 2012 a much-needed organization was created to bring a diverse group of artists together creating Manhattan's only mural arts district and taking back the streets for new generations of art fans and tourists. The LISA (Little Italy Street Art) Project began, appropriately enough, along historic Mulberry Street but given its success it has quickly expanded into the surrounding neighborhood and when once again crossing the Bowery into the Lower East Side in 2015, street art icon Tristan Eaton was tapped to create this aspirational work.  @tristaneaton  @thelisaprojectnyc​  @boweryboogie​

"AUDREY OF MULBERRY"

With the 2013 completion of this 7' x 12' portait of Audrey Hepburn at Broome and Mulberry Streets, NYC neighborhood news outlet DNAinfo calls her the "Fair Lady" of Little Italy. Painted a year after Wayne Rada founded The L.I.S.A. Project (Little Italy Street Art) he commented "Little Italy is a classic, historic place, and Audrey Hepburn encapsulates classic beauty." As New York City's only mural district the L.I.S.A. Project has thrived and more than 40 murals were completed in the first two years alone—and LA artist Tristan Eaton has become a mainstay also painting “Liberty” in 2013 and returning in 2015 to paint “Big City of Dreams.”  @tristaneaton​  @thelisaprojectnyc​  @dnainfony
