TLC’s ‘Little Couple’ Stars Put Their Undamaged Houston Home on the Market
Donna Svennevik/Disney-ABC via Getty Images
Dr. Jennifer Arnold and her husband, Bill Klein, stars of the popular TLC show “The Little Couple,” are pressing forward with the sale of their colorful luxury home in Houston. Their four-bedroom home just landed on the market for $1,225,000.
While an Instagram photo shows there was flooding on the street where their house is located, the two-story home is raised up and sits atop a slight incline, so it didn’t sustain any water damage.
The street with our old house. Thank you neighbors for looking out for us until we can get there! #littlecouple #HoustonStrong #harvey
A post shared by Jennifer Arnold (@jenarnoldmd) on Aug 28, 2017 at 7:29pm PDT
The duo didn’t have to face the brunt of Hurricane Harvey because they moved out of Houston earlier this summer. However, their move didn’t spare them from nature’s wrath.
Their new home happens to be in St. Petersburg, FL, and Hurricane Irma forced them to evacuate last week. The couple and their two children dealt with extreme traffic, long lines, and gas shortages as they evacuated to stay with family members near Pensacola.
They reality TV stars left for Florida because Arnold took a position at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg this year. She previously served as medical director of the Simulation Center at Texas Children’s Hospital and the assistant professor of pediatrics, division of neonatology, at Baylor College of Medicine.
And despite the deluge in south Texas, listing agent Lisa S. Kornhauser with John Daugherty Realtors, told us the real estate market is surprisingly strong, with developers and buyers looking for a place to live in a nice neighborhood.

And this one, near the medical center and the Galleria and in an outstanding school district, is one of the best.
“This house has so much charm and character,” Kornhauser says. “It’s a masterpiece.”
One of the first things you notice about the interior is that it isn’t tailored to the family’s specific needs. The home was customized for the family, but the agent says work was done to return the amenities and features to standard height.
The couple had asked the agent if they should sell it as is and offer buyers an allowance to renovate, and she had advised them to do the renovations before putting the home on the market.
“Most buyers want turnkey,” says Kornhauser, adding it’s difficult for a buyer to envision the features of the home at standard height.
The couple hired a contractor to raise everything that was previously modified, especially in the kitchen and the bathrooms.

Painted bright blue with white trim, the plantation-style home features an open floor plan, wood floors, vaulted ceilings, and elaborate moldings. “It’s bright and light and lovely,” says Kornhauser.

Out back there’s pool and spa with water features, an outdoor kitchen, and a fire pit. There’s a bonus room being used as a gym right off the pool, and the home also has separate guest quarters.

“Everyone here misses them so much,” says Kornhauser. “They were wonderful neighbors.”
Arnold apparently feels the same way. She posted on Instagram that she was grateful to the friends and neighbors who looked after their home until they could return.
While the family was evacuated from St. Petersburg, Klein returned to Houston to help people and pets whose homes were damaged by Harvey. His return to Houston will be shown in a one-hour special, which will air after the upcoming Season 9 premiere of “The Little Couple.”

There are rereuns of the little couple on TLC right now and Bill is just SO SWEET to Jennifer, telling her she looks so beautiful even without hair. I am so impressed by Jenn’s trust in her Catholic faith. Not even once, even when she was at the salon shaving off her head, did she crack. She remained positive through it all. That is a true example of someone who trusts in the Lord fully. I need to be more like her. I need to be strong like her.
