one of my favorite ellie-verse canons is her and maeko matsuo being ex’s … it’s so juicy to me
#listen matsuo is such a non-important character but talking to her on noveria is FUN#i cant really decide when it is that they knew each other … matsuo says she was in the marines which i’ll assume was also the alliance#not sure how long she was on noveria for before we meet her .. i’m thinking they were a thing before akuze and broke it off when matsuo quit#something something difference of opinion on the alliance… matsuo was kind of the spark that ellie needed to start rethinking her job#that would give them 6 or 7 years of no contact after that … but then they meet again on noveria#ellie: what are the odds we meet again here of all places? small world huh#matsuo: i think you mean galaxy ..#god even though ellie is still technically on her mission she takes some time to reminisce with her … listen listen listen#matsuo: your asari friend seems to be looking over here quite often ..#liara: 👁️👁️#but like blue eyes#before they go off to peak 15 maeko is like ‘commander…’ you know trying to be professional#‘be careful on your mission ellie’ and she drops the formalities cos she means it#and like they know whatever happened between them is done but it’s still like :’) ya know#‘i will… watch yourself out here maeko…’ and then they don’t contact each other again until maybe after the war#HOOOOOOOO the ellie lore fucking gets me i see it all#sofi plays mele
