[How would you describe your music?]: Dreampop with garage and goth influences. Cocteau Twins were quintessential for me growing up. Lyrically, Kate Bush is my goddess. Riveting questions, by the way [eye roll]. Haven't gotten that one in a while.

[Where'd the band's name come from?]: "Okay, that's better, at least. You ever notice how stray cats always end up inside bodegas? I kind of always felt like a stray and this band is kind of like a bodega. Sometimes it's shit [laughs], but it's going to always be there. It's home. Rent-free. And our manager is the shop owner who takes care of us — even though he seems like he doesn't want to."

[Do you own a cat?]: "Yeah, a rescue named Suddenly. Like 'Suddenly Seymour'. Comedy horror musicals are weirdly my guilty pleasure and it's–was–my drunk duet song."

[Who'd you sing it with?]: [Frowns] "Next question."

[C'mon, tell us!]: [Is already tearing the mic off of themselves in a feral rage]

the cracked case: it's eddie, i mean alex

so i accidentally fell onto something that i wish i could unsee. and like the good friend i am, i dragged everyone with me into this rabbit hole (@rebelrayne , @whatisreggieshortfor & @csmicletters ). and it would be a disservice if i didn't drag the fandom with us too.

so here's how i ended up finding out that stick or twist alex is in fact eddie. all the evidence is under the cut (read at your own risk).

the why i believe alex is eddie rebranded?

so this could be a long discourse, about how i got to this conclusion after playing around with my edits and the islander pics. but that would take too long and i'm an introvert at heart. so, i'll just cut it short and present to you all the evidence.

exhibit a - as many of you pointed out, alex seems to have a different art style. well if you look at his art and at eddie’s art...what do you see? me, well i see a slight change but it's there. it eddie.

exhibit b - now i'm not that handy with the whole piecing together a new islander from existing parts. but remove alex's hair and put eddie's (the eyebrows, eyes and chin) match up. who do you get...eddie.

exhibit c - you know how we get that sneak peek of alex. well, one of his lines says that he'd like to bring his girl back to the farm. you know who also says that, eddie. seriously, go play season 5 and you'll see.

i think fusebox saw that we weren't good with having eddie return and they just said, change the hair and give him a semi-new backstory. we'll call him alex. you know fusebox, they’ll take the feedback and do the bare minimum.

so now that you can't unsee, feel free to do with this what you will. or however, that saying goes. and before i get the whole ‘but this is alex’— i like alex and hope that fusebox didn’t do him dirty.

as is kind of tradition by now, I make edits of our favourite islanders as though they were at the met gala. Reason for why I did it - I liked Seb and like everyone I was pretty bummed that they hadn't included him as an LI. So in my very very early stage and noob tools of editing, i decided I wanted to make a Seb edit. Beardless because that's how I'm attracted to men irl. No facial hair.

P.s - not saying bearded men aren't cute or handsome , they for sure are, this is just a personal preference of mine.

Yk it kinda sucks that in some dialogues the characters seem to lose their individuality (? If that is the right term.) Like with the scene at the end of chapter 2 - I coupled up with Jin so Jack (out of nowhere) said that we don't work as a couple. If you choose to couple up with Oakley on the other hand, it's JIN who says that. Which is like???? It takes away the credibility of them as characters because it's not what THEY would say in that instance but rather what the GAME needs to be said to drive the plot.

Like I get that in those instances it would be either Jack or Jin who get jealous and start doing some bs, but it doesn't make sense to have them say THE EXACT SAME THING because they are different people and I feel like they would respond differently in that situation. Am i making sense here???
