As the L.I.S.A. Project enjoyed success and grew beyond Little Italy, the surrounding area became a major hub for urban art in New York City and in 2015 project Founder and Curator Wayne Rada organized the @LoManArtFest to touch neighborhoods in surrounding Lower Manhattan. With increasing interest in the art has come a boom in development and I believe this ASVP piece painted at Kenmare and Mulberry Streets may have been a casualty, but not before becoming a popular print by the duo. Formed in 2009 Brooklyn-based ASVP is the artistic collaboration between Simon Grendene and Victor Anselmi whose graphic style, they say, pays a nod to advertising and pop and comic book cultures.  @thelisaprojectnyc/  @asvpart/

Grandfather, Reprographic poster, 2010 Lorimer and Metropolitan Growing up this was one of my favorite spots to hit in the city because one could stand in the stairwell of the subway and be hidden from plain view.
